User Reviews for Idle Slayer

5th time writing this.

Let me sum it up.The gameplay is really easy to learn in a good way, and even if you aren’t online, you still get a decent amount of money. The game is really good, better then you’d expect for an idle. I’d choose this over AFK arena (haven’t tried, never will) any day.A lot of people are saying you need to login, but you don’t. I never was forced to login, though I am aware save corruption can happen because I never did login. Everyone who is saying you are forced to login in *cough* 1 star reviewers *cough* then you need to change your review. It makes me mad some people give a bad review just because of something that isn’t true, I bet most other people know this and can agree with me too.Anyways, summing summed up, it’s a good game, you aren’t forced to log in, I suggest you get if you haven’t already.- guy on the App Store

Bonus Portals

i’ve been playing for a little over a year now and trust me when i say the games perfect. i love the way your coins add up even after a few weeks of not playing. it’s top notch. the only problem i have with the game is that the bonus portal level is a bit repetitive and i find myself avoiding the boxes and even jumping over the portals themselves. maybe if you added some variety to the bonus stages it would help. anything really. i only have this concern because i recently prestiged where your entire ascend ability map gets cleared and so do your quests and i’ve come to realize that the perk where the bonus stages have filled in parts was also reset with the prestige. it made those stages so unbearable once again since i find myself falling a bunch through the 3rd wave. never knew how good i had it with the holes filled in. just felt like that could be shared, other than that the game is a lot of fun and perfect for people who don’t want to dedicate a bunch of time every day to the game. currently the only game i have on my phone and i’m still loving it.

Honestly the best idle game

I’ve had this game installed since day one of getting a new phone (gotta have a couple games right?). Many games don’t survive more than a week on my phone because I’m a pretty picky guy, but this game is so simple yet complex in the absolute best way. It’s easy to get into and it’s easy to maintain but then it has a skill tree and new abilities to unlock even in late game. I work more than I should and whenever I get a chance to actually use my phone I always flock to it to unlock a few upgrades and further my progress. A lot of other idle games will have an ad behind every click, but I find myself actually wanting to watch an ad only once to double my earnings //because// this game doesn’t drown you in them. I know that watching one will give the devs a little boost and I’m okay with that. I enjoy knowing that I’m supporting a game that I have fun playing. 5/5, will be the first game I install on every new phone I get in the future.

Best idle and mobile game I’ve ever played

The gameplay is simple and complex, there’s so many layers to it. In fact this is the only game I’ve ever written a review for it’s that good! And Pablo keeps updating the game with new content almost every other week keeping the game fresh. I think it’d be cool if there was a ua upgrade that unlocks a kind of cosmetic customizer in the bag so you can use excess materials and you could change the boost trail and color as well as the arrows. But I know absolutely nothing about coding so I don’t know how hard that’d be. There is one thing I’m not to fond of however and that’s doing the same quests in dimensions that don’t reap much rewards. Maybe there could be some kind of ua upgrade early in the tree ,that for every ua point you have it decreases the amount of kills needed in non daily quests by like .5 or 2%. Either way I love the game, keep it up!

Nearly Perfect Idle Game

Two big things are missing: critical hits and boss fights. Extra souls and coins for landing well times hits on big enemies would add a LOT to the fun and skill factor of the game. I am thinking 3x coin value per enemy kill if it is near perfect and 5x coin value for perfect timing. As far as boss fights go, I think the boss should be the stage itself. For example, phase one could be running along their arm towards their head with a goal to collect X amount of coins, X amount of souls, X amount of enemies, or some combination of the sort. Once the goal is completed, a cutscene could play that shows the Idle Slayer in action and then phase 2 begins on their shoulder/neck area perhaps. Just an example, but I seriously think with those two additions you would have a game that could also do incredibly well on PC and console. Anyways, in the current state it is in I would give it an 8/10. With those two additions done right, it would become a 10/10 I think. Thanks for reading, have a good day!

