Works but costs

I didn’t download this app because I cut the cord or something. I downloaded it to view my movie projects on my fire stick without having to download it to my phone and lose precious phone storage. Except, this app forces you to pay for a lot of basic functions like scrubbing the video. I’ve found that this app will stop at a certain point during playback without fail, forcing you to watch the movie from the beginning which can be time consuming and extremely frustrating. If you want to be able to resume playback you’ll have to pay for the scrubbing function but I suspect as soon as you pay for that, the video won’t suddenly stop more than halfway through your video - making your purchase almost useless. I wouldn’t suggest using this app if you’re going to be watching movies because it will almost always suddenly stop working during the movie and force you to either buy the scrubbing function or start your movie over from the beginning. Unless you want to pay for those things. If you’re just trying to use it for free like me, it’s best to use it for videos 30mins or less.

Works but Very inconsistent

I downloaded earlier in the summer. It worked immediately but almost just as immediately I would find that it’s very glitchy. It works without issue for maybe 60-70% of the time. And then it’ll go a day or two or 3 even without being able to connect no matter how many times I reset my Firestick tv or iPhone. Sometimes the glitch can last a few hours sometimes it’s a few days. That’s what I find extremely irritating. I paid for the app and as much as I love it when it’s working. 60-70% of the time is a very low bar for performance. I don’t understand why this glitch can’t be fixed. I wish they would man up and do something already...it’s last update was nearly 3 months ago. Not cool. It could be and should be so much better but alas it seems like no one cares to address the problem.

So far, it works on the Fire Stick

I’ve downloaded and tried just about every casting app for the Fire Stick. The first question is always, “Does it work?” Most of them don’t. So this app has that going for it. The next issue is, “Will it continue to work?” Both Fire Rocket and iWebTV have stopped working for me on my iPhone 7Plus, though I can still download movies through Fire Rocket. This app is a little more confusing to use, but it works. I’ll wait to see if it stays working before I pay to upgrade it.

Chicken Salad Is Better

This is trash. I’d rather pork chops. I’m a 79 year old woman and I’ve never seen anything like this. I want MeTV, you gave me TrashTV. I wanted Antenna TV, you nitwits gave me hell. I wanted Cozi TV, you gave me an extra ticket to the gutter. Last but not least, I wanted GetTV, you Chain Of Fools gave me D-I-S-R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Now, Who’s Zoomin’ Who, child? On the Freeway To Hell. You purposely described this trifling, nasty, disgusting app as a free app, and then when I stick my tonsils in it, you tell me to pay $100.9 for it! I’m not paying for this wacko, foolish buffoonery. Holy chitlins! I prefer chicken salad. That’s what my grand babies, Peppa and Raymond, love. Yestiddy, I made some chicken salad at 11:10 and it was gone before lunch. Actually, chicken salad-I mean I have to go. But I just wanted to clear that up. If you could stop charging me money and add MeTV, GetTV, Antenna TV, and Cozi TV, then I’d give ya five stars. End of discussion. Stop trying to scam and rob the elderly. Point blank, periot.

Great app

I’ve been using this app for a few years, it’s the best of its kind that I’ve come across.The reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because sometimes I’ll have trouble connecting and I’ll have to restart my fire stick and phone, and even then it sometimes won’t remedy the problem (this doesn’t happen terribly often).Also, lately when I’ve been pausing my video the screen will go black, then when I unpause it the aspect ratio is completely distorted, which is super annoying because I’ll have to restart the whole video and fast forward back to where I was.Also, if you’re watching something with subtitles and they’re not embedded in the video you won’t be able to use them.But unless you’re pausing a bunch of foreign films this shouldn’t be too much of an issue, it’s definitely worth the download. I’ve been consistently using it for like 3 or 4 years.

Not working now!

I’ve been using this app for a while, and once you get the hang of it (and learn a few tricks) it’s pretty fantastic... I have both a Fire Stick and Chromecast, and this allows me to stream through each with relative ease.But I took away 2 stars for this review because it’s suddenly not working! I copy and paste the url into their browser, as I’ve always done - but when I hit “go” the address bar disappears, and it just stays on the homepage. I sent an error report to customer service, and so far I’ve only gotten an auto-reply saying “we might not respond but will note your issues” or something like that. Hopefully this is resolved soon, so I don’t have to find a new app for casting. Bummer. :-(

Great app when it works.

This is the second version of this app I have tried. The one for the chrome cast works flawlessly and I cannot recommend highly enough. I've only had the fire TV stick and this app for a little over a month and it's spotty at best. The first issue I had with it wasn't even performance related but rather that you had to pay extra for the video progress bar. That was free with the chrome version and without it all you have is play and pause control. Now to the performance issues. It doesn't connect about 50% of the time, even after restarting the app on my phone and the fire stick or restarting the fire stick all together. I've only had this issue once or twice in over 3 years of use with the Chromecast. I don't know if this is a hardware issue in that the Chromecast is a better product with better comparability for third party app integration or what. Very disappointed with the Fire stick version.

Paid Upgrade Version Still No Sound?

I bought the upgraded version with the Control Bar etc..months ago with the understanding that you the developer was going to fix the “No Sound” issue? It’s been several months and I still cannot hear any audio on any video I play which renders this app useless? I am playing back videos that require sound to understand what’s going on? Also some videos are of my children playing in concerts. So...when will this fix be in place? If I had known it would take this long I would never have spent $6.99 on the deluxe version of this app, again it’s useless!

Was charged for premium features but never got access to them.

I downloaded this app and the features worked well, I decided to upgrade to the premium version, after making the purchase, I got my receipt from the App Store yet nothing has changed on the app, I still can’t access the premium features although I bought them, I contacted customer support and followed the instructions but still couldn’t restore my purchase. I then sent an email to the developer stating my problem but I haven’t gotten a reply. I’m giving this 2 stars, the features are great, but I didn’t get the premium features after purchasing it.

I hate this garbage limited app.

I hate this garbage, I am used to being able to cast from my phone with a simple browser add-on, for Roku or Chromecast but for fire tv this app is bad, annoying and useless. I logged in to a site to access my membership videos but since it opened a pop up window to enter my user name and password it replaced the main window instead of opening a second tab. So once I was done with the pop up I couldn’t do anything other than go to the main page again which asked me to log in. Figure out how to make money from the app without making it so limited if it was free it would be easier to use. I hate this poorly made garbage it reflects your limited imagination and knowledge.
