Awesome! Upgrade only 99¢

There are tons of widgets available in the app to add to your device. You can also create your own Widget! There is so much power in the app for customizing widgets. Try the app but give it several days before making decision on how you rate it. The help isn’t that great but it didn’t take me long to figure it out. There is also a user group you can join where you can see widgets others have designed with Widgetopia.

Steps

App has some really nice features however recently since the last update the step counts for the weekly and monthly totals for bar charts and line graphs have been disappearing without any explanation as to why. The only way to get the line graph paragraph back is to go through the restore purchasing button found in the settings. Would really look forward to getting this app up and running the way it should be.

Lots of control, limited options

This app is great because how customizable it is, but there aren’t a whole lot of options for presets so you have to spend a lot of time making a widget look exactly like you want. The biggest issue is the info isn’t always accurate. The clock is delayed sometimes if you didn’t open the app often enough and the weather is always hours behind. Even doing a manual refresh doesn’t work. More font options would be nice too, and organized fonts. Right now the font list is a mess.

Almost

This is definitely the best widget app on the App store. But, the widgets don't update in real time. Also, if you accidentally touch the widget it takes you right to the app. Why? And the most annoying things is when you touch say the weather on the widget it takes you to the app, then shortcut, then it will take you to what you were intended to goto. I am sure that's because of apple, but the developer's can work with Apple to fix that I hope.But definitely the best app widget, buy the paid version for the development. I know they will make it better eventually.

Accurate time and easier management, please!

I purchased this app today and it was very difficult to set up. I’m pretty tech savvy, though no expert, but it took going back and forth between the setup and my home screen many times to get the widget in place. I like that I could design what went on it, but the main reason I got it was to have a good clock with day and date. The instructions told only how to put a widget on the page, and it repeatedly put the wrong one up. By trial and error, I got the correct widget in the place I wanted it, only to discover that the clock updates at its own rate! Seriously, a clock needs to be accurate always. Despite the fact this is a paid app, there are frequent opportunities to upgrade to a ”pro” version. Am I to believe you don’t think a monthly subscriber needs only an approximate time on the clock???? I spent so much time struggling with this app, I will have to go back at it tomorrow. Most likely, I will drop it and find a clock that actually tells time.

I LOVE THIS, BUT…

Okay so I just got this and I just made my first widget! The creation of widgets can take a bit to learn but I was able to figure it out after about 1/2 an hour of trying to make a widget. It doesn’t come with a tutorial when making widgets but you can get picture pretty easily if you try hard enough.YOU GUYS CAN DO SO MUCH CUSTOMIZING WITH THIS APP WHEN IT COMES TO WIDGETS!!!While I absolutely love what you can do with this I do have to point to others that while you can make your own customized widgets- depending on what that widget is designed for the lag can be a big problem when it try’s to update.For example the widget I made was one that listed all of the events that came from my device’s calendar. While it did list them, accurately at that, the problem was when I was adding new events into my calendar. It took an hour for the widget to actually update to show that there were new events added. When looking on Reddit, this was apparently a reoccurring problem that many people had to deal with. And it wasn’t just for the calendar either. People were also complaining about the weather as well as when time was involved in the widgets.

Restoring purchase is NOT working 🤦🏽‍♀️

I purchased the “LIFETIME” version of this app for $5.99 but I didn’t use it and forgot it was on my phone in the App Library. I recently decided to move it back onto my home screen to give it a try and saw that it is now a yearly subscription to use it. I tried restoring my purchase and nothing happened. I reached out to the developers and was told by them to “restore purchase” and It’s still not working. It’s still trying to get me to repurchase the app for $20 a year! Again, I ask why am I being asked to pay for the app again?I am very dissatisfied and disappointed because I was looking forward to enjoying this app and adding new looks to my phone.

Widgetopia - Top alternative to Widgey

Widgey is the best widget maker but Widgetopia is the 2nd best widget maker. Widgetopia does not support inline widgets and XL Widgets. You can make unlimited widgets in Widgetopia but it tends to lag a lot. The only thing that needs needs payment are some icon packs, wallpapers, premade widgets and weather data. Widgetopia is the best widget maker for non Widgey paid edition (1-4 Purchases) users. It allows you to make custom widgets unlike Widgetsmith which is very restrictive and are not meant for power users. This app is good for power users. Please add XL Home widgets and In-line lock widgets, add dedicated iPad resolution, and Widget transparency upgrade to support almost all devices.

Still on the fence

This widget app was the only one I could find so far that would let me move the date and time around and size it to fit the design I made. It looks really great and I don’t have to use the premium because I’m using my own image. But… the time…. The time is never really on time 😂 Been working to make my phone look like the phone UI in a game but ahahah the time throws me off. Sometimes it’ll be almost a whole hour off from what the actual time is 😂 But I am keeping it for now because, again, it’s the first app I’ve been able to find that I can customize the text to fit the image I have 😅
