It was fun…
Update 2: Now the daily challenges don’t work at all. Things seem to happen after an iPhone update. Contacted support - not getting my hopes up. Update 1: Daily challenges keep crashing. Takes two tries to get the infinite game to work. Timed game crashes twice and then says I already played. Contacted support twice - no response. Original review: I enjoy this game and it is a good challenge. I wish there was an easier way to remove a cube. I find the double tap very awkward.
Best game but highly distracting animations
This is one of my favorite games ever but this new version has some terribly distracting animations. Changing background color is distracting, but even worse is the submit button and word list that blink in and out of existence with every tap. Am I having a seizure or playing a word game? Please add a setting to disable these, and be kind to your neuroatypical users!
Excellent daily challenge
Spelling Bee, dordle, Wordle, quordle and now ISO. My daily set of word challenges. A beautifully designed, daily challenge. Worth the 4.99 to not so much get rid of their discreet ad but to pay for them for a job well done. Kudos ISO team.
Stop hounding me please
To start off, this game is pretty fun. What’s not fun is getting asked to turn on notifications after EVERY SINGLE GAME. When I say “no”, I expect you to respect that decision. I also love how instead of having ads you put up an unskippable screen saying please pay us money. That is just as bad as putting in ads. It’s really a shame since I’d easily bump my rating up by two stars if I wasn’t constantly annoying me. Just put an unobtrusive banner ad at the bottom of the screen. But I suppose trying to guilt trip you into paying money gets them more profit in the end.
Great New Word Game!
Been playing isowords for a while and have really enjoyed it! I would say if you like Scrabble, the NYTimes spelling bee or Wordscapes you should definitely check it out. It’s a great new interpretation of the format with strategy and features entirely it’s own. The 3D approach really distinguishes it from any other word game you may find.It’s also clear the developers have worked very hard in making the game work well with a clean interface and extremely smooth game play.And the music/effects are just right too!
Addicted
Updating my review to 5 stars because I’m addicted. Suggestion for multiplayer: include some way to communicate with your opponent, such as a graceful forfeit (like tipping your King in chess) or the ability to thank them for playing. Love the daily Unlimited game.
Great game but needs refinement
I love this game, it’s one of the best word games I’ve come across (and my genre is word games). I have had a few issues with it though that continue to bother me, mostly relating to the multiplayer feature.1. I’ve invited friends who then play the game, but there’s no way to connect with your friends and play against them unless you happen to get randomly paired.2. It never tells you who has won a multiplayer game, and it keeps happening where I will start multiplayer games and then next time I log in they’re just gone, even though the game wasn’t close to being finished, but no notification saying I’ve won or lost. 3. I am matched with the same player “BJDplaya” over and over again, and it’s clear this player has just created an endless stream of multiplayer games. I would like to play against more than this particular person and don’t like that they spam the multiplayer game queue in this way. 4. The only multiplayer games I’ve played that weren’t against this particular player have stalled after only a couple turns, and it seems like that player won’t return to the app. I think there should be a set amount of time after which the game is forfeit if you’ve been inactive, maybe a week. Love this game and look forward to improvements!
The game is great, the crashing is annoying
I really enjoy the game, and play the daily events often, but every time I start a daily event, the app crashes (immediately goes back to the Home Screen).For the untimed event, this isn’t too big of an issue, because I can just restart the app and solve the puzzle.I just found out today that the timed one is unplayable. When you tap on it, the game crashes, and when I return, it says that I’ve already played (even though I never saw the board).I’ve tried to write the developers directly, but no luck so far.I’d try to uninstall and reinstall the app, but I’m afraid I’ll lose my history & stats, which would not make me very happy.

Great Game, quite challenging! There are many different ways to play this game, and if you are not into playing a Timed Board or an Unlimited Time Board, you can still play One on One with friends and instant challengers! It’s definitely a brain workout!

Thank you for making this a thing. I’m a huge fan of point free and this project has been really inspiring. The only issue I’ve had with this is that the timer starts and then the cube loads. This takes ~2 seconds so when I play a timed game I lose out on those seconds. Not that I’d perform any better.. this game is hard. But I love it! 💯
