I’ve been a Front user for a few years now. I absolutely love the browser and desktop versions- but this app is ridiculous. It’s been buggy for months. Issues so major i keep thinking to myself that that have to be working on this - but then nothing ever gets better! Just now i was trying two work on my iPad Pro and literally cant type in the comments section. Tried closing the app and restarting - nope. Then i came to App Store to look for an update and i have the latest version. So, i thought I’d leave a review.
There’s honestly no going back to your basic email clients like gmail or apple mail. This truly is email 2.0. My company uses it and I cannot believe I went all my life never thinking about how email could evolve. Do yourself a favor and get your company to sign up for Front and see efficiencies you’ve never experienced. The email capabilities of gmail, chat capabilities of slack, with no-code automation is truly a match made in heaven.
It takes time, like any platform, to learn and fully utilize. But, unlike most platforms Front is intuitive and is easy for people to get the hang of quickly! The button layout and multitude of external integrations is incredible! Will keep using for a long time to come
Front has completely revolutionized the way my team communicates with our customers. It’s packed with features and integrations, and if you have an issue, their support team is very responsive. Easily the most valuable app we use.
If you are looking for shared email capabilities, this app is great, if you are looking for way more than that, this app is even better. I have been using it for at least 4 years, and would hate to try and run our team without it at this point.
The desktop version of this is incredible. They have failed to innovate in any capacity on their mobile app in any capacity. There are no widgets. They lock you in from the web and then give you a terrible uninventive mobile app with nothing special, slow speed, minor bugs, and no widgets to improve the workflow. If I wasn’t locked in would look for competitor with more innovation in the team that cares about their customer experience more.
Unsolicited advice to front team: model your swipe animations and user interactions around Superhuman’s app. Swipe transitions are too slow … everything should be simpler/faster optimized for speed/power users. I want to use Front as my primary client but I feel like I’m going to go back to superhuman eventually because of little UI things like this
This app is infuriating. My work requires lots of switching between this app and others, lots of copying and pasting from an email to another system, and every time I leave the app and come back it forgets where I was and goes all the way back to the top of the inbox, requiring me to scroll and scroll and reload all the messages I had already gone through to find what I’m working on. Please fix this...
The desktop app is solid but the mobile app (at least as of this writing” has a couple time-wasting behaviors.First, it will truncate longer emails. So my daily news digest will have an annoying message 75% down that says “This message was truncated. VIEW FULL MESSAGE” so I have to tap that to open the email in a popup and scroll down to figure out where I left off. I gave them feedback on this months ago as well as suggestions on how to improve it, but there’s been no change. At least give us a setting to turn it off.Second, when I click a link in my email digest to read an article on the web, I am taken to my mobile web browser app (e.g., Chrome). When I switch back to Front, it closes the email I was in and takes me back to my main inbox. What is the point of this?! I want to get back to exactly where I was. It used to only do this after a few minutes of being outside the app, which was annoying but tolerable. Now it does it every time, even if I’m gone from the app for a few seconds. Makes very little design sense, and it wastes a ton of time returning to my spot. Very disappointed. The mobile app is otherwise decent, and the team has been helpful on support requests, but I really wish they would fine tune these productivity missteps.
Well, I don’t write reviews often at all. But I have to this time, after a year of using this app - solely because I’ve never, in my entire life, received better customer service...!I reported one issue (after an update) that was a big deal in my eyes; but learned soon later that it wasn’t as big of an issue as I thought - it was probably only MY issue at that point. I knew there was no chance of resolving an issue that small and particular, that only one person was experiencing.. But instead of informing me kindly that there wasn’t much they could do about it, the person I spoke with (a developer) downloaded a completely different app (that I had on my phone) to make it compatible with their app again, as it did prior to the update. For me. I doubt anyone else uses that app with this app, yet they did that solely for ME! Wow! That is ABOVE AND BEYOND in my eyes! I still can hardly believe it.. So now you see why I felt the need to write this review.. I have always loved this app. It’s always been amazing, and continually getting better and better with each update. And now, due to this one experience that I’ve had with their CS recently, I am in awe! So if anyone’s debating getting this app, GO FOR IT! You won’t regret it at all! God Bless this app, and their team! 🤗❤️
