This app is great for viewing live-camera feeds, but it desperately needs better playback capabilities. Currently, you can only move to time slots and then must watch your playback in play mode patiently to view a camera event. If you’re not sure of the exact time an event occurred, you’re forced to skip around time slots and then play at normal speed. The app NEEDS a variable speed REWIND and FAST-FORWARD option so you can move to a playback time slot, and then speed-up playback forward or reverse (preferably variable speeds) to quickly find an event. Do this, and the app deserves 5-stars!!!
I own a staffing agency. Because we deal with peoples money sometimes we get people that get unruly and nutty. I decided to put in a camera security system. The cameras and all that go with it are better than I even imagined. Incredible!!! I can access the cameras from my phone! This was an excellent buy. It took some work getting the cameras set up. I have a friend that helped. We had an issue with getting it setup through the app on the phone but we got help with the manufacturer and got the issue resolved quickly.Absolutely no issues/problems since.I highly recommend this product!
I am just starting to use this app, it isn’t bad but the cameras don’t go from day light to dark and dark to day light on there own. I would think that would be a simple fix but not yet.. that is why I gave it 3 stars..
I’ve used this app frequently over the last couple months, both on network and off network and I’ve had pretty good success with it so far. I did notice on a couple occasions the fail to connect/bad network that was mentioned by previous reviews, but in my instance it was the cellular network I was on that was creating the problem, not the local network that the cameras were plugged into. H.264 mode is supposed to help with that since it uses less bandwidth than the default mode, but it hasn’t been problem enough for me to change it, since doing so would also be a slight hit on video quality. The only recommendation I have of the application so far is to provide more administrative control options to my NVR, since I can only play live video or playback video recorded since midnight of the day I’m currently on.This app is not a substitute for administering the NVR, but for viewing video footage it works great!
Hello, I was wondering if anyone had this issue. I’m currently using the latest guarding vision app. The problem I’m having, when I had my iPhone 12, I would receive notifications from the guarding vision app when ever there was an event/ motion. I recently got a new iphone 13 pro max. After getting this phone, I can no longer receive notifications from this app. I am receiving notifications from other apps on this phone. I called Apple and they checked everything on my phone and told me this issue wasn’t with the phone but perhaps the app. Can anybody relate to this issue and to the app developer, can you advise on how to resolve this issue? Thanks!
I am using GuardingVision app with my Nelly Security NSC-DB2 3MP WiFi Video Doorbell Camera. Everything works great except for one annoying issue. On playback of video, there is no way to enable full screen like there is on the live view of the camera.Since the NSC-DB2 is a 3MP fisheye lens, the full screen mode is the only way to view video in the correct aspect . However, not being able to view the playback videos in full screen makes the viewing too distorted to properly identify persons of interest after the fact.Pretty sure that enabling full screen on playback would be easy to implement in a future release given it is already available on the real time view.
Why is this app so darn difficult and unstable? Trying to do any sort of playback is a joke. You have no option to jump ahead or move back 10 or 30 seconds at a time when in playback. You have to manually move the time bar back and forth. Even when you do this is will revert back to its old position like 5 times before it lands on the correct time i need and even then a lot of the time it displays “failed”. Which means i have to redo everything. The in app record feature is useless. I have to screen record when i need something saved. Developers please fix these issues. Need better stability and functionality for playback!!
After recent update I am no longer receiving push notifications for motion alerts. I still see (delayed) notifications within the app, but no push notifications. I turned off the “schedule”, turned off all notifications shut down app logged back in and turned notifications back on, even deleted the app and reinstalled - nothing. This app is mostly useless without push notifications to alert me of any motion detections, I was pretty satisfied with this app until the recent update.
This app seems to have different behavior all the time on iOS, even on different devices running the same iOS version. Reading the recent reviews has helped me regain sanity. I’m trying to rely on it but things like making me tap the camera views on the ipad at least once a minute so it doesn’t time out is unhelpful and double tapping camera views to go full screen now crashes the app. I understand iOS updates can break things but would hope the devs are ahead of the release cycle to test and fix bugs in test flight. Another request is to have faster scrubbing speeds than 8x. To review a night of footage takes an hour right now which I do t have time for. I’m used to having 16x and 32x with other security apps. Will continue with app since I’ve invested heavily into the system but please continue to update this as its a good app other than the recent bugs. Note that I’m a long time network engineer and have struggled with the setup due to needing several different apps and systems to configure the Anpviz system. Maybe I’m over complicating it but trying to follow instructions but they don’t seem to line up with what I’m seeing in the system.
Thought the app was extremely good, I could select any view and flick through the other views. After the upgrade 3 days ago I now need to click on each view to see it. When you have a number of notifications it is not as easy as before, lots of scrolling and clicking also when the doorbell button is pushed although it rings I do not get the video until about 5 minutes after.
The Guarding Vision app is designed to work with DVRs, NVRs and IP cameras which support Cloud P2P function. It allows you to live view your cameras remotely. All you need to do is creating an account and adding device into the account, then you can enjoy the real-time video from cameras on a global scale.
