Kudos to the dev.

I just bought this App to use it with my Nikon Z50. My main concern was to identify the best AF mode for BIFS. It quickly became apparent that the app was not fully updated for my camera. I notified the developer and he went to work on an update. He worked through 2 in 1 week, and each one was a significant improvement. Still not perfect, but much improved, and I know he’s still working. It’s only a matter of time. BTW, this is far and away the best EFIX reader out there, and more than worth the price of admission.

Must have app for all serious photographers

Before I installed this app I had to transfer my photos onto my PC and then import it into Adobe Photoshop Lightroom to get the Exif data. Now, with this app I can instantly get the data I need. This app will also get the data from HEIF files. I found the app was very easy to use and very fast.

Superb app!

PhotoMeta is an excellent app—easy to use, flawless, beautifully designed, and highly informational, providing all the metadata a user might desire. I am legally blind and I take photographs. Because my vision is severely limited, often I will see later in a picture things I could not see at the time with my naked eye. I use a DSLR and enlarge my photos on a jumbo computer screen. After I purchased an iPad, I wished to have an app that would read the metadata of each photo aloud to me using Apple’sVoiceOver capability. I wrote to the PhotoMeta developer to request that the app work more completely with VoiceOver. The new version works flawlessly. The metadata are read aloud completely, enabling me to know the settings I need to use to make better photos for the future. The app navigates easily. All the buttons and images are labeled clearly. This unique app makes an important contribution to the blind and to all photographers who want to use the iPad as an advanced tool. Kudos toGalarina and PhotoMeta

Fantastic!!

I got this app after I got tired of having to transfer photos from my iPhone to my Mac in order to look at the detailed metadata. The amount of information it shows is incredible!I chose this app based on my experience with GeoTagr, another great app from the same developer which I use frequently (and highly recommend!).The developer is a really great guy, who responds quickly to bug reports and future requests. He also follows up to let you know when a new version that fixes your bug has been released in the App Store.

Wonderful app for serious - and other - photographers

This app gives comprehensive shooting data for photos you've put on an iPad, in a very appealing format. The Basic data accurately identifies camera model and lens model and date/time, among other things. Detailed data is exhaustive info on camera settings and other meta data. This info is extremely useful.Note: a prior version of this app could not access some of this data for photos put on the iPad via iTunes, because the data was not present: iTunes removed part of the metadata during the synch. I have not yet checked whether current versions of iTunes have fixed this problem. But for photos you have put on the iPad directly (I use Apple camera connection kit), this app is splendid, even for RAW files from very new cameras.

Pretty Good

I have a new ipad (3rd Gen) and so far this app seems to work pretty well. It is no longer crippleware, and there is nothing else to buy. For the $2.99 you get the full version. It showes the meta data for any picture the ipad takes, as well as any picture I import to the ipad from my cameras, even RAW files, using the camera connection kit. The web browser is OK, but you will not find much meta data on most pictures on the web as it is usually stripped off when the pictures are uploaded. Some people leave the data attached on some of the photo sites. It would be nice to see the meta data reading option available in a pop up menu when using safari, rather than using the browser in the app.

Outstanding Technical Support!

I have downloaded several apps to check the metadata in my photos and this one is, by far, the best. I love that I can customize the information I want to see & easily switch back to the "everything" view, if needed. I emailed support about the metadata not showing for some photos in my some of my albums. Chris took the time to find out exactly what was happening & explained the reason for the missing info, even though, it turned out to having nothing to do with the app's abilities. It seems that iDevices remove metadata from photos saved to the regular & shared photo streams. It is confusing because not the same amount of info is removed each time. Thank you, Chris, for an excellent app & superb support!

Support for Fujifilm metadata!

I have recently bought into the Fujifilm X series camera system and love shooting JPEG straight out of camera, thanks to Fujifilm’s excellent in-camera processing, film simulations, etc. But I have been frustrated with trying to see / recall the Fujifilm specific settings that I used for different pictures. This app shows all of that data. The only issue I have had with the app is that the photo browser side will jump back to the latest pictures after a few seconds, making it a little frustrating when trying to review pictures from the past. The metadata side stays focused on the selected photo though so it’s still good for getting those camera specific details of a picture.
