Better than a "real" metronome

Of course, it fits in my pocket,in a device I already carry with me. I can use it anywhere on the spur of the moment. This app stands out among its competitors because of its interface, the ease of use and variety of sounds used to mark the time. My only beef is that on the various iPhones I have it on, it does not recall the time signature. It always starts with anything BUT the last one used. However, it does remember all the remaining settings. As for the adverts: “generally” they are unobtrusive, and anyhow you’re not looking at the screen. However, every now and then, just as soon as you touch any control it pops up a full-screen advert at you. Fortunately, the metronome just keeps ticking away.

Subscription Issue and fix

Thought I’d try out the app since it seemed interesting. First I thought it was weird that it wasn’t letting continue through the app without making me subscribe to their “premium” offer of 1 week free trial. So I did thinking that if I didn’t like it I could always cancel my next bill which turned out I wasn’t really a fan of the app so when I went to go cancel my subscription, no where on the bottom of the subscription offers could i find an option to cancel it. This really made me angry since I felt like this company was trying to cheat us into making us pay, I almost called apple into helping me cancel my subscription but before I did I went on my computer and onto the ITunes app and luckily found the option to cancel it their so for all you people out their who can’t cancel their subscription, if you have a laptop, go on your iTunes their to cancel it and save your self some time from calling apple. This app should be taken down until it can fix its subscription cancellation option on the phone.

They only want your $$$$$

The ONLY reason I'm giving this game 4 stars is because the game IS great. But you cant play ANYTHING except for ONE of the games. You gotta pay to play anything else. Also I played the button game and then it locked it and said i had to get the subscription so i rest my case. Like WHY can’t they just make it a one time purchase for the whole app in the first place LIKE THEY USED TO???? Then you didn’t have to worry about ads or in-app purchases and those were THE DAYS. Bc that’s what you get with “free” games. You pay by having to waste half your time your in the app watching ads and STILL PAYING for other features in the game. So deleting this one.

Definitely a life saver!

I take piano classes, and play the piano. I was recently recommended this app, and I love it! Whenever I have 4 3 time, I always use this because that’s the time I get most mixed up with! Using this will help me in classes, and definitely is a life saver. I also love the games, it helps me get a beat and very fun too.I have one con though, and that’s the ads. I know the developers have to make money, but it’s kind of a pain to stop my timer to get an ad. I know I should probably get VIP so that can be fixed, but I currently am saving up for something, and don’t want to spend money right now. I don’t want to complain, but maybe just add the ads to another part of the app?But all in all, this app is a life saver for me, and is one of my favorites!

I mean what did I expect?

After clicking on this app through an advertisement that made it seem like it’d be a fun rhythm game, I’m disappointed in myself for being foolish enough to think I could do anything in this thing without paying $50 (no joke) for unlimited access. You heard me right, folks. $50 for a metronome you can buy at a music store for $2. “But what about that sweet button game??” You ask? You can play that... once. Then, of course, you’re asked to pay $50 to play it again. But don’t you worry — you can count simple 4/4 rhythms on the backs of red and green colored birds like you did in grade school until your little heart is content. Price for that? Only suffering through a few advertisements for how life-changing the $50 version of the metronome will be.So why a one-star rating? The one star is really for myself, to be honest. For clicking on an Instagram ad. For downloading an app like this. For believing that maybe this wasn’t a total scam app written by some middling music theory major with a minor in entrepreneurship trying to make a quick buck (or $50!!!!!!!!!) off the backs of average Americans just looking to tap out some rhythms with their poor overworked thumbs on a random Wednesday night. This one star rating is for me. And for you for even reading the reviews of this sorry app.

Better than what I expected.

It took me about 5 minutes to understand all of the functions that are useful to me. Once I was done with the learning process, I realized just how good this new app is. Its strength is that it is simple. If you want to increase the tempo, just turn the dial clockwise. Turn it counter clockwise to reduce the tempo. To change the time signature press the button on the bottom left corner, and a window appears where the time signature can be changed to just about anything that you would want. There are other features that are like icing on the cake. The tick sound can be changed from a simple tick to the tick sound of a piano, drum, etc... this is a free app with better than expected features.

worst app ever used

again, like many other people i have seen on these reviews, i would vote 0 stars if possible. this is the worst app i have ever used in my whole entire life and i wish it was non existent. after downloading it, i opened the app to see that i needed to pay 8 dollars PER WEEK?!? are you kidding me? there is no option to do anything on this app and everything about it is slow and horrible. a couple minutes after i downloaded it, i deleted because it was truly horrible. now, (a week later) i get a bill for 10 dollars and i am truly disgusted because i had canceled my subscription, yet, it still charged me. with all my life i beg you to use your money on MUCH better things. DO NOT BUY THIS APP. anyways, have a splendid day.

WARNING: this app’s goal is to trick you into subscribing

I did the free trial and it was actually a pretty neat metronome app, but the subscription cost seemed a bit excessive to me so I cancelled my subscription before my card was charged. Months later, I was showing the app to a friend of mine. When I first opened it, it had some text on it and a big orange “next” button. The following pages were the exact same, but with different text and the same big orange “next” button. Naturally, anyone who wants to just use the app is going to quickly click “next” until the metronome appears. They know that. And that is why at the last page. They placed the exact same button at the exact same spot, except that time it said “subscribe” on it. Obviously, I tapped it by accident, and my instinct was to close out of the app, it when I clicked my iPhone’s home button, Apple Pay read my fingerprint and the payment was processed. Call me crazy, but I don’t believe this was “coincidentally” set up that way and I’m sure I’m not the only one this has happened to. Any app that does this trickery to try to scam you into an extremely expensive subscription for the value deserves a 1-star rating in my book.

Good metronome, bad everything else.

I’ll start with the good: The metronome itself is actually quite a good tool and seemingly well developed. I enjoyed using it.Next, the bad:The games section (at least the free part) is atrocious. It’s glitchy, lackluster, and not worth your time. Stick with the metronome. Finally, the REALLY bad:You have to be completely out of your mind if you think $6.99 per week for a metronome app is a good value for your customers. I have a feeling a vast majority of your subscriptions at this level are accidental. I understand you need to make money to continue development, pay your employees fairly, and grow, but come on guys. Quit being predatory and show a little respect for your customer base. These kinds of shady practices are going to ruin the App Store for good. You are trading long-term customer loyalty for a quick dollar. Maybe that’s your goal, but it doesn’t look good on you.I don’t need a generic and dismissive PR reply to this. You know what you are doing, and I highly suggest you rethink your business practices and focus on bringing a loyal customer base for the long-term.

It's ok in a pinch

Initially looks "cool" but that quickly fades when you realize you don't have much control with the traditional metronome setting. The sounds are neat and the flashing is fun but to set anything it's with "multi-taps" you can't just, say, tap the "timing" area and set 6/8, you have to tap until it shows up and heaven forbid you pass it and have to start over again. Same with the beat. Setting the beat is tricky, I never was able to get 120, it jumped from 96 to 144. I like a little more control with my settings. I'm definitely willing to pay for a good app but I'll have to pass on this one.
