Watch out

While the game can be fun to play, it seems to have a certain amount of bugs and be careful about spending. I had a friend magically have $1700 stolen out of his account shortly after buying something for this game! He wasn’t able to use it because of a bug and when he contacted the GM, there were all these charges to his account. 2nd, you can’t delete the your account! If you ‘bind’ your account, they have your Facebook info and Facebook book is big on selling your info. But in general, there is no way for you to just delete and you should be able to. I even looked it up and still no info. This seems to be a trend with games now, why these games are so bent on hanging on your info is obvious. 3rd, it’s pay to win. Don’t spend a lot of money on thing that doesn’t exist or brings you benefits in RL. I can see $.99 here $4.99 there once in a while. But there are people who spend $100s if not $1000s. Why? It’s a ‘rinse and repeat’ type of game. And you know the developers are like - sucker! ; 3And to the developers- why should I send a screenshot of any type of feature? You should know your own game. Please respect people’s privacy and rights and create a way for them to leave, you’re just trapping them and their info.

It is pay to win...but fun

I've played war strategy games for two decades now. They are all pay to win...don't kid yourself or complain about it. It's how they make money. If we didn't have to pay the games would be lame. My only wish is that there would be more skill required to win. All you have to do is out spend the other guys and you'll beat them. No skill required. With that said TWD is a good game. Graphics could be better but the lower quality creates a faster game experience. I play State of Survival which is basically the same story line based on the TV show. It has better graphics but is slower to play. I prefer faster game play. Again do not download the game and expect it to be FTW....you can play for free but you will be left behind quickly. If you simply want to chat and watch it's fine. I recommend the game and have enjoyed it...but I put some money into it. So if you're one of those still on a quest to find a true free to win war strategy game keep looking. This isn't it. However if you understand that those FTW games don't exist and love war strategy games...try this one out. It's worth it.

Read the negative reviews. Don’t do it.

I’ve played for about 6 months and paid about $200 into the game. Read the negative reviews and don’t get sucked into this game. It has a lot going for it. It’s fun to meet people from around the world and create cooperative groups to move forward. However, the negatives outweigh the positives. It is absolutely pay to win. Realize there are some people out there who will waste tens of thousands of dollars on this game to bully everyone around. When a few of these people join together, the game is over for everyone else. One of these top spenders can take out an entire clan of a hundred people. After this, you either live under a shield with limited activity, or you sit on the season 1 map and farm vegetables, which is absolutely boring. In the last season they allowed several clans in a server to join into mega-clans. Inevitably, one of these servers will create a mega clan that is stronger than all of the servers on the map put together. At this point there is zero competition because no one else stands a chance. The game is essentially over unless you want to spend thousands of dollars. Simply put, this is a game for people with no skills and a lot of money to waste so they can bully others around. Don’t do it, there are lots of good games out there.

Turning into pay to win money grab

I played up to town hall level 17 in one region without spending any money. I thought the pacing was really good and I was competitive despite the fact some people had a slight advantage by paying for things. I decided to use what I learned from my first play through and start a new game in a freshly made region. I was even contemplating buying something to help the developer as I had been really enjoying the game. That was until I realized they moved the 3rd building queue you get from a fairly low level (I can’t remember what it was but it was probably around level 10) all the way to level 22. They are trying to get you to pay for one of the many different ways they offer more building queues for money. I still think it is a decent game but I am really disappointed to see the direction the developer is going. They are trying to force the pay to win aspect when I was more than willing to throw some cash at them before they started to show their true colors.

Consider Another Game

I’ve played this game for a year and a half now. At one point it held promise and there were a multitude of reasons to invest. So Invest I did, to the tune of several thousand dollars. The Developers and the Customer Service team worked diligently to improve the game and foster community. Sadly that has changed and every new update reveals the game to be more and more of a money grab. As for fostering community? At the End of Season 5 several servers have been forced to merge together. One server joining ours has about 75 active players. The other server? A handful of players who have spent an insane amount of money and seem determined to “put everyone in their place”. Pay to win at it’s finest.Unless you have an exotic sports car or a great deal of equity in a house that you want to transfer into a mobile game, I highly recommend avoiding this game. Seriously, one of the events requires you to spend $3000 in a week to get one of the special vehicles. To level some of the heroes up you will need to invest thousands of dollars… in one instance,You’ll need to invest $10,000. I wish I were exaggerating.