Rewards keep disappearing

I have had it happen several times now where right when I get all of the multipliers and the very largest rewards that I’ve ever gotten, the gains simply disappear I have spent probably a couple hundred dollars on this game, and 563 days of my life playing. Just now I got 217 uv on a chest hunt after I got a 12k equipment bonus, went to the village, and used jewels that I BOUGHT, got a coin value bonus, and used my daily bonus. This is about 40 of my lifetime coins. After the chest hunt the bonus was gone. Just. Gone. This sort of thing has happened before. To the point where whenever I get a large bonus or set of multipliers I’m like paranoid about losing it. THIS IS THE ENTIRE REASON IVE SPENT SO MUCH TIME PLAYING. WAITING FOR THIS TYPE OF REWARD. To say that the fact that I’ve waited 563 days for such a large bonus, spent money, and then just lost it- again - is disappointing would be a massive understatement. For the first time I’m genuinely considering just being done with this game. It’s worse than pointless to play when the very thing you’ve been waiting for is just taken. I’m furious.

I’m in love with this game 🤩🎉

I’ve been playing this game for over a year, and I believe I’ve written a review for this game before, but it would have been a long while ago so I want to update my thoughts. I’ve always been a big fan of clicker tycoon games where you just have to rise in rank by collecting even more money, so when I found a game that had this element and a RPG style story to it I knew I found the jackpot. The upgrades, the biomes, the neat designs, and even just the overall creativity for the game was really refreshing. Now that’s good and all, but there is one key point that the devs have nailed, continually updating the game over time. It’s never that boring when around a couple weeks there is new stuff to look at. Now I haven’t gotten into the story too far yet as I need to buy an item that cost an arm and a leg in coins, but when I do, I know I will find the intriguing lore waiting for me. Now it can be a little slow paced at times, but that just gives me motivation at like 3:00 AM to get further. Thank you Pablo Leban for the awesome game.

Still good but.... (post spirit boost update

The paragraph after this still applies and I'll remove this once what I'm about to say gets fixed. All I have to say is why did you have to go and add spirit boost and make it a material and have achievements my dude, it makes the bonus stage way too difficult and materials don't drop enough to justify it giving a material, please fix or get rid of it altogether please. In the modern day gaming scene on phones it's very uncommon that you have a game like this. Most games are chock full of ads with as little effort as possible to just get you to download and play mindlessly. This game is different, there are ads yes but they are never forced on you and the amount of content you have access to for free with this game is rather ridiculous. The art is beautiful, the music is amazing, the gameplay will either be for you or it won't, but I've been playing this game for almost a year and I can say I won't be stopping anytime soon as more and more good updates come.

Mixed feelings.

This brings a lot of new ideas to the idle genre of games, and most of those ideas are really well executed. However, the pace of gameplay changes drastically, too fast arguably, from a steady growth where idling is worth it, to a slow and active grind within a day or two. Perhaps I hit a barrier and I’ll break through, but progressing from here is not looking promising.Progression is very rng dependent, souls (being the only currency that matters long term) can take either two hours of active gameplay to grind out, or two days of not opening the game, or 30 seconds if you get a 40x souls boost and a bonus area or chest hunt (both of which are really cool features btw)I like the rng to an extent, and I like the game enough that I paid for the no ads thing, dev seems super cool and effective. However, making progression depend /entirely/ on rng that /might/ occur in three hours of active gameplay is not fitting for an idle game.My two cents, for what they’re worth, nerf the rng bonuses, boost just about everything else. Keeps the fun element of surprise without being dependent on rng combos to carry you to the next upgrade.Art is great. Game mechanics look and feel great. The progression systems (in theory) are unique and interesting. Easy to understand, but deep enough to feel worth being somewhat invested in.The numbers just don’t work out the way they are right now.I would love to give this game 5 stars in the future.

Simple but complex, overall Great!

As an indie developer this game is pretty awesome for it’s simplicity to play but complex nature built around the idle adventure you take on. However there is a bug. Quite annoying actually and it’s in the beginning of the game. So when you are given the opportunity to ascend you can click the button to ascend but in my case it will simply do nothing and me being me i kept clicking thinking an ad would pop up or something. However i finally gave up and back out to the main area and then a pop up window saying you can’t ascend the first time until you reach 20 slayer points. This window would continuously pop up which I’m assuming for every time I clicked the “yes” button trying to ascend. This was crazy annoying and I had to close out the game and restart it. I’m sure you’ll fix this without a problem. Keep up the great work.
