Fantastic app, even better history

I’ve been reading from the site since it pretty much first came out. It’s honestly a wonderful opportunity to be able to see the development of the site, from implementing teasers, gifs, comments, to a full blown app. These guys have come a long way and their number one thing has always been the readers and it shows. The amount of work that has gone into making the site what it is now has just as much gone into making this app and I wholeheartedly believe that you guys will enjoy a good read here.

Great app for reading and listening

I’m really enjoying the app. Great features like what others have mentioned: bookmarks across novels to keep track of where I left off, notifications about new chapters, and font and background changes for easy reading. What I discovered on my long 5.5-hour drive the other day was the audio option that made the drive fly by. While the voice is a bit robotic, you get used to it. I like that you can choose from a few options, change the pitch and the speed of the audio. Now I listen to chapters when I’m not in a place to read and am able to keep up with the different novels.

Good, but lacking

It has a very basic layout, but the most frustrating thing is trying to search for a specific genre, the issue being 6th at you can’t. There’s nothing you can find in the search menu, trying to use the categories shown in the books doesn’t work, you can literally only search by Korean, Chinese, ongoing and completed. Otherwise you can search the name I guess, but trying to find a new book to read is very difficult, and what’s frustrating is that it wouldn’t take much. They already have genres integrated, and yet they cannot be used at all. Overall, it’s great if you know the exact book you want, but you might want to look elsewhere if you want to read something new.

Great App

Lots to love about this app, I’ve been using it for almost a year now and I’ve been happily subscribed for around 8 months. Downloads are storage efficient since it’s all just text, the colored themes are easy on the eyes, and the text to speech is amazing once you get used to it being a bit robotic. The library may not be complete with ALL of the books you want, but there are plenty of great ones to choose from. 9/10 app with the only necessary changes being some simple bug fixes like not requiring users to sign back in when they come back online from an offline session.

Wuxiaworld Forever

I’ve been reading the translations from wuxiaworld for as long as I can remember and they have come so so far. One reason I love it is because I respect them so much for using the proper channels and getting permission from the authors and licensing the novels. There are so many translating teams out there, but few support the author and for that wuxiaworld has my full support. For an app that just came out and is apparently in “beta” this app is amazingly clean. Have yet to find a bug and although it could be polished a bit, it’s still the best Wuxia novel app yet. I love the community, the novels, everything. My one reason I was slow in reading some novels was because my computer isn’t able to be taken everywhere and now that the problem is solved, I might be the happiest person alive.

Great design

I decided to download the app to see how it is compared to the direct site, and I am impressed! Once you go into a book to read you can customize it to your liking with several easy to read fonts, change the background based on how bright the area is around you, and all of the chapters are in an easy to find format which actually surpasses the main site in an easy to scroll through way instead of having to leave the chapter you are in and going to another page. The Karma is much easier to locate than the original site as well, and the best part of all is that despite having ads, they haven’t been placed in disturbing and disruptive locations. Thank you very much for giving us free and easy to read stories translated to my native language. I have been reading for years and I’m not sure how much reading I would be able to do without it. So a special thank you to the translators and obviously the writers, and finally the people who have maintained this server through the years and kept it amazing.

Definitely should download.

If you’re looking to read a variety of novels ranging from detective work, romance, rising up the ladder, hurting gods, becoming gods, helping gods (Lots of gods) and more in the palm of your hand then this app is for you! It’s easily accessible and gives you more things to do in this event of quarantine, most novels are good and long, most, if not all, people are friendly, and most importantly, there’s dark theme. If it’s your first time using Wuxiaworld, I suggest reading Martial World as your first cultivation novel, Overgeared as your first gaming novel, and The Second Coming of Gluttony as the novel after these because the best is saved for last. Anyways, enjoy reading!

Turning into an Outdated Mobile Game for Whales

This app used to be amazing, but recent changes in monetization lock all series behind a timer of 1 chapter per 24 hours. It’s super disruptive and makes it hard to get immersed in the stories. Further it’s the type of time from mobile games a decade ago where the timer for the next chapter doesn’t start until you open the new chapter. They are actively opposing flow states, which seems really stupid for a reading app, but here we are. My last gripe is when they implemented the system,you lost access to all the stories you were in the middle of. I have 3 stories I was trying to read. One thinks I need to wait 150 days (assuming perfect check-ins) to continue. Another wants me to wait 552 days. It’s just super user unfriendly. I’m hating the decrease in quality of service.

I Love Reading

So I myself, like most other people discovered this app from the main site itself. I’ve been using this for 1 year ish and I love everything about it. The way going to the next chapter is so much easiest than other sites, how there is little to no adds while reading, and all the comments while reading just made all the better. I only have 2 main complaints, first is that there really isn’t any “social media” thing like discord etc, I could find on the app, and secondly, finding new novels to read after your last one. I’ve already finished around 13, latest being DE and I’m back to waiting everyday for new chapters and it takes a LONG time for me to invest in a new book. Maybe it’s just me but I can’t find a selection where it shows “all the books” the site has to offer. Good day and keep doing what you’re doing :)

The app works great

I've been reading on the mobile version of the website website for at least a year now and finally found out they have an app! It works very well, very little lag when opening a new chapter due to preloading. Very easy to navigate. Can use my apple id to pay for premium subscription. Remembers where I am in any of the 15 or so books I am currently reading. Gives notifications when chapter updates come out. Even if you don't have a premium subscription ads are minimally intrusive (4-5 banner ads a chapter at most, no pop-ups.)
