Great game but very P2W

I have played Magic Rush for 2 years. This is a great game, but it is very heavily pay to win. The gameplay itself is top notch. It’s a very deep game with many different ways to build a team and a lot of features for dedicated late game players. Unfortunately you can take all the time to learn the ins and outs of this game and it doesn’t really matter if there are people on your server who are spending a lot of money. Chinese players always seem to be the strongest after server mergers. It’s a great game but if you are not spending money it can be very frustrating. Some rich player can simply spend money and become untouchable, single handedly being the difference in winning all the major in-game events.The developers update the game weekly and tweak balancing issues regularly. I just wish they would address how heavily unbalanced money makes the game.

Too much p2w

Giving this game a 4/5 just cause of the creativity and mechanics of the game. Played this game for over 3 years and made a lot of fiends which added to the map war experience. Our guild was known through other realms as whale killers. Despite having an extreme difference in team power, we made up with strategy. But it got to the point we’re it started to be necessary to spend just to “keep up” with the enemy. What I loved about this game was the constant balancing of heroes for pvp. It added that element of finding that team comp that worked best with what you were building. Now the down side is the constant new release of OP hero that you must put big $ into the event to get decent turn out. Just to have a hero come out next week that almost 100% counters the previous one. Then the addition of more elements to pay for you to boost your power added more to the level of p2w. It saddened me to have to quit just cause there was no use to be playing at that level on a mobile game. I tried to come back and play again a year later but, it was too far to gone and too much to be playing catch up.

You don’t have to Pay to Play!

My guild is 5th on my server and we have plenty of non paying players VIP 0 that have been playing for 3+ years! People give Magic Rush a hard time.... yes the purchasing is outrageous and legendaries are wayyy too expensive ... I spent 200$ for a legendary :/....Beyond that, this great mashup game takes you on a lengthy time ride whether you spend $ or not. As long as you log in everyday, save gems and don’t mind playing for years, with a nice team setup, you can make it close to the top with VIP 0 No money$$ Take it for what it is, an entertaining way to kill time.

Very pay to win

I agree with lots of the reviews given. It is an amazing game but even if you spend a lot, there are people who will spend more to be on top. Plan on either a game you will leave quickly as you become vastly overpowered or commit to spending thousands constantly. I’m not joking! Our newest merger has a game developer in it and she even took one of the strongest accounts just because she could. You can bet she pays a very small percentage of what everyone else does to be on top and bully people. I still play for now, but will never start a new server since I know how they will all end up.

Not even pretending anymore

I know a lot of these games are designed around pay to win, it’s how they make the money that’s cool. This game has taken it to a new level and does nothing to combat the huge gap between pay to play and not. On my server there seems to be tons of players who based on leader boards and event winners, spend hundreds of dollars a month on it. They are capable of defeating whole 65 person alliances BY THEM SELVES and their is nothing to be done but get raped until they lose interest. The VIP system is nothing new..but now they introduced a system that gives you boost and you can ONLY access at max tier?? Really..was a fun game but I’m not willing to spend hundreds a week and being constantly on fire and chased around the map being burned for days at a time is no fun.

Notifications do not work on latest update

I have been playing MR for over 6 years and have been hooked. The latest update has stopped all notifications from working. I am on iOS and have my settings turned on but only get restock notifications now. Nothing about rallies, attacks, etc. such that it has dropped the entertainment below the subterranean garage level. Yes, the game is pay to win and always tilted always in favor of players in China. They get better deals (freebies/giveaways/discounts) that none of the rest of us get…folks in US, Canada, Singapore, Japan, Russia, Ukraine, New Zealand, etc. The developers foster it and are well aware of the unfair advantage. If you are okay with this, it is a good game and you can make some nice friends.

Not Worth It

I played this app years ago but left due to how much bullying and cheating occurred in the player vs player side of the content. I enjoyed the campaigns but the app is intensely money grab so you had to spend a lot of real money to even have a chance to really make progress in this app. The bullying on the servers got to be too much, and the alliances I were in had a lot of bullying too so I left. If it were campaign heavy only and less of the pvp stuff I’d recommend it but since the pvp side of it is so toxic and it’s too much money to even have fun it’s definitely not worth the energy to play. The customer service and support teams felt condescending and rude when I tried to report player issues, so not worth it for that either. Avoid it!

No, just no

This game is old and out-dated now, not too much has changed and its very expensive to get anything half decent out of the game. If you don’t have a tree in tour garden that grows money then i would stay far far away, there are better options out there that are more f2p friendly and less focused on greed. Also customer service is a joke you will never ever ever get anything resolved, if you make any sort of mistake they can’t help you. The only reason they are there is to reject anything and everything you can throw at them, it would be better if there was no service at all because its a complete waste of time trying to get anything across to them plus they don’t understand english very well, they have to use google translate. Literally non-existent help not joking either if i would give minus one million stars i would, they just leave you more angry and puzzled, and this is after opening several tickets over the past 8 years. Completely and utterly useless and truly pointless. You have to learn from your mistakes the hard way and is especially fun when you invest hundreds and thousands. Stay far far far away

Giving 5 stars once fixed but I play everyday

I get randomly kicked off my game because it says “my account is being logged in somewhere else” and it never is. This happens pretty often and no one ever tampers with my game so I know no one is hacking into it, also In the dungeon I’ll go to revive a player that died and I randomly revive a hero that never died and it’s definitely a glitch. Please fix these things I love this game and these two things are the only things that tick me off about playing it. Fantastic game I’ve been loyal from the begging and haven’t missed a login I’m at 168. Last things I’ll add is higher medal rewards and badges on your profile for being logged in longer than 30 day. You should have a loyalty reward system for logging on a full year. Thanks for making a great game though It’s a blast!

Pay to win bullying

you can never keep up if you refuse to spend a large amount in this game. the constant bullying of the major powerhouse of alliances packed with big spenders left you no choice but to 1) spend to compete 2) watch your castle burn daily 3) simple delete the game since you can’t transfer server. the amount of toxicity is beyond any other games out there, i’m in a server where the biggest alliance will start a war with anyone simply because they don’t like what we said, even if it was to defend ourselves or ask them to keep peace. stay away from this game unless you want to look at it 247 and hoping your city is no on fire.
