WAY to much ads

the game is really fun and i knew i would like it and all but can i know why to may ads? i LITERALLY couldn’t finish a match coz of of the ads. am giving it 2 stare, the game is cool but instead of making me feel relaxed or joyed it made me feel angry even though I’m not a person who gets angry out of anything, i tryed to keep my cool and gave it alot of chances but i just couldn’t. this is my first time ever to give a review on a game and that’s coz this game is really good and i like it so am here wish that the ads problem get fixed that way the game will get more players then it has now

Was better before it was updated

Game was way better before honestly I’d give 5 stars if you hadn't updated as I no longer can play against other ppl it’s just the computer levels super lame. That was the best part. Also the ads are way over the top now, they used to be like every other game maybe even every game however now they are even during the matches. I’m get it you have to make money off adds but At the very least bring back being able to battle other players especially since I can still see a leaderboard…

Big in new version

But in new version where when you land on a chest that gives you gems, it adds them to the coins only and doesn’t give you the gems. Extremely annoying as they are so difficult to get in the first place. Also the adds are very annoying. It used to be after every other game which is more than understandable. Now they are during games. Awful negative player experience. I recommend changing it back. And $8 to remove ads? Maybe if you put new maps in and vary the difficulty of the opponents. I would only pay $1, maybe $2 to remove ads. The game play is good but the levels repeat every 15 or 20ish. The customizations also don’t match the ad that enticed me to download it. The ad showed chess pieces but they are nowhere to be found. I hate when companies market one thing and deliver something completely different.

Best game to pass time I’ve found in a while.. but…

Love this game! Not too hard but challenging enough to make you think. If you could set difficulty so every level has the same amount of difficulty as boss levels or at least a little more challenge it would be much more enjoyable. Sometimes I feel like I can predict when the bots are just jumping to make the game drag out longer. PVP is good but some maps make it impossible to win based on turn cycle or map layout. This game has so much potential! Also the ads are ridiculous and I would definitely pay $2-$5 to have them removed but I’d rather not play than give you 8 dollars to make a free game enjoyable. Please consider <3

Fake

The coin system is a lie. You earn them but keep mysteriously ending up at -$2000 and unable to buy anything despite much progress. You play for a couple hours straight and get it down to -$1000. You exit the game. You come back hours later and it is mysteriously -$2000 again. The purple gems are so rare as to be meaningless. Every time you get a “lost and found” where you watch a video for a prize, lo and beyond this particular ad will have a glitch so it eventually gets stuck, you have to reboot the game and you lose the prize (but you saw the ad, so they got paid). Ads interrupt the game constantly, usually just when an opponent did something stupid and your finger is plunging to the screen, clearly the hope is you’ll accidentally click through on the ad so the developer gets paid more. Opponents will frequently make moves which drag out the game length rather than seek victory; more time for yet another ad to pop up. Do not bother with this game.

Great game but lots of nothing

I’m almost 200 lvls in if that tells you anything but it’s too easy. It’s like it wants you to hurry up and win so you can watch the adds. The bosses are the only ones I have trouble with on the first try. I 100% nearly half the maps and get all but 1 or 2 on several more. The gems and coins buy skins and tiles but the points do nothing. You get all of these points for tiles and there is no running tally and nothing to do with them. There is a “selected difficulty” but nowhere to actually “select” a difficulty (it’s random and not noticeably different) and there is a list where you can select different things like “fluffy bull” and “angry fish” but it doesn’t explain what they are for. Is this the Beta version?

This was my favorite game on the app store

I loved this game when I got it, and enjoyed the pvp extensively. The newest update changed that. First it came with severe bugs that could often end matches, forcing your rank to suffer as you left he match. There is also a ton of maps than can be cheesed by players or are best for players who are in a certain position in the turn order. One egregious example has a small land bridge that whoever moves first can immediately move a piece onto so they win. Also, the new randomized shop is a bad idea. It never seems to have anything I don't already own and has just kept me from getting the things I want that I used to have easy access to purchasing. It's unfortunate that the game is in this state, but I am deleting this app now.

Invasive ads

Originally I would have given this game 5 stars. It’s a fun game to play. I understand the need for ads, and appreciated that this game didn’t have ads in between every single level. However recently, in the middle of a game they started showing repeated ads, and then after almost every game ask if you want to purchase the ad free version for 7.99 (a ridiculous price). It’s about 30-45 seconds of game play then 15-30 second ads, to push you to purchase the ad free version. That’s not fair or fun, and I don’t appreciate this. If it was 3.99 or even 4.99 I strongly would have considered purchasing it because I like this game, but especially after the ads became more invasive to annoy you into doing it for 7.99, no I will never do that.

OMG ads

So I’ll start by saying I very much enjoy this game. It’s a very fun little strategy game and I enjoy that it has both offline and multiplayer options. Occasionally it will put you into a multiplayer map where you can be beaten without ever getting a turn which can be pretty frustrating. The one thing driving me nuts right now is the ads. I get that a free game needs to make money and I’m fine watching ads between rounds, but they recently started stopping the game in the middle of a round to play an ad. Mind you rounds usually only last maybe 2 minutes tops. And once this happens the game suddenly starts to get super laggy and will inevitably need to be shut down and started back up. Please please please just make the ads between rounds. It’s starting to make the game unplayable.

Impossible to play with trackers disabled

I use a VPN to block trackers. Among other things, this disables ads. Almost every other game with ads just shows a blank spot where the ad would go, and the gameplay is unaffected. In this game, (1) the score tallying after every match and (2) your standings in the leaderboards also appear to be dependent on trackers, because I have to close and reopen the app every time either of those appears. All the other reviews are saying the ads are ridiculous.It’s clear this app is (or at least has become) a money grab, and the gameplay is just a tool to keep people in the app so they’ll tap on ads. The gameplay, and thus an enjoyable user experience, should be top priority, and the revenue generators should just be to support the developers who are there to create an amazing experience.This game is very much not that.

Welcome Hex Warriors! Hex Takeover is a turned-based strategy game played on different hexagonal boards. The objective is simple: conquer the most tiles to win.

How To Play: During your turn tap on any of your tiles to chose your next move. Tiles can be cloned to adjacent spaces or they can jump to further spaces. Landing near opponent tiles will convert their tiles into yours! Cloning and Jumping have different implications on your strategy.
