Doesn’t Work With Polar HRMs

I have a Polar H7, which all my other heart rate apps seem to have no trouble with. This app can’t see it for some weird reason. The “info” says to “wet the sensors”. Well, I’m not rolling out of the rack to drop a bunch of cold water all over my chest, thanks. It’s a shame, the GUI is awesome but the product just doesn’t work.

Works well

This easily picked up my Polar Bluetooth sensor and provided my HRV. I didn't know what the info meant, ie is a higher or lower number better (higher). A little coaching or info would give it 5 stars. Thanks

Perfect tool for monitoring workout stress

I have tried a few of the HRV apps to help me evaluate my workouts. This works flawlessly and only requires a compatible BT Polar HR. It's simple to use with options to select time and export data. This is the app I like the best!

It works

Clean interface, pairs quickly with my Polar H7. Doesn't hold your information hostage so you need a subscription to access it. If you are having problems pairing, just dampen the sensors

Brilliantly simple

I’ve been searching for an HRV app like this for a long time with no success. This is exactly what I was looking for. All I wanted to do was to use my Polar H10 heart rate strap to measure my HRV and HR while I am sleeping. I don’t want any pep talks or recovery scores or anything like that, just the data — average HR, average HRV, average RMSSD. This is perfect! Thank you so much to the developer for creating this app. I’m not able to contact the developer here but my question is, I assume the HRV metric shown above RMSSD is SDNN?

Works great!

I use it with the polar H7 (I think) and it works great. Got to be thorough when wetting sensors. I like the basic controls and easy to read graph. Thanks bro!

It was good, but stopped working

Used it a lot, no complaints, but after getting iOS 8 it no longer connects to my polar h7. RunKeeper still connects to it though, so it's not a phone issue.

Simple and easy to use

HRV+ Connected on the first try with my Jarv BT monitor. Get your music or podcast app running first, then start HRV and you can listen while you work out and monitor your heart rate.A nice enhancement would be to plot an exercise session by the second.

Description

Requires a Polar H6/H7/H10 HRM monitor, although it may work with other BLE Bluetooth HRM monitors. Heart Rate Variability (HRV) is a great indicator of what is going on inside your body. It's a measurement of how well the mind can slow heart rate (HR), which is an indicator of overall health and stress.

In general, better health is indicated using HRV when there is more variability from an in-breath (HR speeding up) to an out-breath (HR slowing down). A simple one-minute measurement each day can be enough to predict when it is time to take it easy, to avoid sickness or injury. This application has some nice features like export RAW RR files for Kubios testing as well as unlimited time testing if you would like to perform other types of HRV tests. Additionally, you can export all data including RR files to DropBox.
