Don't believe the negative reviews

Other reviews claiming this game is "too political" aren't taking into account the fact that a) this game is aimed at middle and high school-aged players, who need more media that engages with them on their level in an approachable way about current affairs so they can stay informed and involved and b) the creator of the game gave a statement before the mini-episode that automatically starts the game, saying they wanted to create a special mini-episode to help people (youth in particular) deal with a post-election America. That subject matter cannot be apolitical, by definition, and if urging people to care and be involved is preachy, then I don't know what to tell you.Aside from that, the representation in this game is great. None of the characters feel like a token, and the developers really made a gender- and culturally-inclusive game. Representation matters, and it's important that young people see people like them in our media so they know that they matter. So download the game. At least get past the protest-themed mini-episode and into the main game before writing it off. Gift it to a young person in your life. We need more inclusivity the game industry, and it's important we support the studios that are seeking to create change.

So good

I haven't played the protest episode yet, but I play the main story. It was a bit pricey, but I understand where the devs are coming from. It's probably a good 5-10 hour game depending on speed of play. I loved the representation in this game. I'm so happy all around. I hope the devs release more storylines. I'd love to see it continued. I can tell they really cared about this project. Everything about it is beautiful. I may be a big too emotional sometimes, but this game made me feel the emotions of the character. Now don't get me wrong the game can use some work. There are a few spelling/grammar mistakes in the dialogue, but nothing so bad that took away from the story. There were times that I feel like the character wasn't really following how I wanted it to act, but I know it's hard to build in the many storylines to fit each player.

Good at First

I downloaded this game this morning, and have been playing it for a couple hours now. The episodes are pretty long, it took me about 2 hours to finish the first one. At first it was very fun, and I thought I had found an awesome choose your own adventure game that I didn’t have to pay for or watch ad to continue playing. When I finished the first episode, I was very excited to move on to the next one. I then found out that you have to pay $1.99 per episode, and there are 10 episodes. I understand that the creators need to make some money out of a game like this, but there’s no bundles or alternate ways to continue. There’s also no ads, which many people (including myself) appreciate, but I would much rather an ad then pay $1.99 per episode. For me at least, the first episode didn’t blow me away, and I wasn’t and still isn’t willing to put money into the game. Another reason why this game is getting 2 stars from me is the political issues. The creators are very biased. I have seen many reviews like this, so I’m not going to get into it too much. Overall, this is a game worth playing if your bored and have extra money to spend.

Beautiful

First off I’d like to say that this a wonderful game, the story is incredible and the characters, although being a bit cliche, are incredible. I love the support for the lgbtq+ community! You can pick your pronouns (non-binary being an option) and both avatars are neutral looking but still awesome! The only problems I have are that sometimes the grammar isn’t to good. It’s only a few minor mistakes but as someone that writes a lot I notice them and get slightly annoyed. Also, almost 2 dollars per chapter seems like a bit much. The chapters are long enough that it’s fine and you don’t have to keep spending money left and right but it can feel like a bit much. Still doesn’t take away from the wonderful art style and enticing story line! I also would like to add that the fact you can have a romantic relationship with the TURKEY is wonderful. The character development has been great so far and I’m exited to continue!

Great game!

I expected another plain ripoff of Episode, but I was wrong! The beginning lets you choose between he, she, and they pronouns, which I dont see too often (and is great for me!) They offer two character models, both of which have short hair and look rather androgynous (Bonus: theyre both POC) and you don't have to define what gender youre attracted to straight off the bat, which is great. The only reason I took off a star is that 1.99 per chapter seems a bit pricey, and I'm struggling trying to make ends meet so I havent bought any additional chapters yet. I also like how at the end of chapter one you're given the choice to say that you're not interested in crushes, which is great for any aromantic players! And to everyone complaining about this game pushing some kind of agenda: Thats a sidequest! Its optional to play and not attached to the main game! If you hate it so much you have the option to not play it!

Amazing!

