Good but could use some new features
I really recommend getting these light bulbs and app they are really cool but the app is kinda hard to navigate. When setting up a scene you can’t make 1 light bulb a certain color and the others be different colors so it’s a multicolor scene also I love that when changing the colors it’s a smooth transition the only thing I wish is that it would be a smooth transition when turning on and off. If these features were to be added this app and light bulbs would be perfect.
Disappointed
I have been using these lights for about 3 years now and I have to say I’m disappointed. There are several facets in which this brand falls short. The app is very buggy and constantly disconnects from the lights, the automation does not work, even after trying to troubleshoot, and the colors, while vibrant, are very often whitewashed at higher brightnesses. I would like to say that I don’t regret my purchase, but honestly it would be a better investment to buy a more prolific and expensive brand. Don’t waste your money or your time on this product, you will be sorely disappointed. I truly don’t understand how this app has a 4.8 rating.
Good interface, but could be great
Overall an intuitive interface. No issues with initialization and pairings. My suggestion is to allow grouping of several devices. In my case, I’d like to be able to control both front porch spot lights at one time. The way the app is set up, it treats them like separate devices and requires separate customization of schedules and colors. Not the end of the world, but kind of a hassle if you want to change things around frequently like lighting schemes for holidays and such.
App works great, bought a product for another app and the other app didn’t work so I used it here.
Some parts are a little complicated when pairing but as soon as you get it it’s very easy and simple. Works great, never had any errors or bugs myself.
Awful
Doesn't allow for connection to Alexa for unknown reason and can't control all lights at once. Making a scene is extremely tedious without being able to input numbers; the lights are always one shade off from each other, or one is just a little too bright. Connection to other devices and connecting the lights themselves takes forever if it ever happens. The lights also completely disconnect when switch is turned off. All around terrible user experience for the same price as other well-made lights.
Love the bulbs and the app
I love the bulbs and the app. Very neat. There was a little discovery to setting up the first bulb, so a bit more help would be nice. But, nothing major and after the first it was very simple to setup the rest. The Alexa integration works great. Really no complaints, very nice overall. The app is very functional, with all the features I was hoping for. It’s not really flashy, which I like, personally. No silly noisy glitz to complicate using the app. After a bit of exploring, I found everything I needed. These bulbs are fun. I spent an inordinate amount of time playing with the lighting settings and options. You might be a nerd if… 😜🥸
Not user friendly
Lightbulbs are great. The app itself is not user friendly or intuitive. It makes creating preset scenes and switching between them very difficult! There are also a limited number of scenes that can be made. Like ??? Plus, you have to manually click on the scene you want so if you set a timer and had a different scene on previously, it will not switch to the other automatically. Needs so much improvement.
We’ve used for YEARS
I love love love our lights. We keep them in my daughters room on her wall. Each night she gets to pick what color she wants. It’s amazing. And they work so well and the app is intuitive! One time we forgot to turn off the lights while away, but I remembered I had the app so I turned them off. We didn’t know if it worked at the time but when we came home we saw that the lights were out. Thanks for making such a great app and product!
Saved an old fan
I have an eight year old ceiling fan that came with two small E12 lamb bulbs that the on/off mechanism in the fan was long broken. I purchased these bulbs, installed them, they worked and now they are connected with Alexa and they work wonderfully and I don’t need to purchase a new ceiling fan any time soon.
We love the bulbs but…
The bulbs are great. The app is not the easiest to understand at first but it works well. My wife and I are having a problem though. We just got an Alexa and I have gone through all the process to link the app and everything to Alexa. But Alexa still will not find the bulbs to control them. I talked with Alexa support last night and they tried troubleshooting with me and nothing worked so I was told to connect the developer of this app. Please help!
