Doesn’t see the fixtures!
I can only get one fixture out of four to work. It literally doesn’t see any other fixture than ONE. So frustrating. Is there a solution?? I want FOUR lights that I purchased to function. Not one! Please and thank you!
This app is the worst app I have never used.
This App is the worst App I have NEVER used. I say that because every time. Sign in, it crashes. I have never even been able to access it. What a joke! Such a waste. It was part of why I bought the tubes. I want med to be able to use my phone to control them. Looks like that will never happen.
Created without end user in mind
Was so excited for these lights and so disappointed in them because they are only as good as the ability to control them and this app is abysmal! NOT user friendly and the organization within the app makes no sense! Please start over nanlite - run this app through some test groups of real users this time.
Useable but needs improvement.
So, I was having an issue where the app would not recognize any of my T8 7X fixtures, no matter what I tried. In the manual, there’s directions for resetting Bluetooth by pressing all 3 of the main buttons at the same time until the tube flashes blue. After doing that for each light, I was able to connect all 4 without issue and have not had a problem since. If the app is not finding your fixture, and you have the ability to reset Bluetooth, I’d start there. The app is definitely a bit slow and clunky. Hoping they show this some development love as I appreciate the direction and would really enjoy using a more refined version of the app.
Completely dissapointed in this app
The lights don't consistenly connect. They have issues with the control. For expensive as the lights are, there shouldn't be this many issues. I have two T8s, and had two 15cs. I had to return the 15cs because although I purchased the transmitter box, they don't allow for you to control both the HSI & CCT. It's either or. I reached out their customer support and they confirmed right now that is a limitation which was dissapointing and also makes the transmitter box half useless. I also have issues with connecting of the lights, etc. Not happy nor impressed as I am a new nanlite customer.
Waste of money & time
This app is horrible. I have 4 of the new Pavo tubes 30x and the app has failed numerous times on sets. It’s never responsive. I have to close the app and open it hundreds of times in order for the lights to reflect on the app. Even then, it struggles to keep up with the changing of the settings. This app needs so much more work.
Doesn’t Seem to Work with Nanlite Pavotube ii 6c
I managed to download the firmware and connect via Bluetooth with the light (pavotube II 6C. However, after connecting, any settings (color, mode, dim %) I change on my iphone doesn’t change the light. I know it’s connected because when I turn off the light, it indicates that it’s disconnected. And then when I turn it on, it indicates that it's connected. I've tried deleting the fixture and reconnecting, restarting the app, and turning on and off the light so far. I'm writing this primarily as feedback to the developers and would be happy to offer more feedback. Or in the case I'm doing something wrong, please let me know.
Terrible App
This app is terrible. Since Nanlite is a direct competitor to Aputure, I’m surprised they don’t put more time into the NANLINK app to make it better and be comparable to Sidus Link. When reconnecting to PavoTubes after a previous use, the app decides to change modes, color values, and all settings get out of whack. Why can’t the app just leave the color values from the previous use?! How hard is that?
App server was down now it’s running flawlessly
The app is great and very intuitive, I have Nanlite, Nanlux and Ledgo fixtures which all can be controlled by the app using the transmitter box which is great bc I can use my old lights with my new lights with the app! The network outage was a pain, but they let us know in the FB user group and it wasn’t that long. Every brand has issues along way and I like this company, so it’s all good. Anyway, I think this app matches up very well with a lot similar apps from other brands except this one is a little intuitive to use IMHO.
A work in progress
PLEASE for the love of all that is holy, leave the tubes at the values of what they are instead of overriding them with whatever is on the app when you connect. Right now it is impossible to fine tune a light on a set unless you connect beforehand, you will lose your settings and potentially ruin your shot if you try to tweak in the middle of anything. There needs to be a way to gang effects across groups of lights so there can be consistency if what is projected on the tubes. Right now pixel effects are just a smattering of whatever. At the very least give us a way to do multicolor at assignable points (one half one color, one half another, etc)
