Lots of options but needs some more

I got this app so I could write out chemical equations and calculus problems to my lab partner, so I wanted an integrated keyboard for texting. The superscript and subscript options are very helpful but I need a superscript plus sign (+) to be able to write the charges on cations, etc. I would also like to be able to turn off the keyboard sounds for the SciKey keyboard because they're very annoying if you're used to keyboard sounds being off.

Very Nice Keyboard

I always has trouble with unicode keyboards either missing symbols I need or having to look really hard. This app makes it a lot easier with a fully customizable keyboard. One suggestion is to have more modes or adding key held options (like holding "4" to see "4","⁴","₄")

It’s ok but could be so much better

The superscript and subscript numbers are helpful, no doubt, however I wish there was a way to expand the repertoire of superscript/subscript options. As other people has noted, this app lacks the superscript + and -, which would be useful in writing chemical equations and such. Furthermore, an entire subscript and superscript alphabet (or something of that nature) would be exceedingly helpful for writing equations, variables, fractions, etc. Finally, while I do find the lack of many Greek letters such as μ to be odd for a scientific keyboard, I get around this by adding a Greek keyboard to my set of options. It is, however, rather cumbersome having to constantly switch between multiple keyboards just to write one equation.

Needs More Keys

This is the only app that I've found where one is able to customize the keyboard with a lot more symbols than just the alphabet or punctuation so I applaud you for that. I have the app and I've been considering getting the full version to edit the keyboard, but it only has 81 keys and I'd really like to have a lot more for my purposes. Also, another neat feature would be if one would be able to make multiple different keyboard layouts and choose which one to use. Thank you! Have a nice day!

Great

it has all the symbols i've been wanting to use for free (most notably √x), has a very low paywall of less than a dollar and has an excessive amount of customization options that allows it to be literally a keyboard of your most used keys rather than one solely for math, one with 84 keys instead of the standard 80 with some rather useless ones like €

Super useful actually

I needed something to help me type out complicated chemistry notation, and I’d highly recommend getting the pro version because I’ve been able to customize it to my exact needs. For the amount of characters available and the amount of space allowed on the keyboard, $0.99 is incredibly worthwhile.

Great Keyboard- With Add-On

This keyboard is pretty good in the free version. Has a lot of the standard keys and the interface is easy enough. But it really shines when you get the full set of symbols for 99¢. It has everything one needs for any math or physics writing. The thing I could most see making this better would be the ability to add multiple symbols to each key like the standard keyboard (ex: holding $ lets you access ₽¥€¢£₩). Not sure why the app needs full access for customization, but I'm not typing anything sensitive with it so I don't mind.

Dont bother with the free version

Seriously I'm no math wiz, barely a scientist and to write a few simple equations, i cannot do it. To developers: Just give me some basic symbols to try a 'calc kit' or a 'chem kit' or a 'trig kit' and I would happily buy this whole thing. But to give me just a taste of each is a big waste of time. (Given: I have limited time and poor connection when I try the free version)If you would waste my time you will not get my money. Irritating the customer into buying is more and more common these days and I would rather put my good (aka $$) where it can do the most.

Not a good keyboard

I needed a math keyboard for writing proofs. Unfortunately it is very inconsistent; There are 3 panels to choose from. Among them, one panel has an entire row dedicated to ordinary variables such as a b x y z etc. Why? The issue is that instead of wasting space with these letters (as iPhones already have letters like this) why not add more symbols? This keyboard includes the conjunction symbol, but not disjunction? Quantifiers? Implication? set notation? These symbols could’ve easily been added instead of letters like a b d i j ... Instead we see clear poor design choices. This is the best math keyboard and that says a lot. Unfortunately it isn’t practical. For lower level math this is sufficient; for higher level, don’t waste your time.

Needs more symbols

This math symbols keyboard is the best of the various free ones I could find. Still, it's missing a lot of symbols that would be good to have. Most notably an arrow symbol --> for writing limits and functions is missing. There are also some symbols in here that we DO NOT need. Particularly, much of the keyboard is devoted to Latin and Greek letters. However, not all the letters are included. For letters we can switch to the normal keyboard. And apple already has a Greek keyboard that works fine.I would rather have one specialized keyboard for ONLY symbols that I could switch back and forth from. This is a clearer goal than trying to make a keyboard that you would never have to leave to type math (which may be overambitious?) By eliminating the letters you make space for more symbols. That said, this flawed all is still the best free app on the App Store for its purpose. Thank you to the author, and please listen to the feedback!
