Great App that really works

I’ve tried and bought several apps that advertise similar functionality. None of them worked the way I wanted them to. I wanted an app that plays my mp3 audiobooks that are either store in my cloud account, or on my iPhone. It was also very important for me to be able to resume play from last position played, and to be able to create several bookmarks. This app delivers on all fronts. It has actually made it possible for me to enjoy my audiobooks while driving (the are mp3 books made up of several chapters). I do use audible, audiobooks, etc. for off the shelf books, but I can’t use these apps to play mp3 audiobooks made up of 100+ chapters. Evermusic allows me to do so.

The only good iOS music app for those who have mp3 files of their own

This is the best ios app for music I've seen. Lets you copy paste files via regular file manager, removing the need for itunes on windows which is a huge plus. Really nice looking and very functional. While looking for this I first used flacbox very briefly until I realized this existed since flacbox seems to crash a lot, basically identical but this seems to have bug fixes. One thing that I noticed was different (using full version of evermusic vs flacbox) was how music added via file manager shows up as downloaded music under media library, and you can't add this to the regular songs list. I'm not why they are differentiated, but I only have files added this way and nothing online. I don't mind this, I'm wondering why the difference though. Otherwise very happy to use this and not deal with itunes or any of the other not so great music apps out there.

it’s just that, amazing.

Although not perfect. I just upgraded my phone to the eleven max pro and it had refused to let my old app (musicloud pro) download onto it since it is no longer in the appstore. And evermusic was the best bet I can find to something akin to my old app. All my music was downloaded with ease, and I absolutely love the organization feature so I can rename all my files! The music plays nicely, the templates offered are absolutely insane and I just love everything about the app. The only thing I must comment on though is the file photo cover.I tried many times to switch the covers with one of my own from dropbox but it never loads, although my personal photos will load onto playlist covers. I just wish there was a way to fix this, and to edit album covers (so that all the songs from the specific album can have the same personalized photo automatically) just like I can edit playlist covers. The file covers they have accumulated from the internet are mostly abhorrent and I just can’t stand them lol. I’ve seen that this has been a problem from the past from other reviews as well. Other than that, this app is still amazing and I’d drop my money on it again any day!

Great App!

Evermusic is a great alternative to having my songs in the Apple Music app because it gets rid of all the extraneous stuff and narrows it down to just my library. There’s an option to move your songs over from the Apple app, which was nice, and then I can just add mp3 files. I very much appreciate the fact that the app finds the album covers! It’s not always accurate—sometimes it brings up a compilation that has that song (like “Now That’s Music!”) or a remix and doesn’t even pay attention to the album name—but most of the time it gets the job done, and I can just send myself the album cover from the internet and add it manually if needed. Many of the other apps I found have unlimited access to music and videos, which I don’t want (I like having my phone very locked down), and this app does not have that! Much appreciated. My only two complaints are, first, that when I have the phone plugged into CarPlay (which doesn’t show up on the car screen because I have Siri turned off) the images (covers) don’t show up on the phone, which makes it annoying to quickly find songs at stoplights. Second, the Audio Tag Editor won’t let me edit the tags for some instrumentals that I downloaded. I don’t know if it’s because they’re not “real songs” or something, but the option would be nice.Other than that, very well made app. Would recommend.

Almost perfect, but needs some fix

This music player has a really good interface, as well as for its file manager. But there are some things I have to point out : First, there’s a noticeable lag every time you change tracks in the lockscreen, so try fixing that. Something you should add to the app, is being able to share or export multiple songs at the same time, compared to only being able to export one track at a time (for now). Because right now, I have like 500 songs stored into Evermusic, and if I want to export them for some reason to the stock Files app (in case Evermusic stops working for some reason and I lose all my songs), I would have to export them one by one which takes forever to do so, whereas if you allow us to export a bunch of songs at the same time, that would be much more easier. One more thing, is being able to import pictures from the camera roll to change album artworks, instead of being limited to only cloud storages (G Drive, Dropbox...).Other than those problems, the app is great.

Problems in update

This is the best offline music player app I’ve managed to find and I love it. I hope it can remain as such, however the last update gave a few annoying problems. Music will stop playing in the background when I’ve opened another app where it used to not happen before, the little bar at the bottom of the screen showing which song is playing will display the wrong album art, and as I’ve added new music and edited their tags some accented letters will display as completely different ones. I also do not like how when I open the app I am greeted with the entire screen saying continue playback, I wish it would return to the original home screen of the music library where there is already a continue playback button option among others.

Was fine until the last 2 updates

The app was great when I first got it, would be five stars, but lost a star after an update because the album covers thing got screwed up. It would either choose its own, or not have one at all. Other than that it still worked fine. After this latest update, I’m very disappointed. It stated that the album covers thing would be fixed, I go into the app and all but a few of the album covers are not there. Just blank. The ones that do have covers are not the original cover I chose for the album. Just all the same picture from my Google drive. When I chose edit image, it fixed it for just the album image, not the album images next to the songs. And that’s not all, I can’t even upload songs from Garage Band to the app anymore. I use Garage Band to make songs and I copy them to Evermusic. Now, it doesn’t give that option. It just says “Evermusic” and it loads the song and then nothing happens. It’s not in there. At first I thought this was a problem with the Garage Band app, but when I went into Evermusic I discovered that there is now an option to upload your songs from in the app by just choosing one from files. I did, and it just loaded and loaded and didn’t do anything. If you fix this stuff, I will change my rating to 5 stars. Thank you in advance.

Favorite Music app but now crashes after update

This is my favorite music app but after using it to listen to hundreds of different songs for months. Being able to use the equalizer for enhancing songs is great. Only problem I’ve had is the app shutting off if I have a song paused while out of the app and having to restart the whole app and wait for my playlist and songs to reload before I can continue listening (this may have been fixed in the latest update; I updated August 29, 2023). Now however when I try to start the app after updating today it crashes immediately so I can no longer use it at all. Hopefully this is fixed soon since this is my favorite music app by far.

Basically flacbox with some bugfixes

I love their other app, Flacbox, but it has a lot of bugs that seem to not have ever been fixed. such as I could never get it stream FLAC'S from my NAS. This one does, so I feel like I'm essentially paying for the same app, twice. I don't know why they couldn't have just fixed FLACBOX, instead of getting us to pay again for what is essentially the same app.Only bug I can see in this one is that when you load an folder to play (not in a Playlist) it seems to play the songs in alphabetical order instead of by track number, which is frustrating. It also needs the ability to view your online music by folder, as now it just does it by artist or album or song, which can be frustrating when you have your collection organized a certain way and know how to get to what you want, quickly.Good program, but not happy about essentially paying for it twice.

Quirks in recent update

The app's been working beautifully for a taste-test-type of mp3 software or whatever, but there's something in the latest update that pauses the music outright when I open the photo app in both Default and Mixed mode. I tried to work with it at first, but it got really annoying as time went on, misswiping and simply trying to get shots of something every other moment, although it keeps playing if I'm using my Voice Memos app at the same time, curiously enough. That, and the file sizes stopped showing up in the...files...section. I'm not sure why that's gone in the most recent update, I'd like to know how much of the 200 megabytes or so my podcasts are taking up, haha.Oh! and the music speeds are kind of funky. I usually don't mind the crumbly bumbly nature of them, but as I took up listening to Crystal Castles again, not being able to hear the changes in pitch from the .95 and 1.05 speeds kind of bums me out. Again, no dealbreaker, but things keeping me from considering this app absolutely perfect. I'd buy it several times over if I could.
