For the Vampire Survivors Fans
I never write reviews for apps, but I’ve been really enjoying this one so I thought I’d give my 2 cents. This games fantastic. For a mobile game it has a surprising layer of depth I wasn’t expecting. There are tons of items all of which do different things, the spells all feel fun and worth taking, and the overall game play and art style is really fun and interesting. Like I said in the title, it’s very similar to Vampire Survivors on PC, but that’s not a bad thing. If you like that game, this is a great free alternative to play when you’re not at your computer. There are ads, which can be removed via microtransactions, but they’re always optional which I do appreciate. One thing I would like to see added is an animation of some sort when you take damage. Even just a little red flash would be great, it’s just kind of annoying only being able to tell if you’re hurt by the small changes in your health bar. That being said, it’s just a small quality of life thing. 10/10 game!
Super fun game but could use a few tweaks
I think this game is super cool and a great way to kill time but it could use some fine tuning like better skill descriptions and a way for the game to save your level if you pause or accidentally exit. Like i would rather start the wave over than scrap an entire run because the game crashed from being on the pause screen too long. I think one of my biggest issues is that when I fight heirtaker, like 9/10 when i drain his armor it just regenerates instead of blowing up like its supposed to. Idk if I’m doing something wrong, I’m not hitting him with ice attacks or anything but it just makes this boss feel like I’m fighting Sen. Armstrong😓
Great game
This game is really great, and it’s frequent updates make it even better. Its still a big work in progress, but its still very fun. Some things that I think still need work though:1. The sound design, there’s not much variety and only pressing buttons has a sound, there should be sounds for spells as well2. Some spelling errors in the game3. Possibly some special abilities of certain equipment, instead of just stat changes4. A bit more work on refining the potion idea, only making one per day w/o ads kind of defeats the purpose (possibly make a longer wait time with an ad speed up)5. Possibly make the spells into buttons (so that they don’t just appear immediately once the cool down finishes)6. Maybe make the maps more interactive, with obstacles and such7. Make the levels playable past max level so that the player ranking system has a purpose8. MORE ADS ON OTHER APPS! The player base is relatively small at this point, and sponsorship on social media would DEFINITELY help, maybe even make rewards for players sharing it with friends (coop would be good too)Otherwise, the artwork, ui, gameplay and constant updates are great, a real breath of fresh air compared to the quantity-over-quality games that other companies create
Glitch with the Last bosses
The game is a fun, no hurt your brain, one finger game. I notice there a glitch in the last boss in each level they disappear. This only happens when you are at the last boss and you put it on pause and step away. When you return an hour late the boss as well as the mob are gone. You can run around the level freely. You have to cancel to exit out of the level. I notice this only happens with bosses, not mob fights. A great thing about the game is being able to play it with one hand. The mechanics are easy to understand. There are some possible upgrades I hope in the future they can do. Like characters actually change with the gear equipped. A blink or indicator that you are taking damage. In all it’s a great game to lose to without having to solve puzzles or find 5 of the same items. Yes there are ads. Ads to select a power or items. But I understand developer/creators need to make money. I hope it continues to grow.
The games great but there’s a problem with closing the game ads
This game is a lot of fun and is great to play. It had lots of cool spells and magic to use. And I love unlocking new armor and other things. But the advertisements for games are extremely annoying because of the fact when you try to close out of itIt’s really hard to press on the skip button and you’ll end up tapping the game instead over and over until you finally are able to click on the X button. Not only that but sometimes when you click on an ad it doesn’t even show the game it just goes to a gray screen that will not let you go back into the game or click out of it at all so you have to restart the game causing me to lose all of my progress… this is an extremely annoying bike and this happened to me three times in a row and that is why I am writing this review..
Fun but needs fine tuning
To start off it’s a great game overall. Started playing a couple weeks ago. Was fun except for a few crashes here and there when the game seemed to lag. The newest update limits how many rounds you can go so that might help with the game crashing but they still have the rankings up and that erks me with no way of rising any further since I have now completed all the missions while top ranked people had unlimited wave. Some things that I’ve noticed that should be fixed:The yellow armor bonus stats/ skills don’t all activate. I have almost all yellow armor at this point and they all have a skill that says “starting lvl of a skill +1” so we should have all those skills when starting a game. But the only one that activates is the lightning zone which I have +4 in but it only starts at lvl 2. While I have incinerate and satalite at starting level +1 but for some reason the game doesn’t count those bonuses and I do not start with those skills.Not sure what the difference between magic attack and regular attack damage is on items. Maybe some tool tips would clarify.Still crashes on occasion either at the end of the stage when it shows you the completion screen or right after an ad.Maybe have a way to destroy/ sell old armor (I have white armor that I only have 1 of and don’t want to go play on an easier difficulty just to blacksmith it) that way it’s not cluttering up my inventory. Bring back an endless mode option!
Fun but
This game is super fun and would be a 5 star rating but I’m just not sure why some of the boss monsters are the way they are.. like the frost giant dude just outruns you unless you get lucky rng and he drops ice in a path he can freeze in until he stops sprinting.. I just don’t understand why there are so many boss monsters that move at 10x your speed. I just lost a run to the shield guy who makes a circle of death after you destroy his shield so large that you can’t escape it before it detonates.. like why would you do that? It’s guaranteed to hit not matter what! I get every movement speed increase I see but it doesn’t matter because the circle goes off before I can get out of it. Also he increases speed after every time you destroy his shield so after a few times of that he literally just moved at 2x or 3x my speed and stood over me until I lost.. that’s ridiculous.. can you not balance the boss monsters to where they’re still challenging but not impossible? I literally die to the frost dude and the shield guy every single time I fight them..
Great game no ad farming
I’ve been playing super wizard for awhile now. It struck me as a game with great mechanics from the beginning. It has only improved with its updates. The most recent one has been great it’s clear that the developers are playing other games like this and including a those ideas and expanding on them to make a better game. The added bonus is you don’t need to watch ad after ad like so many other mobile games. Almost all the ads are a choice if you want a little help in the game. I played through almost all the levels whilst using no ads and it was definitely doable. In short I highly recommend this game.
Shallow but enjoyable
The game is actually fun albeit shallow and requiring zero skill or challenge. The campaign is decent and the difficulty scales well but it gets pretty repetitive pretty quickly. And there isn’t much incentive to keep playing. The endless mode is broken. By level 100, you can easily move the slightest bit to avoid projectiles and by lvl 125, you can literally stand still for hours until you get bored or have to close you phone - at which point the app closes and you lose your progress. Your items are still there when you log back in but to use the blacksmith with purple items, you need hundreds of materials which you get very very slowly. Ok game though for a few hours of your time
Love this game!
I would rate this 5 stars but I have a few problems with the game, one is whenever I go back into the game to collect offline earnings I don’t get any of the items it says I’ve earned but I do get the coins and xp another thing is that sometimes the daily reward doesn’t work and I don’t get a prize that day. The last thing I have to say is that around the 5th level/world it starts to feel impossible even with the best character and good armor so I’ve been grinding on endless so that I can get better things to get pass this world. But other than those three things I LOVE this game and highly recommend it for anyone that enjoys games that require skill and have a lot to explore!!
