All the basics

I use the minimum of bells and whistles on this. If that’s all you need, this will fill your needs just fine. Good for both in-person practicing or armchair studying.

Works well

It keeps time really well for the way that I use it. You don’t have to pay to use the basic functions. If you don’t want to see ads, just put your device in airplane mode.

It’s amazing

I’m a music artist and I love this metronome. Even though it can’t go the fastest, I think it’s pretty great. Just to say, I don’t need my metronome to go THAT fast. Good job, it’s really cool. It feels like I actually have a real metronome in front of me. Realistic and awesome. I hope more people will use this to upgrade their piano skills!🌷

Don’t want to pay the subscription fee in 3 days

I don’t want the free trial! Can’t find anywhere to stop it. I’ve been to my iPhone settings and it doesn’t show that I’ve paid anything yet….obviously because the 3 day trial isn’t over. So do I have to wait until they charge me $7.99 a week (which is absolutely ridiculous and a total scam/rip-off)!Then after I’m charged the first time I can try to find out how to cancel the subscription! If you get $7.99 out of a bunch of people after you charged them once you’re making a lot of money…..scam

Don’t get me wrong…I appreciate a good app that keeps time.This one is digitally modeled after a classic metronome design however, the heart and soul of a classical metronome are absent.This abhorrent design gives you a “DING” on the ONE (or where ever you choose to place the ONE), gives you no option to turn it OFF, and lends you no options to tame it’s tedious ‘wooden’ throwback sound.I grew up practicing to a REAL metronome.This sounds like a cuckoo hitting a hammer while an elf comes out to smack a nail on 1.If you dig “DING duck duck duck”, then this is the app for you.If you prefer something a little more musical, check out some other options.Ooof. I never thought that my life would lead me to the point of posting a bad review for a digital metronome app.But here we are.Honestly… do yourself a favor… invest in a real metronome.

Great for travel

When at home i always use my traditional wind up metronome, partially because I’m old fashioned, but mainly because the romantic in me feels that there is just something harmonious about practicing with an old 20th century metronome. That said, when touring I typically leave the old clunker at home and then turn to this metronome app for my daily practice runs. It’s a great app metronome and I really like the traditional sounds and feel that it has. Great little guy for sure. Highly recommend.

So many speed options!

I love the numerous speed options, the ease of setting them, and the inexorable way the metronome keeps on ticking. I can’t make excuses about being unable to keep up with that insistent ticking. I just set the speed slower and go back to playing.

Plain old metronome

No need for funny stuff. Just a solid reference that sounds like an old-fashioned metronome, as advertised. Worth the developer’s attention to that, so I don’t even mind advertisers paying for it.

This doesn’t work.

I’m in Band at school and I need a metronome at home. I searched up this app, and I thought it would work, but it was a waste of time downloading it. You have to pay for the full version. You see the price “free” and think that’ll work great, but it tricks you! I suggest if you are in band at school learning how to play the instrument and your teacher tells you to get a metronome app, don’t get this one. In my opinion, this was a waste of time downloading it, and not a very good app.

This metronome app is created by a musician for musicians. Almost all metronome apps boast about their accuracy, but users with sensitive hearing notice inaccurate beats all the time. It used to be impossible to create a perfectly accurate metronome on a mobile device.

Despite the failure of other apps, perfect time is possible for TrueMetronome: its unique engine creates perfect beats with ABSOLUTE ZERO error. For this reason, TrueMetronome is most accurate metronome app on any mobile platform. Sound quality is the second issue for software metronomes. Serious musicians prefer a natural sound filled with overtones, but all metronome apps play short synthetic samples (so that the first sound stops completely before the next begins). Thus, you hear an artificial, dead sound. Moreover, the identical samples playing at the same frequency can drive any man crazy! TrueMetronome solves this problem thoroughly: all sounds are recorded from real metronomes, a beat does not affect the gradual decay of its predecessors, and each beat's sound is a little different from the others. All this contributes to the natural sound which is easier on your ears. Finally, an aesthetic, thoughtful interface is an important aspect of any application, and TrueMetronome pays particular attention to it. Creating an electronic metronome interface is simple, but TrueMetronome does not cut corners: it recreates the look and feel of a real mechanical metronome; every mark on the scale is labeled with a tempo mark, the deviation angle of the pendulum depends on the tempo, and the tempo is selected by dragging the weight. You can adjust the tempo in 2 BPM (beats per minute) increments by dragging the digital weight. This restriction prevents a change of tempo from accidental touches, and when you need greater precision in the selection of the tempo, there are "+" and "-" buttons as well. On the lower part of the metronome, you can turn the bell on and off and select the number of beats per measure.
