Pentair needs to fire their UX designer. This app looks like it was made for the Iphone3 in 2009 and never updated since. Constant disconnection issues and the need to log in repeatedly. And you can forget about fingerprint or facial ID for logging in - that’s way too cutting edge for Pentair. And do they even care? Apparently not. There’s so many 1 star reviews on here without a single developer response.
The app is buggy as heck. If I navigate away from this app or let the screen lock, I have to re-login. Otherwise, it will not save my changes. It lets me think that my changes are saved, but they’re not. Unfortunately it’s the only thing there is to control the pool system. How can anyone make an app this bad?
Intellicenter-Time to make some improvements, download the app and try it yourself for a few days. Pentair should be ashamed, No face log in or auto log in, takes too long to log in, times out all the time. Feels like your back in the 90s with no high speed internet…geez
We are having the worst time with this app! We thought it would be wonderful to have a fully automated system for the pool in our short term rental. It’s awful! Locks up, confusing interface, and NOW the app on my Apple products keeps kicking me out saying we are in service mode. However the app on a droid appears to be working. Ugh! Please please please work on the bugs asap!
UI is terrible, constant logging in, intermittent connections, no quality testing. What more do you need? It’s a shame they cut corners on the app development for an expensive piece of equipment. Guess I’ll just call them every time I have an issue. I’m sure that’s cheaper than getting it right.
If I could rate this app a zero I would. Mine crashes every 15 seconds and I have to close the app and login again. On top of that, the app is ugly and the navigation is unnecessarily complex. Whoever designed it t clearly had no idea what they are doing. A remote Control app for a pool could be really incredible, but this one is complete crap.
The user interface is pretty horrible. Multi-step sign-on gets you to a weirdly disjointed layout with poorly chosen colors, and outdated app design style. I’m a little surprised Apple even approved this for the App Store. Not real happy after spending $4k for a new Intellicenter. If this was designed in-house, Pentair needs outside help.
The UI needs work. It’s difficult to get things you want done. The history graphs can’t be made for custom dates. It only allows you to view a single point at midnight of the first day you pick. QA needs to go through the features and actually get the developers to fix the half-implemented stuff in the app. Would really like this app if it worked as intended.
This is waaaay worse than the Screen Logic app. You would think if someone is using a 10aux system, they might be your more affluent customers who are accustomed to a higher standard. Nope. Get ready to deal with anger and frustration over a very expensive system. This app times out all the time, when I can even get it to connect. C’mon guys. Nothing worse than trying to show off your pool’s capabilities and having to say, “hopefully it connects, third times the charm.” :-/
I just bought the latest and greatest Pentair Automated pool pump system with application. The app was set up on my phone one week ago and less than one week later it stopped working and both my phone and my wife’s phone. When it works it’s very simple to use. I’m now waiting for my pool guy to come back to my house to set up the app again. By the way I deleted the app and then reinstalled it that did not fix the problem. Not a great way to start a relationship with Pentair.
