User Reviews for VectorMan Classic

Perfect

I had been waiting for this one. This has been one of my favorites since I got it for Christmas in 95. I don’t know how many times I’ve searched the App Store for “VectorMan,” hoping it would be available. It finally is and the port does not disappoint. I had to resize and reposition the controls, but that is quick and easy and now it is 100% perfect! I play it all the time and it has never crashed on my iPhone 7.

I can’t seem to actually play the game

I hate to give a bad review but in all honestly, I can’t even pay the game. It seems to just be a bunch of videos of the actual game. As soon as I push a button, it starts from the begging and plays another video. How do I play the actual game via this all?

SEGA Days Nostalgia!!!

VectorMan was so ahead of its game back in the day and I loved every second I played it as a kid. Flashback and Nostalgia in its purest form! I don’t know who decided to make this available for iOS but whoever you are, may you be blessed for all you have done for mankind. The only reason I don’t give this game a 5 star review is because I absolutely hate the controls. Nothing personal against the game. The game is amazing! The music is awesome! Even the capability and movement was ahead of its game! But you can’t take advantage of it because it’s so difficult to do the basic things like shoot diagonally and jump and shoot down. (If you don’t know about these you are a noob) More of a complaint against iOS, I guess. Why can’t I just use my Switch Pro Controller for this? There has to be a way! Please add NFC capability! I don’t want to cough up another $50 just for a control specifically for iOS games. Otherwise awesome game!

Talk about a pure nostalgia trip

I remember watching my dad play this when I was growing up and trying my hand at it also. But when you're 3 trying to play a game that is quite tough like this you probably won't make it too far. I love this game on the phone my only complaint if I can even call it that is that the control pad for movement is a bit too finicky. I try to look up and there I go. Hauling booty across the screen instead of shooting the tv I was looking at. That is the only downside I have and it isn't even a big one. Thank you for releasing such a fantastic game and letting me live my childhood yet again with these classic titles!

FINALLY!!!

I remember being just 6 years old playing on the Sega Genesis and this game was the second game I ever played (first game being Sonic 2!) I waited a long time for this game to come on the app store after hearing Sega was launching their classic games on the IOS. The game works great! I am so happy to be able to relive my younger days!

Great game but...

Ok this is vector man and I love vector man! Problem is: this is on mobile so you pretty much need a controller to play this game otherwise it’s incredibly hard to see anything if you are on mobile. But still I think sega is single handedly bringing quality back to the App Store. We are finally getting good games back in this and you definitely need to play some of these games since they are better than a lot of the games on the App Store now these days. Which is why It deserves 6 stars since it’s not a cash grab.

Was hoping it worked

I was reading reviews about how choppy it was and was hoping it worked. I did, and it brings back soooooo many memories of when I was a kid... I even paid for the ad free. It even has a save and a rewind time feature. What more could I want!!

Not being able to use without internet is so lame

Why do i have to have be connected to the internet to use this game now? You used to be able to use it with no internet connection, but i just updated it, and now you HAVE to be connected to the internet? That is so lame... the best thing about this game would be playing it on your phone somewhere when you dont have service. Also my sound WILL NOT work at all.

Love it!!

I absolutely love this game, the levels are challenging, the soundtrack is dope, and you play as a green guy! I just have one question: can you guys make a mobile port for the second game? It’s way more challenging and cool, there’s more than twenty levels! (If you do add controller support) I’m just asking for nostalgia’s sake. Thanks! Keep up the great work! :)
