I emailed the developer details of problems that popped up after some recent app updates. I also informed them of the camera model, monitoring device, app version and some images of the persistent issue. I later received an email of sorrow for the issue as well as notification of an update. After I applied the advised update, the error ceased and my system returned to better, normal.For the moment, a Happy Customer
The cameras I bought have great pictures and video. The sound is okay but can be crackly. My issue is the software. It doesn’t always wake up and capture the video. I have to go into the software to wake the cameras up. It’s also annoying when you first open the software, it asks you to register even though you’ve already registered. Then you have to click the login button and agree to the policies every time you use the the app. The app should remember that you’ve already registered and agreed to the policies.
After hours of trying to get my two new cameras hooked up, I finally realized I had bought the wrong cameras for our router. They were a prime day deal, I don’t remember the 2.5 vs 5g description but either way, we bought the wrong thing. I apologize for the initial review but I will leave it here in case someone else has the same issue. Sorry again, upped the star count.Just bought two of these cameras and neither will recognize my router password. I have had several different cameras like this for years and have tried with these, all of the tips and tricks I’ve done in the past. These still do not recognize my wifi router at all. Kind of useless without that!
I have this app for a birdhouse camera. It rarely connects and when it does it loses connection. I have a 5Ghz AP outside and the signal is strong outside. This entire week it won’t connect - right when the eggs are hatching and it makes me really mad I can get video of it. Also sometimes the light goes on by itself ruining the house wrens sleeping patterns. Overall I am disappointed. I can’t even watch the camera on my desktop. Only my iPhone.They recommended I go to 2.4 on the AP but it already is 2.4 - but I appreciate the response. The other problem is that I need to reboot the camera about once a day or else it won’t let me in let alone view recorded video. I don’t believe that has anything to do with the MHz.
The app itself has been updated pretty well over the course of about a year. Things are more streamlined, and simpler to use. However, the alexa skill is still a bit of a mess, even after the update to it. Alexa Skill Issues- Cannot open the quad display to see multiple cameras at once (no command for this)- Cannot open the intercom (no command for this) - Cannot turn the camera that is selected (command in the iCSee app states to say rotate left, right, etc. This command does not work as of the time of writing this review)- There are no touch controls for the Skill itself (No ability to use the intercom, Some things that would really help out the use of iCSee on the Echo Show would be adding the same touch controls for camera control on the Alexa Skill. Please improve the Alexa Skill, and possibly take some of these things into consideration.
I paid for this product. And I can’t use it without having an ad pop up first thing, filling the entire screen and preventing me from quickly going into the video when I need to see what’s happening? And having the X be tiny and having I look for it. And now, you have an ad that plays horribly loud music? And my volume wasn’t even up! It was at 35%. How DARE you play loud music on my phone, without permission or warning. Even when you’re already in the screen showing the camera video, STILL your insanely loud music plays. At no point did I sign anything that says you can do this. Now I have to throw an entire product away, because I can’t use it, without using your awful spam bloatware. Oh, and its My phone. No one is using it. And no one gets in without a password. I don’t need to have to login every single time! This is a cheap camera. It’s not guarding gold.
These cameras started out great and the app was fairly simple to use. Over the years they have become more loyal and focused towards extra charges and corporate advertising. I understand this is fairly normal with most all companies and typically with fees your level of service increases. Not the case here. I have less functions available with my cameras through this app now then I did years ago when I first got it. Their privacy agreements change frequently and whether you pay for their online services or not you still have to sit through their partner advertisers before being able to access your cameras. Not fun when an urgent situation is unfolding and you can’t see because you have to first watch a pharmaceutical commercial.
Camera was so dark after recent upgrade that I could not see it. Maybe it’s just coincidence with the upgrade. After a week or so it’s now back working fine. It’s a few years old and still a good working camera. My internet speed is great, but at the highest resolution, it shows has a few horizontal lines that randomly pass through it, but it’s minor.
I’ve had two of these cameras for a little over a year the only issue I had is one of the cameras power adapter burnt out and I have many adapters and after swapping things were great after the last update I did have issues where I have notifications but no video would record So I had no preview but I emailed the company and with their great customer service they were able to get me up and running and have my notifications working perfectly again five stars for these guys
I have been using this app for a few years now and I have never had any issues with it. I would guess for those who have had or is having issues with connection problems than maybe the issue is not with this app but with their cameras or internet connection dropping on and off. If others like myself are having no problems with this same app than logic would be that most issues that do arise is because of something else.
