Worked without problem
I just bought this from Target, and based on the apps reviews was worried it wouldn't work. I plugged it in, downloaded the app, setup an account and Wifi, and done. Working great and app is simple to use. I'm using it to turn the Christmas lights on and off without having to go down into the garage do it.
Newest version of app not available in AppStore
I’ve had the plug and app for over a year and up until yesterday I really liked them. Now I try to log in to my app on my iPhone 11 and I’m getting a message that I need to download the newest version of the app. The old app is up to date, and there is no new version to be found in the AppStore.I tried on my Samsung tablet and got the same message, and when I looked in the Google Play Store I found a new version of the app. I downloaded the new app and it works. Really annoyed that updates were released that made the only working iOS app obsolete and no longer useful.
Genius
I love having the pleasure, of being able to control my lights from anywhere. This product makes my life so much easier. It also saves me money on my light bill. I’m in full control, of when my lights come on, and when they go off, right from the convince of my cell phone. The simplicity is Awesome.
Alexa Enabled?
Apparently this can’t be controlled by Alexa (or the Smart Things app) What a bummer!!!Update December 2019: I got feedback from the Wi_Fi socket app that I could make this socket work with Alexa by changing the device name to make sure there are no Chinese characters in it. However the instructions on doing that weren’t clear so I wasn’t able to accomplish that.Setting up scenes doesn’t give you options to set a clock to start or stop a scene. You can only choose from things like sunrise/sunset or outside temperature in you location. I can’t even set this up with the Smart Things app (which would help with Alexa control).Update: I found out how to set the Wi_Fi socket to a clock schedule. You can’t set it up in ”scenes”. You have to go to “devices” and click on the tiny arrow after the name of your device. It will expands to where you can set multiple start and stop times. I still have had no luck getting this Wi_Fi socket to be controlled by Alexa or Smart Things.

Wi Fi Socket works great. A friend gave me one as a Christmas gift. It’s convenient for me because I work second shift. While I am walking up the driveway I turn my lamp on to my bedroom. I haven’t had to touch my lamp since I received the plug. I had some fun with my family to. They didn’t know that I had the device, so I had my family thinking that my bedroom was “Haunted”. I told them that my light was going on and off in my bedroom. But, I had my phone in my pocket switching the lamp on and off like crazy! :) lol It was very funny. Thanks for a great product. I’m going to buy some more plugs since they work so well.
Keeping my semi-outdoor washer dryer from freezing.
Our guest house has a washer dryer in a kind of closet outside the main door which we have the washer and dryer in. We are able to have an plugged-in ceramic heater go on when the temperature gets down to a certain point and off when it goes back up. Worked for us all this year and last and very happy with it.
Wifi socket
Works great timers wish I could save it ..can't turn timer on while away to count down off. Or turn on by cellular if you use my cell phone # I should be able to do either away from home..or let us save timers count down .. so I can have light on when I get home late. But keep updating love this
Very satisfied
I’m overall very happy with my wifi socket it works great and was easy to setup and easy ui to navigate and just good quality overall. Only complaint is the click noise the box makes when I turn it on and off but that’s normal so it’s ok. 🙂
Working Really Well
Not sure why customers are having trouble. Target had these on sale and I purchased two of them. Downloaded the software, plugged then in, then paired them. They both work. Manual control works. Scheduling works. Unplugged them and moved them to a new location in the house - and they still work. They even work when my phone is only connected via cellular (so I can control even when away from home). I'm on an iPhone 8+ with iOS 11.2.1.
Spring forward and fall back
Wi_Fi socket does not work when time moves forward one hour or backwards one hour and I thought they fixed it at one time but it’s back to doing the same thing throws all my times off Wi_Fi socket please fix. Other than that it does what he supposed to do turn my lights on and off when I had the times that I have program and I really don’t have to bother with it once I sent the times excellent product
