Feels Outdated

The app works fine and there’s no major glitches or anything that prohibit any vital functionality. However, the app just generally has a sort of “outdated” feel to it; it really doesn’t offer much better functionality than the mobile web browser version does, which is typically the main point of retailer apps like this. For example, I don’t stay signed in on the sweetwater app, which is one of the basic functions you expect from the app version of the website. And there’s just overall a bunch of minor, yet very annoying bugs and the General feel of the app just needs to be smoothed out.

Sweetwater is absolutely amazing but app needs work!

I love everything about Sweetwater especially the customer service. They are a wonderful company and blow Guitar Center/Musicians Friend(same company), and Music 123 out of the water with prices and customer service. It doesn’t matter if you order a $30 item of a $3,000 item. They will call to make sure everything is ok. They will even give you pointers and guide you through setting things up. Great company for sure. But the app needs a major revamp for sure. So glitchy! I can’t even get the “my account” page to load at all anymore. I have restarted the app and downloaded the last update. It will never load. I just get the “forbidden” error. I have to use the browser to get to my account. It’s really unfortunate because I want to use the app.

MUST BUY FROM HERE

1. I have bough 2 products from this company and 1st was a guitar and 2nd was a guitar pedal (which isn’t here yet) the guitar came in perfect condition and their service was so incredible. They gave us all the updates and informed us on everything and it wasn’t a robot. A few months later I got a text checking in on me and how I like my guitar. 2. I just bought a guitar wah pedal from sweetwater today and I already know it was a great purchase. I spend 95% of my day looking for a vox wah pedal and all the places I looked didn’t have any, or weren’t in my price range. I checked sweetwater to see if they had it, and it was on sale and all the reviews were good. I love sweetwater so much, I highly recommend!

The iPhone/iPad App could be great, but it’s not

This company is one of the best in terms of service and deals. I love sweetwater and make a point to visit them when I’m in Fortwayne, IN. They have the best people, deals, location, website, etc. But this app is so lack luster, I use my iPad as my daily driver now. I only us my PC for “heavy lifting”. The ipad app doesn’t support landscape view. If often has issues where it hiccups and I have to restart the app. I’ve noticed they are working on it. But if you want my advise (Honestly I’m just another Joe, trying to make it this crazy world)… but if you want my advise, just use the website on an ipad/iPhone. It’s such a better experience.Again, I love sweetwater, their mobile app developers are sus. 😉

Not bad... but

Overall I think Sweetwater is a great company and all of their representatives are a breath of fresh air to deal with. The app is great and seams like an app version of the website. There are only 2 issues that bother me. At times it seem to take a while to load pages. That may be a service or WiFi issue on my end that conveniently only happens when I use the Sweetwater app. The other issue (this one is super annoying) is when I watch any of the video demos, the home page reloads at the end instead of the product page. So then I have to find the item again. If you guys could fix that, that would be great.

The Best For Music Gear

Sweetwater is the absolute best. I have tried other websites/apps and this one is so easy and fast. I ordered many small items and they all came on the estimated day with some free gifts (Sweetwater stickers, small bag of mints, more info about items) The day after I ordered I got a call to confirm that it was sent and that I ordered the right things. I got a call from a costumer service representative. He was extremely nice and helpful and gave me his personal extension in case I had any questions. Like I said everything arrived on time and it was all in one package, other websites send everything separately and it can be very frustrating. It was the exact order with great quality. I highly recommend this app to anyone who is looking for music gear! Thank you Sweetwater!!!

Occasional Bugs

As noted previously, there's that constant prompting to log in. I think that might just be more of a security thing, but it could very well just be a bug. The other issue I've noticed is that hitting the Back button or closing out of a product video will return you to the Home page instead of where you left off. That gets frustrating because you have to continually re-navigate to where you were. There's also the cart scrolling issue. It's probably best to just use the website. It seems they haven't updated this in quite some time.

LOVE IT, but way glitchy!

Love the company, the customer service is rivaled only by NORDSTROM, as far as taking care of the customer! But my gripe is with the app functionality… the app falls wayyyy short. Doesn’t load half the time. I end up going to the web page more often than not. Deals tabs deliver blank screens. At one point told me “server error” so I deleted and re-loaded the app and it solved the problem for a few days. Again, my problem is only with the app. Web page works fine on a consistent basis, no doubt! You would imagine the company has some data scientists and engineers that would have caught this and dealt a solution of fix. Which makes navigating investment into gear very cumbersome and tedious considering I have to open the app wondering if it’s gonna work expeditiously and more often than not, pull up a browser instead. Fix it please.

Great company. Terrible app

I’m rating the app only here…Like many others have and will say, Sweetwater as a company is top notch for musicians. The app is their problem and the only real problem is how laggy it is. It truly does make the experience as if you were using it on an iPhone 4 or something similar. It’s just so unresponsive. Most times I’ll just search on the actual site or other competitor apps like GC or MF for a better experience but I will always only buy from Sweetwater. Still leaves a bad taste in my mouth knowing how great the company is yet they have this massive let down of an app which, let’s face it, is how most people buy stuff now… on apps. Now I know I’m just some random guy ranting but highly suggest that the Sweetwater team fix the issue ASAP. A giant can fall quickly especially if they’re not maintaining a crucial tool in their sales.

Awful would be an understatement!!!

Let Me start out by saying Sweetwater has great Prices and great Gear. The problem is not the Merchandise but the fact that the Customer Service Agents are Useless and liars. I had 2 People aka Reps tell Me My Order was modified before it shipped out and My order total would be adjusted. That however is not true because the Items I ordered by mistake for a Friend were not removed from the Package before shipping out and so therefore the order total was not adjusted. My Friend mistakenly gave Me an outdated list of Drum gear and not the updated one and the 2nd after I placed the order I had realized My Friend already had 3 of the Items I had ordered. I tried reaching out by phone and Email etc and got no help just a bunch of useless incompetent waste of my time Reps that just lie to You about modifying a dang order. I will never order from that awful Company again. My Sister and I both share an apple Account so this is Michelle leaving the reviews. SMDH
