How do you enable video mode? Ive had this app for years and love it for stills, but I don’t see the option for video as stated in this new release.______________________________Thanks for the response, however, I still don’t see it. The icon in the lower right corner is inactive. It does nothing. On iPad with latest iOS.I’m changing my rating to 5 stars because of the great stills, but the video mode simply does not work for me. If it did work, what is the length of the loops in seconds suppose to be? Also, what is the email address for support?——————————————————That’s great news! Awaiting the next update :)
Works great with my iPhone 5. Works like a real kaleidoscope, but it does the turning for you. Has different prism styles, too, that you can select. If you see an image that you really like, you have the advantage of being able to take a picture of it and save it to your devise or email it, etc.

This is a fascinating app and I haven't even yet tried it outside my living room nor using anything colorful as the main subject. I still have to try it on my iPad! Can I give it 6 or 7 stars after that?!
I really like the video loop feature, but I wish it had more control over the speed and direction of the loop. I hope the developers expand this feature. Live video recording would be cool too but you can use screen capture as a workaround
I love the way this app can turn the most mundane objects or textures into rich magic carpet patterns, and the mandala modes can be simply hypnotic. Just discovered how to switch between front and rear cameras (by tapping on the camera image window) and after the initial shock of seeing my face in the whirl, found it very useful. Being able to fine tune the camera image to make it more or less abstract is also good. This could be a very handy tool for those who need repeating patterns for illustration, textiles, etc. Plug it into your HDTV with HDMI cable and you have a great party attraction. Setup so the camera is aimed where people can see their image in the kaleidoscope, and watch what happens.Eager to see what's next for these developers!
I've always loved teleidoscopes and wished there was a way to save images from them. I found this app after getting limited results by taking photos through an old-fashioned teleidoscope using my iPod Touch, and am addicted! It's great for aesthetic indulgence, design inspiration and color appreciation. I do wish there were a 'no-spin' button (completely halting the spinning takes effort) and a 'lock vertical' option for the first 3 mirror configs to make the saved images easier to use for generating repeating tiles. But this app -- the only one I've ever reviewed -- gets 5 stars from me as is.
I love everything about this ... except it needs to allow landscape mode rotation out of HDMI. I love the idea of recordings the output to Blackmagic I/O box but the app remains in Portrait mode. I have an old Kalidascope app the does this automatically, I like your app better for it's speed and richness. please add this simple feature. I would gladly pay a buck to upgrade for that feature. also think the feedback about options menu is a good one. keep up the good work.
It’s a wonderful app I have made hundreds of screensavers with it and beautiful web page background images from sky and clouds tooI, and my photoshop classmates, all use it
Heads up--As soon as you open the app it's on! I tried to slow down the spinning but there are no settings. Then I tried to take a kaleidoscope selfie but it doesn't allow you to flip the camera. Then I wanted to see what some other photos looked like with these effects and I wasn't able to import photos! It is very cool tho when you get it to work :)
