This update is horrible

I have an older iHome radio - 30 pin dock - which I used with my older iPhones and the app worked great - although a bit limited and inflexible as far as setting multiple alarms. One year later, purchased an iPhone 6 and had to use a lightning cable - whihc worked fine with the app. Fast forward two years, same iPhone 6 running iOS 10 and this recent update. I cannot control any aspect of the clock with the app and the same lightning cable plugged into the back although it appeared the alarm was set correctly and set to wake me up via the radio station preset. With my job my time to go to work can vary and missed being late one day thanks to my wife, the second time I was an hour late. I was able to utilize the controls on the clock but that defeats the whole point of owning this $100+ clock. This needs to be fixed.

Absolutely Worthless

This app is extremely outdated and serves no purpose the only things you can do on this app (which is very limited next to nothing) you can just do with the Apple clock app. Not only is this app useless it also crashes constantly I have updated and done everything possible to have this app not crash but it still does. The only reason I got this dumb thing in the first place was to customize my alarm. But no anytime I even touch the alarm setting the app crashes 100% of the time. I have never seen a worse app and hope I never do then this worthless thing. This app doesn't even deserve 1 star

Gotta love that lockout image.

Got a hold of a secondhand iP50 dock that uses Bluetooth and the older 30-pin interface, which is why it was cheap secondhand. However, on a modern Lightning equipped phone (iPhone 8 Plus) and pairing only with Bluetooth, I was greeted with a lockout screen, telling me to connect the device to the 30-pin after a few seconds of quick adjusting. The app was pretty convenient for the few seconds of using it, almost all parameters from alarm set, to tone control, to even dimming the display. Slick until it tripped hard.Way to go, Soundesign! The iP50 is pretty good on its own, a shame about this app.

Thank you for the update!

This latest update makes the app a little less visually appealing than it used to be, but it's now fully functional again, so I'll take it! I use the app on a 6S Plus with an iDL100 and was getting frustrated at not being able to turn the alarm on and off, set the brightness, or change modes via my phone after the iOS 10 update. I thought I read that this app wouldn't be supported any longer, so I'd sort of resigned myself to having only partial functionality. I was so happy to see this update, and to find that everything works again as it should!

Still works

This app is simple. It helps you set the clock settings on your iHome brand products. NOTE that the app only appears to do something when you dock it to the clock.I just replaced the kids' old 30-pin connector iHome clocks with the Lightning connected models (got one for me, too) and we use this app whenever the time changes or the power goes out.It has other functionalities such as letting you adjust the clock's dimmer, radio volume, etc. (if your clock has those functions), but we only use the time adjustment feature. It claims to check your firmware and update it when necessary, but we have never seen a firmware update with any of our iHome clocks.

Never buying iHome again

This app never worked perfectly, but it did work and the devices were great. Although they never fixed the bugs, at least they recompiled it so it would work through a couple iOS updates. It was the bare minimum they could do (and takes no effort) but even that proved too demanding; now the app doesn’t work, so their devices are bricks. If they had folded this app’s functions into newer apps that handled other products it’d easily be worth getting more iHome devices, but they’ve shown the extent of their customer loyalty. If I knew then how long that lasts I’d *never* have bought from them.

Limited initial functionality made worse by update

I've had this product for a few years and was never entirely happy with its limited functionality. You have very few choices as far as which days you'd like your alarm to turn on (your choices are: weekday, every day, or weekend. Even my phone allows me to pick individual days, so that on MWF when I wake up early for the gym, my phone alarm will automatically turn on without my having to set it the night before. With this alarm clock, I have to remember Sunday, Tues & Thurs to set my alarm to turn on at a different time.) Also, you only have 2 alarm preset slots; so I use one for waking up on MWF, another for TTH, and I'm out of presets. If I want to wake up at a different time on Saturday, I have to adjust one of my presets.Recently, they decided to "update" the app, and since then it's been near unusable. It crashes constantly, I have a hard time turning the alarm on & off using my phone, and the option to set the alarm to a specific radio station is gone. I thought it would just turn on to whatever station it was last on, but no, I woke up to static yet again this morning. This product is a good idea, but the execution is poor, and they just can't seem to get it together.

iHome just keeps getting worse

The first iHome I bought, I loved. It came with a remote and the sleep option had the music fade out before it cut off. But the LED eventually died and the support team didn’t offer any repair options. So, I bought a new one. No remote. And the music just cuts off without fading out. Latest thing, the app (iHome+Sleep) stopped working, so I deleted it and tried to download it again. But now it’s showing “not available in my country/region”. So, I tried iHome Set, which offers considerably less than the iHome+Sleep option. With the old app, I could set multiple alarms by day (not just weekend, weekdays, etc) and set my sleep and wake music from the Apple Music App. No more. Instead of improvements, SDI takes the best features and eliminates them. I hope to find a better product no matter what I have to pay for it.

This app does nothing. Nothing.

Even if you try to get support it does nothing. All there is is a screen to buy other products. Nothing else. Who wants or needs that??If you try to access support all it does is ask for your model number and then nothing. I registered the product (while having to have it connected to the device!!! Super annoying!!!) and still nothing but a black screen with the app version and a place to buy things. And even after registering it says I have to have my phone connected to the alarm clock to use it! Even if it did work What is the point?? I can set it less awkwardly just using the clock itself. What is this supposed to do other than cause aggravation? It certainly does not do anything they list in the app page. Or anything at all for that matter. I hope the actual product actually works. I've never bought ihome before and so far I am not diggin' it.

Major problems with app

Well, seeming like this app has been hated for a ehile now, let's make this worse. I have hated this app for a while now, but they just made an update where now my ihome isn't compatible with the latest version. Seriously, STOP UPDATING APPS, I now most likely can't ever use my ihome since next time the clock change comes around it won't change. When I have the guts to, I am going go get something that isn't Ihome, or even apple, since they just keep making older models irrelevant If the app devs delete this review I'll just make the same one, since I copied it and pasted it onto a doc. Until they make this better i will keep my hate for this app
