Great game but heavy money machine

I love the game very much including many of cute characters. I love the new story events every once awhile. It is a great game for people who are looking for short stories, Japanese anime voice dialogue and characters fighting monsters. However, the newer characters are very difficult to obtain and upgrade, especially gocha supply. The probability for rate up seems lower than old characters, and easily getting old repeats when the player have not completed collect all in game characters. On top of that the only option to upgrade newer characters are through repeatedly character’s supply points, and maybe random drop from dungeon. The bar is set too high for unlucky players if they are unable to obtain through the probability rate described above, so you might end up spending hundreds of dollars and not getting the new rate up characters which is not really worth it for a 2D game. In addition for in game free gems, you can only obtain them from new story event if you already exhausted all other options (storyline, first complete reward and pvp ranking). I’d love to rewatch the show again from time to time..

Subjective game review

I will mention four things about this game. First of is the target player for this game. If you like waifu anime and enjoy collecting your favorite characters of Princess Connect, this is a game for you. I actually wanted a gatcha game that has diverse character selection including male and monster units. So I reduced a star for review. Secondly I want to talk about the summon rate. It is low. Yes, you will get a bunch jewel in the beginning which is like many other games. However, later on you will find yourself not able to do any pull when you favorite character comes out. Basically only P2W will be able to collect their waifu. Third thing I want to talk about is the game mechanic. This is a casual game so don’t expect anything crazy complicated. Yes, there are some depth regarding position, skill timing, buff and so on but that is it. Not much to do due to limited stamina and how crazy expensive to refill it. More over, the rng that might or might not go against you for your wanted gear drop. You might spend 200 stamina to just get one piece gear. Last thing I want to talk about is how this game just got released globally but has so little events going on.... seriously, push more events to grab players attention. Make the game rewarding or else player like me won’t stay to play a game that is purely waifu collector. Plus, the animation and graphic is only fine. I do like character with 2.5D or 3D design. Thank you.

Good game horrible translations

So I have played Priconne for a long time. It’s a fun game with great animations. I was excited to see it finally got an English version and to be fair I probably wouldn’t invest much time in it unless I got extremely lucky with my first few gacha pulls since I have most of my favorites on the Japanese version. However, I decided to just stay away from the game all together because crunchyroll decided to take some weird cringeworthy liberties with the translation. Some examples are changing “onii-chan” to “Mr. Nice Guy”. I get it you don’t want your western cancel culture seeing a loli call a stranger big brother but you couldn’t think of a better less weird alternative or perhaps just leave it off completely? Another is adding “bruh” and “amirite” to another characters lines. I get she is considered dumb but wow that’s still sort silly.Edit: Due to developer feedback and what seems like they’re listening I will change my rating. I will send my feedback directly with future translation grievances directly. I absolutely love Priconne and truly want it to succeed. Plus watching Ina play while drawing kokkoro made me want to give it another shot.

Lots to see

It’s obvious that a lot of work went into this game. All of the scenes are fully voice acted (though you can turn it off to save data and space), and there are tons of them—the main story, 8 scenes for each character, and more for each guild. The gameplay itself is good but nothing groundbreaking. Make and power up your teams, go through fights, and hit the occasional wall where you have no choice but to grind for gear/levels until you can beat it. If you haven’t been playing from day 1 you have basically no chance of getting in the higher ranks for PVP arenas to get those characters quickly, which can be a turnoff for new players. Certain characters are notably more powerful than others with similar “power” ranks, though you don’t need to spend money to get them if you’re willing to grind certain stages or save your arena coins for them.Overall, good game—especially if you’re looking for story—but not without flaws

The Quality

The cute characters, unique story, simple gameplay, production and animations are what makes priconne a very quality experience for anyone who is into moe.I put cute characters first for a reason because it’s probably why I love this game. All the characters are cute, voiced and have their own story and bonding moments with the main character and each other with main story being pretty much anime with surprising good animation and acting. And it also has guild stories too that roots a lot characters together to make the game world seem much even more believable and immersive. The gameplay is simple due to it just being a standard free to play JRPG with autoplay feature attached but even so it at least takes a bit of thought and grinding when it comes to a good team composition for higher level play. One nit pick I have has to be the stamina and how tedious it is but it’s pretty standard for a free to play mobile game anyway so it’s understandable.Micro-transactions are pretty fair in my opinion and you probably won’t have to spend much at all because you can earn a good bit of the premium currency in game but spend wisely if you do.In conclusion, it is a very character focused moe JRPG with high quality production put behind a unique story and very simple gameplay. Would very much recommend.P.s The anime is great as well, can’t wait for season 2.

It’s a “mostly” generous gotcha game but has some flaws...

