I never write reviews but I’m making an exception for this game because it is genuinely so fun and unique. So I first discovered the game through an ad and wasn’t expecting much from it. But omg I was hooked from the first few minutes of playing. The graphics are beautiful and there are so many things to do and interesting storylines. It isn’t really a pay to win game either, you can enjoy playing without spending a single penny! There are also a lot of dress up options + pets + cute guys (lol) and you can adopt a kid! This is currently my favorite game and I could just play for hours. I really hope it gets more recognition in the future because it deserves it. If you’re thinking of getting this game, do it!! You won’t regret it.

addictive BUT terrible customer service

the game is super fun and is easy to get addicted to (in a good ¿healthy? way!) i have also met a bunch of friends that will probably last the rest of my IRL. I would definitely give it a 5 star review… HOWEVER. the customer service is poor. terrible. awful. devastating. and extremely disappointing… you do not have to spend real money to have fun in the game, but a lot of people do, to take full advantage of the events & rewards. the system is flawed- for example, I purchased (with REAL money) an item to use in an event. it was purchased to be used last minute to end in top place. after the purchase, the item appeared in a different location than I thought- so by the time I claimed it and went back to the event to use it, the time was up. I reached out to customer service to ask if I can use it on the next event. they said no. I asked for a refund- they said no since I gained VIP rewards from it. ok that’s understandable. then they said they would reach out to see if I can use it in the next event again, and yet AGAIN i was told no. so I spent REAL money for nothing and customer service is doing NOTHING to keep me as a loyal, VIP, multiple server player. there are a TON of other items that are saved in your inventory to be used when the event or time comes up. but apparently not ALL the events- which IMO is cow crap.

not so bad but could be improved

Since the game is super new I understand it can take time to work out things and fine tune the game to the players liking but overall I don’t think it’s a bad game my favorite aspects of the game are the gorgeous outfits and tons of sort of mini games but there could be many improvements for example the voice overs sometimes use different accents it can be jarring I think it would be better if they spoke Chinese or just one accent of the English language. I’m not huge on lore so I always skip the stories but I think the story could be a lot more interesting like a strong romance plot. I love that you can customize your character but I think giving the option to change skin tone would make it better. And lastly I personally would enjoy if the bgm was more of Chinese folk music. Nonetheless I hope to see updates from now on that’ll hopefully improve gameplay

Best “empress” game!

If this kind of stuff (Ancient China, concubines, harems, etc) interest you then you’ll love this game! I normally don’t play mobile games but I can’t put this one down. There’s never any ads to watch (however it does advertise in game purchases) which is a nice change of pace from most mobile games I’ve tried. The story is interesting and the gameplay is fun. It’s a lot to take in at first but once you know your way around you’ll keep coming back. My only complaint about this game is that some of the translations to English are a bit inaccurate/ confusing BUT I can still understand what is meant to be said and that hasn’t taken away from my enjoyment at all. I maybe even caved in and purchased some gold because I’m addicted… join us! ╰(*´︶`*)╯

surprisingly fun!

yes; the ads are really annoying, however it’s actually a fun time sink, and it has a story plot too which was unexpected! i haven’t played these types of games before (empress games specifically, it seems to be a genre now?), so i read the reviews. there aren’t actually any ads in this particular game, even for the free gacha aspects. there is obviously some P2W stuff, but it’s easy to ignore and mainly just like extra stat boosts/currency, etc. a big component of it is building up servants and collecting resources for that, and some idling aspects (waiting for timers to go down), so if you play different types of idle games this will feel familiar. very fun to play while waiting for the bus or something!

Surprisingly addicting!!

It felt like I was endlessly being advertised this game in other apps so I caved and gave it a try, and now it’s my favorite mobile game I’ve ever played!! I’m really happy that there’s no in game ads and honestly it’s completely enjoyable without pumping money into it. Some things cost a lot of money to get (ingot costs are crazy) but it’s very enjoyable without any of that, the game rewards you plenty just for playing and there’s SO much to do!!! The outfits are so pretty and the story is better than I thought it would be. The weird accents throw me off but you get used to it (why does one person have a southern us accent??). The competitions are fun but I do think some players will always be at the top and have an unfair advantage over others. The game also disconnects regularly but it’s not the worst annoyance honestly. All in all a GREAT game!!! No regrets downloading this

It’s alright

I think overall it’s an interesting game to play. Brushing past the fact it’s nothing like the advertisements, you need a lot of prestige (what is used to fight in the story) to move forward in the game. And a lot is an understatement. In order to gain them you do have to wait a while and if you want to take the short run, you have to use ingots (a type of currency in the game) pretty often. And the costs for buying ingots with real money is outrageous. Besides that, I think that the dress up aspect is fun and the outfits are pretty. There are also a lot of different tasks besides the main story. This game is fun and addicting but it can get pretty annoying at times 👍

Upset

Im highly upset with a lot of things like the manor house why do I need to buy materials to be able to make what I want you guys are making this unfair on top of the fact that the materials take hours just to make 100 and I have enough supplies so I’m honestly over it can’t even make something pretty without having to actually spend money on the game, number two is the koi pond if I have the fish to make a wish why is that I spend it and get the same clothes OVER AND OVER it’s not fair and then the fur part I have 5000 canton crepe for recycle exchange but can’t get a single piece because for some reason I don’t get any fur so it’s honestly just wasting my time and frustrating me, some people don’t spend money on game like me, you guys are making everything so hard to do so tht we end up spending our money which I don’t appreciate at all because I actually enjoy the game but if I’m putting all this time for it to be the same things over and over I might aswell not play it anymore, I shouldn’t have to spend my earnings in the game to end up with nothing valuable taht I can have fun with…

Why am I addicted to this game?

So I see ads for games like this constantly, decided to give this one a go on a whim and now it’s part of my nightly routine… The plot is really good so far, the dress up options are *beautiful* and ingots aren’t too hard to collect so it’s fun to build up your clothing collection by buying stuff or by getting it in random rewards. There is a VIP option but it is not necessary to enjoy and progress in the games. You do run out of prestige kinda quick but you can always use vouchers you win or wait for the prestige bar to fill up for you to claim, and work on scolding in increments.This is my favorite game and I have no shame about it.

Great Game, Shady Business

I honestly love this game. It’s very fun. However, they are very shady about how they do in app transactions especially with their VIP system. If you try to bring this up to them or get a refund from Apple because you purchased something and didn’t get what you expected? You loose your account unless you pay that money back. Honestly it’s a shame. This is such a fun game and they didn’t need to go and ruin it with things like this. If they were just clear about what you needed to buy for the difference VIP levels it wouldn’t be an issue. But they hide that information away so you spend more money and when you try to get your money back they lock your account down instead of just taking away the in game items. They really need to over haul that entire part. So long story short if you want to play the game go for it. It’s very fun. But be warned. Don’t put any money into it.