This is literally the best fricking game in the App Store. Being bi myself, I felt like this app gave me so many options! The only problems I DID have is that one, if I bought episode 2 and others, and I'm thinking about just buying all of them, I wish you could buy a bundle of the packs, and it wouldn't charge you for the ones you already purchased??? Secondly, The new special chapter with "President Lump" was great because it was FREE, but it made me a little uncomfortable because I know there are probably some people who supported "Lump" (I know this is a ripoff of Trump) I understand no one has the exact same views, so I won't share my opinion... but I would like y'all to know, I think it's showing that the company is very one sided on political-ness (lol not a word) I'm not saying I agree or disagree; I just don't want political issues to take over this LGBTQ+ game. Once again, this is my favorite game in existence! -A random bisexual reviewer

Nice story, pricey chapters

I guess first and foremost I should say; I absolutely love the game. The art is cute, the characters and lovely, and while choices and reactions aren’t something I would do, you can’t please everyone. But to pay $1.99 per chapter is a bit much. I would much rather pay a $5.00 fee to buy the game then pay per chapter. The episodes aren’t long enough to be “worth” the cost and while I hate to say it, I’m probably not going to be buying episodes 5 and up unless I had an iTunes gift card. It’s something worth considering honestly, making all chapters one fee versus pay per chapter, especially because visual novels and dating sims on pc (and some on mobile) can be bought for under $10 and tend to be much longer (both overall and per part) But all that aside, the game is beautiful and encompasses teenage life wonderfully. Thanks for all the hard work you’ve done on it.

Purchased all but two levels and it erased my progress

I downloaded this game within the past week after seeing it on the App Store main page with great reviews. I played two of the three game saves, both mostly through the game. I opened the game yesterday to find that all my progress, game saves, and purchases had been erased. Restoring purchased content did nothing, even after it acknowledged the success of my restoration. Upon clicking the “continue” button, I was repeatedly met with some error message about URL invalid story scripts, then the app would close itself. I saw great importance in the lessons of this game, and for such reason, was willing to purchase the chapter upgrades. Absolutely no chance under the Sun of paying for them twice though, and if given the option, I would request a refund for the chapters already purchased, being as all content/progress disappeared overnight and no updates (or option to report issues) have been presented. After reviewing previous reviews, it seems this app has had major long-standing technical errors over the course of its existence, so it’s a shame that this persists even after its recent feature on the home page.

Recently Finished and in love with story

Where to begin? Well, I pretty much started this on Monday night. Pretty much played non-stop for four days and gotta say, BEST FOUR DAYS EVER! I haven’t experienced many games like this but the story for this was absolutely amazing. What I really want, and many fans probably agree with this, is a season two. I want to explore high school as the main character and I want to see how the friends all stay together. I’d love to see new characters too. I understand that it’s hard to produce games especially considering money, but in honesty this game holds a rather big message that not many people except maybe someone with fresh experience. See I’m currently seventeen. For me, the last day of middle is a couple years ago, but I still visit those experiences. Now I wasn’t as nosy but I did look into stuff otherwise ignored. Anyways....getting off what is a crazy explanation and just going to cut this into simplicity, beautiful game, love the art, the stories, the responses, a season would be good but just take your time. Heck, let us know if you need support. But we’ll be here. You the developers have our (the players) support. And I just want to say thank you for making this game.

please stop with the paying

I love this app so so much and the fact that we can have our own sexual preferences near the end for the first episode. but, I would give it 5 stars but for the reason for that 1 star taken was because I have to pay for episode 2.. I do not have the money for the second episode.. I would rather have a time limit / 1 hour cool down for the next episode. Yet again I do not have the money to pay because I don’t know how to get money on me phone because I am a kid, and it would be so helpful. Another suggestion is that, use the gems/ diamonds/ coins to buy the episodes! And have the diamonds/gems/coins have a cool down break. I really want to know what happens instead of skipping to episode 9 because I can’t buy the other episodes, overall this is an amazing app and people should use it more