It’s well build and all. Summoning gems are not very difficult to get so that’s a big plus especially for a gotcha game. Sadly the game has no dub but that’s alright. The biggest issue is how luck based ranking up is. You spend stamina to go on quests to get pieces of gear. Each gear has 3 or 4 levels it can drop from so you go there and farm but you probably won’t get what you need. You can WASTE ENTIRE DAYS WORTH OF STAMINA and not get any of the gear you needed. The loot dropped is padded with rank 1 gear that you will just keep pulling those instead of the other gear you needed. If it were the golden gear then yes, that should be hard to get but it’s not. It’s the run of the mill items that require so much materials that the game just won’t drop. The items displayed on levels should have higher drop rates instead of flooding you with rank 1 items that you literally get from beating the first level. I typed all that just to say, a heads up to any new players or people considering playing, this game will stall out real quick so decide if it’s worth your time.

So far, so good! Loving me waifus.

What, I really am. Though when I play this game,I can easily relate this game to 6 other one, kinda sad at the same time I been waiting so long for this game! I was so patient I didn’t do the pre-register, I just waited for the full version to come out and guess what, it. Was. Worth. It. I don’t really like the storyline, characters, very well though, I love the game itself, but the rates for 3 stars, is so low, did a nice amount of 10 Gachas and nothing, just nothing. Not a lot of characters now, but in the future I was be looking for more cute girls! I love the art and animated scenes, I love the game overall,I don’t really like the fact it seems like another “pay-to-win-game” because it really dose like BanG, the paid thing, I downland this game hoping not to deal with that, besides that wonderful game I will say that, worth the wait? Yes! Thank you for the time y’all put in this game, really appreciate, thank you.Edit: Merci! Thank you for listening Game developers! It really made it seemed like someone was listening, The rates for 3 stars is very low, I believe that’s were the money making part comes in, it’s tends to make users buy Premium to do the start Gacha, If y’all like the Premium thing, then make a redo Gacha! Cost Premium but you can redo it until you get the girl you like 3 star guaranteed,I will leave more game suggestions to the actual thing you recommend, thanks for listening!

Overly slow, and terrible PvP

Game is way too slow, there’s only 2 banners a month, and 1 Clan Battle + 1 Event a month. This leaves you with large periods of time with nothing new going on. PvP in this game is totally frustrating at the top ranks, with battles feeling like literal coin flips. Attacks and ultimates missing can really make it so you can win/lose with the exact 2 teams fighting. Top rank meta is pretty much filled with stall comps. Better pray that your taunts line up, or you some how manage to kill their Tamaki first or get ready to lose (even if you do many times more dmg, and kill more characters then their team, time up is an instant loss). Princess Arena feels even worse with all the same cancer problems as normal arena, but now with the added perk that you can’t see your opponent’s teams at top ranks. Better pray that you picked the right teams into their’s, or you already wasted one of your 5 daily attempts to figure out their teams. Oh, and even now there are still hackers floating about, so you might just lose ranks to teams you beat.Character designs are cute, but it’s not enough to make up for the pacing. Hopefully Crunchyroll speeds up content.

10 Stars Couldn’t Do This Game Justice

Many of you know the more common JRPGs and Gacha games such as Gacha Life and Genshin Impact. I’ve played both games and although I have enjoyed both and keep both installed I do believe that JRPG and Gacha games are the most frustrating. When I first downloaded this game, I expected it to be more like genshin impact in that we were fighting and running around in real time and there were quests, rather than how it is where you chose when to fight and when to level up and bond with characters. All in all I think that Crunchyroll outdid themselves and that this game is the best mix between JRPGs and Gacha games. It’s not too frustrating and you’re not spending your time just to get weapons you already have a bunch of and can’t sell. I think everyone should at least try this game. (Also as a heads up the tutorial goes pretty slow so just be patient and if you choose to download all the content at once it will take multiple hours)

Very very good game! Not many negatives

I absolutely love this game. It’s very fun and I enjoy what it has to offer. I really like watching the story and I like that bonding with the characters boost their stats. This game has some mechanics that’s different from typical gacha games such as the divine amulets, the rank equipment and more but I think that’s okay it’s not that frustrating. Even though I do really like this game, the only things I dislike are the divine amulet price increases and useless units. The buying of the divine amulet price increase is going to make it very hard to level characters, I understand why it’s here but that’s definitely going to be a grind. I wish there was an explore feature or run the guild house feature that made some of my chars not useless. I have some characters I’m never going to use so I wish there was an explore or something other gacha games have that let your units do something over time while idle.I still really love the game though, patiently waiting ayumi’s unique equipment!
