Great iperf3 client

This is so simple and useful. Works exactly as expected provided you have iperf3 running in server mode on the other end. Great for debugging WiFi issues separately from Internet connectivity/speed. Should have a donation button in-app purchase! I’d be happy to contribute.

Simple and works great. One more feature would be nice

I run an iPerf server on a NAS and on a tiny linux server, both wired, and this tool makes it dead easy to check Wi-Fi performance on different APs and in different rooms. The only additional feature I’d like would be to have a list of multiple servers that I could choose from, instead of needing to remember and type them in when I want to change servers.

Needs a few more options

Works fine. Has option only for time, stream count, and ul/dl. Would like to have the other options available in iperf3. UDP is completely missing. Only TCP testing.

Nicely done, works well, and no unnecessary ‘features’!

I installed iperf3 on a home based Mac-mini server earlier today, connected via a Thunderbolt Gigabit (Ethernet) adapter, then left iperf3 running there in server mode... Later running this client app on an iPad has worked great to test the Wi-Fi in different areas, aside from whatever speeds your ISP may be providing. Thanks for this simple but very useful utility!

Make sure you use iperf3

Darn Ubuntu has both in their repos. Make sure you use the right version and it works awesome (who would have thought???) Simple. Robust. Exactly what I needed.

Great app!

This is a must-have for doing accurate and informative speed tests of your WiFi network, and it’s a very nicely-done app... simple and to-the-point. I really appreciate that it’s free, and my only disappointment is the lack of a “tip jar”.

Perfect

Have an iperf3 server docker container running on my Synology, and I’m able to test network speeds across my 2.4/5GHz speeds around my house. The app does exactly what I want it to do, without extra junk. A+ utility

Great little app!

This thing is perfect to test speeds on an isolated network and rule out crappy speedtest results. The ONLY gripe I have is you can’t save the results or the app doesn’t record them. Add that and I’ll spend $1.99 on it without issues.

Great test tool

This is a great test utility for those that wish to test the limitations of their internal network. I currently have a Pi-3 setup as a test server on my network that also serves as a IRLP hotspot for amateur radio. While I know the Pi-3 is the bottleneck on my testing currently, I will be purchasing a Pi-4 for use as a testing server away from home in the near future.

Online performance tests will tell you how fast your Internet connection is overall, but your service provider's speed is not the only factor: Wifi itself can significantly affect speed, latency and reliability.