Not worth it

I’ve played the game for several days now. It all went so well and I was really super impressed….UNTIL you get to level 12 then you have to pay for missing items you can’t get when you hit camps to upgrade buildings. I looked at the price to upgrade twice and it’s to expensive. Even the shields are expensive. I’m just waiting for some event to happen that allows players to attack me and kill the troops I made 🤣🤣. I’m in a top 1 alliance and I’m sure they will help me, but I doubt I will be going level 13 anytime soon due to missing items you can’t even buy in the alliance store or anywhere else unless you pay for them, which I’m not going to do. I can already tell that will probably be the case from level 12 and up that in order for me to grow I have to spend. Also from reading all the reviews from more than a year ago it doesn’t seem like they will be making any changes to non spenders being able to enjoy the game like spenders do. It seems like they have to many spenders to even think about non spenders so they will remain greedy and keep the game the same way to make money.

Money trap

Well I liked the game. I dropped $200 cash on the game got hooked. Just over 4 million power things started slowing down so I decided to play 2 at once. Started a new one in another area again dropped about $50 to start. Well that was a huge mistake. I couldn’t collect my gifts after the new update. I mean all the gifts from like save Rick, survivors, and more. So I sent a ticket with screen shots. Said in the description I cleaned catch as well as uninstalled and reinstalled the game. These fools of course sent a message back telling me to do just that. Saying it is most likely my phone issue or internet connection. Seriously!!! Said do all that and if it doesn’t work message back and they will go from there. Ok!! So do you guys even read or do you generate the same message to everyone. Well because of your insolence I lost several chances to collect gifts. As well as a sweet glitch of my shield supposed to have 12 hours left and suddenly dropped and I lost millions of resources and troops. Thank you very much for taking my money and not even trying to fix your glitches. I know how to keep your game running BLAME the players!!

Pay to play

This is a pay to play game. Not a bad game, but you need to buy in order to keep up. That’s not so bad, but when you buy, then dont get what you bought, but get an error message instead, that tells you to contact support, then wait for hours before getting a response, which in the meantime you use other resources, which you paid for in the long run anyway, and then get what you did pay for, because it was obviously paid for, then the rep asks if you think you should be compensated, and you thank them and tell them you’d appreciate that, and they come back and tell you, “nope, that’s a network issue, no compensation”That, after buying things for several days running. You would think they would want to keep paying customers happy, but apparently they make more then they need. I didn’t mind spending a little bit, but since I see their greed, probably spent my last in it. Plenty of other gamesP.S.After telling the rep that I would go do a review, I was filling out the review as to the performance of the customer service, and in the middle of filling it out, the game, for the first time ever, suddenly shuts down and the review can’t be brought back up.

Trash

Was booted out of a clan for no reason and can’t join another for 12 hours. This game is expensive and I’m a diligent player actively playing constantly. This game is trash and is not fun anymore. Do yourself a favor and skip this game. Don’t skip it because I’m mad but because I’m a honest reviewer. These almost 5 star reviews are fake. This game is superrrrr expensive and they make it so you have to pay to play and it’s a bit wild for the cost just to do simple things. Upgrading players and builders doesn’t help it just makes it harder and when you upgrade and think your getting stronger they add several hours or days in between to be able to play unless you “buy” things needed to speed up the time or certain goods and it’s usually both. Once you spent an absurd amount of money then you can upgrade or complete but then you gotta spend more to do it all over again. Ten dollars for resources that sometimes don’t even help just to increase somthing so minimal is crazy. 99$ gets you jack crap to or like if you want a player you gotta spend 20$ from the elite shop lol but it can only reach level thirty and then you gotta buy “fragments” and you need a ton of them to upgrade so in reality it’s like several hundred. It’s a greedy and sneaky way to profit and I can’t lie they are doing it and can’t be mad at the hustle but as a consumer that’s not good business. Won’t be lasting long either.

Pay to win, don’t waste your time.

The game’s art style is pretty lame, I’ve seen browser games with better art direction and style. Over all, the gameplay is pretty much what you’d expect from a clash of clans-esque game. You build your town hall, you upgrade buildings and you train your troops. Rinse, and repeat, it gets really boring and pointless after about a month. The in game events are as boring as it’s art style is, they lack creativity and diversity. The rewards usually force you into spending other precious resources, and they are leaderboard driven, so anyone willing to dish out real life money will be the ones to take the gem rewards. You could save a month’s worth of speed ups, but it is so dissatisfying once it is all said and done. The pvp is the worst part of this game, IT IS PAY TO WIN. You can pay to skip town hall levels, you can pay to upgrade your equipment, and you can obviously pay to roll the loot boxes. You can pretty much imagine the state of the game, it’s very one sided, and not even worth your time. I played for two months and checked out a couple of regions just to give my review, unless the devs fix the pay to win, which they won’t, I recommend you save your time/money and take it elsewhere.
