The computer is awesome but all this does is sit on a blue screen and say sending tilt. I sat for 20 mins and it didnt do anything, even after giving it my Internet
The app works like it should.
About time someone makes it easier for some newbies like me.
Zis is a very good way to view your games
Apple charges $99 per year if you want to be a certified iOS developer, and The UDK (Unreal Development Kit) comes with the ability to export your gaming fantasies straight to your mobile platform if you can afford the $99 per year. For the rest of us, Epic Games was nice enough to create this little gem. Basically you enter your dev computer's IP Address and specify a port number for it to use, and you can use your iDevice as a controller while your game runs on an iDevice emulator on PC. This allows you to test control, touch, and tilt just as if your game as running on an iDevice. Excellent idea, implemented wonderfully, and it's free! Go and start creating stuff!
This app is absolutely wonderful, especially for developers like me who are not yet ready to register as an Apple developer -- this is required to deploy an app to your device for testing. UDK Remote provides a clean, simple way to interface with your UDK Mobile projects with ease, and no noticeable input lag. All you do is log your local IP address and the app pretty much takes care of the rest. Thank you, Epic Games, for continuing to support indie developers so sincerely and consistently. You guys rock!By the way, I have to ask -- Ph0nboy... what's with the sarcastic review? Save it for the forums; this is not the place.
The team from Epic is finally making it stupid simple for anyone to make games. The tool works great. Worked the very first time. One thing I noticed was that I can not run duel scene while trying to run the mobile preview, but that is a simple fix.
With this game Epic has (finally) successfully combined social, fps, gesture, and augmented reality game genres. 10++ for the graphics. The locations have a Tron-like design that just works. Details really come to life on retina display and iPad. Longtime Epic game fans may spot the familiar UDK logo subtly placed in level backgrounds by the games artists. Fonts used in the game seem a bit dated, though they are extremely easy to read even when the gameplay gets intense.5/5 stars for the gameplay. An extremely addictive combination of the mechanics usually present in this genre with mechanics from RTS and rhythm games. In a first for iOS games of this type, touch controls allow you to manipulate up to 5 reticles at once with no visible effect on fps. The menu system should be familiar to any iphone gamer but care has been taken to place important settings on the first level for quick access.Lets hope epic plans to release updates and DLC for this instant classic soon!
This app is fantastic and really speeds up the iteration process. I highly recommend it. One thing to note, in UE4 you must enable the Slate Remote plugin to use this app.
I am installing Udk for the pc! Can't wait to try it
Unreal Remote allows you to quickly and easily test your mobile-focused Unreal Engine 3 or 4 gameplay directly on your development computer! Use this application alongside Unreal Engine to control your game on your development computer using the actual touch and motion controls from your iOS device! Simply give Unreal Remote the name or address of your computer and it will immediately send all multi-touch, tilt and gyro information to the game.
