I have a Legrand Digital Audio System installed in my new house, 4 rooms of music, and love it. The System sounds very good, I'm a bit of an audio file and like to listen to my high resolution audio files. The app is easy to navigate through. I would like to see an alarm clock feature, It would be nice to wake up to music. I like the flexibility to control the system from the wall mount keypad or free app.
The app was working for the most part of 3 years. All of a sudden after an update it does not have the option to select music (iHeartRadio/ pandora etc). How should this be addressed?Update : I contacted Gerald (looking at the previous posts) and he asked me to restart the system which solved the issue.
I hesitated for many months to get the Legrand On-Qdigital audio system with the wall controllers based on the terrible reviews. We had our system professionally installed, and we have not had any issues. I thought being able to press the favorites button in each room and be able to get the music that we want. I purchased an inexpensive airplay device that allows me to stream from my phone to one of the four channels of music. We have all been extremely happy with how the system works and it’s reliability. Perhaps they have worked out whatever bugs plagued the system and prior iterations. I would definitely recommend
I wish I can give negative stars as this app DOES NOT work. Unfortunately if you are reading this you probably have already invested in a system. I have had Guardian/Legrand since October and it has been nothing but headaches. I just built a new home and the system was offered to us as an ad on for a pretty high price. I have called for multiple issues due to connectivity with no results. I just want to listen to music. I have had appointments canceled due to tech call off sick, “ oh I didn’t know I had to bring that piece of equipment “ “oh that has to be ordered”, etc... and the grand finale or should Legrand finale our kitchen control switch was installed upside down!! So I would not install a Legrand system or a Guardian system.
This application works okay, but took me a little while to figure out.Now that I have I’m mostly happy. To link to your home library connection instead of using one of the media servers, I just use the library function. Takes a while for it discover everything but once you do, you are set. It appears that something between iOS 16 and the latest release broke. So my phone no longer connects but my iPad does. Nice to have home audio without setting up an amplifier etc. That now sits in the closet
Like many others, I got the onQ system that came with my home and was set up by Guardian but the app won’t connect to my device and only works through bluetooth. I have to leave my phone in the kitchen to play music in the bedroom?? It skips and breaks constantly. I can’t reach anyone for help and I don’t see an end to this issue in sights. Why are Ryan Homes and Guardian using this horrid system?!Also, just downloaded the update and now the system says it can’t bind at all so I can no longer use the app for bluetooth.
We purchased some whole house audio speakers through Guardian when building our home, and unfortunately it requires the use of this awful app. More often than not, this app won’t even function to be able to play music. On the off chance that you can get this to play, it often cuts out mid-song. There are so many bugs in the app, I often just give up. I frequently receive errors about not being able to connect to the distribution module, so we are unable to play music through any of the 4 sets of speakers that we had prewired throughout the house. This was supposed to bring sound and joy into our home, and I simply loathe the thought of attempting to use it at all. Avoid this as a home audio sound solution if possible.
This is an update to my previous review, which is still posted below. After prompt response from technical support my issue stated below has been resolved for now. The app is working as designed. The app itself is very nicely designed. It is intuitive and efficient to navigate. With continued performance of the app, I will rate 5 stars. PREVIOUS RATING:Title: FLAWED ( 1 star):Anytime the app updates or randomly for that matter the home button disappears and is replaced by a Settings button. No way to get to your room selections. You have to hope that a deinstall / re-install solves the problem.
The app works fine. I do sometimes have to check that I don’t have pandora already running in my phone, and if so just quit the pandora app and relaunch this app to get it to work. We currently have 7 zones and will expand soon. Apple Music support would be great, although I suppose it would work if I add it to my library and use my device to stream.
Buggy, and does crash often, but worst of all is the volume control is too close to the bottom of the screen for newer iPhones without a home button. This makes adjusting volume a huge pain and inconsistent when that should be the easiest possible feature on the app! Volume should be controlled on a side or closer to the top of the screen.
