Amazing Writing / Whiteboard App!
Amazing Writing / Whiteboard App! Besides having awesome features as a whiteboard, it’s fantastic as a doodling and design idea jogging tool.Another wonderful feature is that it has an almost perfect compatibility with the native iOS Notes app. You doodle on the iOS notes app ⤑ select, copy or cut your doodle from the ios notes app ⤑ paste onto Prodrafts ＝ The result is that it copies in high definition, and exactly the same as if you were copying it “within” iOS Notes app (like from one note to another). You can still individually modify your doodle or writing’s colors and size, etc.Another impressive feature is that it causes little battery consumption despite the amount of options it offers.𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒘𝒊𝒔𝒉, is that it would have been ideal that the exported documents (PDFs) would be exported as a “ 𝒗𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝑷𝑫𝑭 ” (for handwriting), and not as an image. Many apps do this (such Pages by Apple, OneNote by Microsoft, etc.)
Awesome app
I just started using this app for writing notes to learn another language. Not having the constraints of a normal notes app is hugely helpful (for example, being able to just keep writing notes to the right of a worksheet as long as I want). It’s very simple to use and the exporting feature works perfect. I just paid for the $8 premium version to support, even though I probably don’t need the extra features.
Amazing Infinite Canvas app!
I love the features! Only issues I currently have right now would be some copy and pasting issues. Such as the text not being able to copy and paste? the UI is has some minor tweaks that do need to be done. Overall a truly beautiful app and huge shout out to the developers! I hoped to see continued progression on the app!
Great note taking app
I use this in grad school. I'm able to drag and drop screenshots from my computer. The app syncs very well across all my devices. Endless canvas for note taking. Pens and markers respond appropriately. Search function makes it easy to search for topics/content across multiple pages. I have tried MANY different apps (nebo, freeform, notability) and this one is currently my favorite by far for endless note taking. It is not a substitute for notability, but it crushes many of the features other apps do not come close with. I also like I can upload video clips to my notes in this app. The biggest thing i notice is that I add more and more content, I do not see the same amount of LAG and SLOW loading that I see with other apps. This handles large amounts of notes very well. Thanks prodrafts!
Got me back to note taking on iPad
I just wanted an open space to doodle while taking notes or taking note while doodling. Your choice of words. I love it. You start working in two taps. I needed that. Having Apple’s pencil toolbar adds a world if you want to color and play with brushes.The app has perform well for me. No crashing or hanging. I have found words in other languages in the menu. No biggie, more funny and interesting for me than anything.I would LOVE to freely rotate the canvas while using the app, besides being able to do so with the iPad rotation feature.
So close to being perfect
Honestly I could give 5 stars, but I’m giving 4 because this app is so close to being perfect and would love to see the awesome developers add a couple more features.For example, automatic iCloud syncing across devices, lasso function on text objects, and some kind of gesture to switch between pencil and eraser mode (for apple pencil gen 1 users) would make me loyal to this app forever!
Better than Freeform
This is an amazing app for me as an online educator, but I’ve been holding off on buying it until iOS 16.2 dropped and I could try out Freeform. Just a few minutes playing around in Freeform was enough for me to realize that it couldn’t do for me what Prodrafts does. Instantly bought the pro version of Prodrafts.
Great app with lots potential but need some improvements
Personally I love the idea of unlimited writing paper, especially for studying biology, medicine related subjects. I appreciate the use of apple’s innate writing system, which somehow shows a prettier writing than the ones on apps like notability/GoodNotes. However, the lack of lasso select function is honestly very annoying, almost discouraging. There’re multiple times I want to move a segments of writing to another location for better idea categorizing, but I can’t. I even purchased the premium upgrade, because I thought this function is included based on the description of “expanded pencil tool”, but it’s not.Speaking of the upgrade, I haven’t experience a major user improvement with the $7 premium upgrade. The shape function, at least for me, is meh. I don’t mind having an imperfect circle or arrow. I don’t really need that much extra pencil setting space on the side. Maybe there’re more functions available, but I haven’t find them as useful nor necessary (which I understand this is why the upgrade is optional).Overall, it is a great app even without the upgrade. I can see it having lots of potential becoming a more mainstream productivity app. However, I really hope it can implement some sort of cloud backup option (even one way backup to the third party app like google drive could be helpful), and please please include the selection function I mentioned.
Unexpectedly good - Perfect app for infinite canvas
My experience has been marvelous so far. I love its multifunction within the canvas itself, and the adoption of the original Apple Pencil drawing features! It opens a whole new world. Though I would say I hate Apple built in highlight pen. It’s so dusty and annoying when highlighting stuffs, thus I have to use other apps when I need to do such app. A pleasant surprise is that thanks to the prebuilt pencil style, this app is great for writing Chinese and Japanese words/letters.
Almost perfect
So far best infinite notepad with the extra tools I was looking for. Would love to know how to change the background color is there a dark mode. I can’t find a Settings button to change that stuff. If there is not a dark mode available please add a dark mode
