Flakey at best

This is absurd. I bought two smart switches which took several series of connect, reset connect again, reset to get to work consistently. I then bought two smart plug-in switches and have had the same issue. The problem is now that I can’t connect them to an existing scene and my old “scenes” are broken. There are different firmware and software version on the plug in switch back the in wall switches and judging from other reviews that may be an issue but there is no intuitive way to update the firmware. This is kind of a joke for a$35 switch when all I am looking for right now is timer functionality.

Great customer support!

After installing my Legrand Smart Switch to run a ceiling fan, I had trouble getting it connected to my home network. I contacted Customer Support, which had to escalate the issue to their second level support group. I was immediately put in touch with Scott who quickly identify to problem as being an issue with my AT&T router. He explained to me that they were aware of the problem and were working on a solution. He took my contact info and told me he would get back to me once the new version of the Legrand app was out in Beta. Sure enough, I got a text message today from Scott who then called me on the phone and walked me through the entire set up. Switch works like a charm now with my Echo Dot.Extremely pleased with the overall level of support for Legrand. I can think of an awful lot of companies that could learn from these folks the right way to treat their customers. Thanks to Legrand, and especially to Scott!

I’m Done

Our Legrand Smart light switches never worked reliably nor consistently since installed in our new home just under a year ago. If everything on the network srsff to a perfect and power outages occur - they work. Gosh forbid your power goes out, or your internet service goes down - because these Legrand switches go dark and will not automatically reconnect - funny, my other 43 smart devices come back online just fine. Tech support responded once after my initial set of log files were emailed, baffled and requesting a ton of additional network/hardware, etc details which I provided, then silence - no follow up and no solutions . Save yourself a lotOf head banging frustration and stay as far away from these switches as you can.

Complete crap

The amount or errors on the app and switches is absolutely ridiculous. For the cost of the switch these are absolutely NOT worth it. I will likely never buy a legrand switch again and will be buying a different brand altogether and returning all of my legrand switches. It took over 10 attempts to pair one light switch, which promptly stopped pairing at all. The second switch would not pair. My spouse was unable to pair her app/phone to the switch entirely. I would not recommend this product and am appalled by how crappy it is. We will see if support can fix the problems or not but I am extremely doubtful.

Scenes working now

UPDATE: After a very helpful firmware update from Scott the scenes are working fine on my device now. Amending review. Even after the “migration”, scenes still only work a small part of the time for my device. I can set up an on scene for right now and an off one for 5 min later to test and it will sometimes work, but when I create them for tomorrow AM on PM off to actually use the switch, it does nothing. I’ve deleted and created scenes I don’t know how many times and it just doesn’t work. Turning a light on and off shouldn’t be this difficult. I’m giving it a 2nd star because it seemed to work fine before the migration, but now it’s completely unreliable/unusable.

Junky hardware, mindless app.

Hardware switches work randomly, some never come back after power outage or network reset. The app is very basic, not any more useful than Alexa app. The app upgrades are mindless ... why cannot they manage the retention of login credentials?Overall, the expensive crap made in North America trying to compete with Chinese and not making it. SAD!Edit: the company behind the product seems to be responsive. The representative has contacted me seeking additional feedback to improve the product. That is a good sign.

Innovative and responsive.

Bought the 3way smart in wall switch from Legrand for the sole purpose of automating my garage lights. If you are like me, you either forget to turn them on or forget to turn them off. Initially the switch worked well until my router updated its firmware. After contacting Legrand support, it was determined the switch would not board because the router would not pass the commands through. A borrowed router in the meantime allowed it to function again. Legrand was working on a software update to address the issue. Today I installed it and was able to move it back to my normal router. Legrand delivered on their promise. Thank you Scott @ Legrand for all your help.

Support is terrific!!

**** UPDATED REVIEW******Scott got on a call with me as promised and, within a few short minutes, we had everything working!! He was kind, patient, and very knowledgable about the product and the software. Outstanding resolution. I’m upgrading my rating; but not to a 5. I should not have has to go through all of this. Thanks, Scott!!Previous review below. Leaving it because it’s important to know where I came from. I have yet to get the app working with the switch; and, needless to say, Amazon’s Alexa. The device no longer commects with the app. It’s nothing more than a regular dummy switch now. It works, but only if you walk up and turn it on. You spend this kind of money on technologically sophisticated devices, you expect them to be tested and working. I have spent a good deal of time with “technical support” only to be told repeatedly to “wait until next week, we are issuing a major fix...stay tuned”. Well, the fix never comes. I have purchased a room full of Radiant plugs and switches. I don’t have the luxury of changing them all out for another brand because of the expense involved. I just want what I’ve purchased to work!!!Buyer beware!!!!

App doesn’t always work.

I just installed a Legrand wall switch. It works mechanically. The app turns the switch on and off but it never provides an indication that it is on. When turned on the icon in the app switches momentarily to white and then back to black even though the switch is still on. I tried the Alexa skill and it will turn the switch on. But it would will not turn off with an off command. But it will turn off if I issue a second On command. And the indicator in the Alexa app always shows that it’s on. I have several other Tplink switches that work fine. This one is going back.

Does not work with Google Assistant.

Absolutely ridiculous will not connect to google assistant because it will not work. It says Device settings are only available when device is online and you are on your home WiFi network. As expensive as the switches are it’s criminal they won’t connect.Update: I’m a moron. I found a diagram of step by step guide, I recommend that guide be put into the instructions.
