What it could use

It was mostly great except it does not tell you how to say it or like Siri says it so that is one thing they could change but overall it is a good app.

Not a free app

I was looking forward to using this app, but they only give you a 7 day free trial (you have to input your credit card information first). I wished that they would at least offer some free lessons with ads, than to have users pay for a subscriptions to even be able to use it.

Buy a book for 12 or an app for 64 a year?

I do wish you didn’t have to download the app and waste Internet bandwidth in order to find out that they want an egregious amount per year.

Practice Grammar

This is a great resource for practicing grammar, which complements the vocab practice in Duolingo. The only downside is that there isn’t much explanation included. There’s a quick overview of each topic but not any nuance or explanation of wrong answers- for example the plurals section has a ton of practice questions for umlauts but doesn’t have any instruction on when to use umlauts. If you are learning the language with some other source and want something to practice, I think this app serves that purpose well (disclaimer, I’m barely into learning German so I can’t comment on how accurate the information is)

Toll!

I don’t usually write reviews but I love this app. The “word of the day” widget is cute. I’ve been looking for an app that can give me a comprehensive guide on German grammar, as I struggle with it (especially the accusative case and sentence structure). I’m downloading the Spanish app you made as well. I have a suggestion- do you think you can make a French grammar app? It’s another language on my list and so far it has been eluding me. I recommend this app if you need a more in depth look into the language. Use in unison with other apps like Duolingo- Duolingo helps with practice in real life scenarios and this app helps you actually understand the language rules. Love! 🖤❤️💛

Room for improvement

1. Need to give immediate correct answer!2. At end of exercise they should gray out wrong answers to deemphasize (but still keep red X next to it) and BOLD correct in green. Psychologically it will help to encode correct answers in brain. Currently the bold red draws attention to incorrect answers and the brain and encodes that rather than right (because it is a soft gray).

Wonderful resource for learning German

This application is an amazing resource for anyone trying to master the German language. I use it in conjunction with a grammar book. It helps me practice what I learned and solidify my knowledge of was material.

Fills in the gaps

Duolingo was not explaining the rules well or giving me the kind of practice I need to memorize grammar patterns. I was looking for a second, more grammar-focused app to supplement it, and all the conversational-practice ones people rave about were not hitting that for me. This is exactly what I needed. Subtracting a star mostly for some presentation issues, including the way it divides problem-batches, which doesn't make sense and will make memorization harder. (200+? Seriously?) Overall, though, was very relieved to find this and expect to keep it past the trial week. Maybe someday, conversation-apps...

Great grammar app to fill the gaps

Many other apps teach you vocabulary but with German, grammar is very important. It’s nice having an app that helps with this part.
