Super solid product and performance!
Love this product, have them in both my house and vacation home. Supper solid performance and relatability! Even with multiple extended power outages and other power related issues, these devices always came back up in the state they were when the power went out. Integrates great with google home as well. Recommend them to anyone.
Devices and App Work Great
I am using the Gi Smart App on my iPhone and I really like it. I communicate with my devices over my 5G WiFi wireless home network to 6 Gosund smart plugs. This App is super easy to use and allows me to manually turn connected devices on and off as well as to set up simple or complex schedules for daily automated control. The App provides the ability to name all the smart plugs and to name each entry in the timing schedule. I highly recommend this “Go Smart” app.
Life Changer!!!
These smart plugs and app are incredible!!! Perfect for Christmas lights!!! The schedule feature is wonderful!! Once programmed (which is super easy), no need to do a thing. The lights turn on and off all on their own. These plugs are so useful throughout the home, both inside and outside. We use them all year round for patio lights, curling iron and lamps!!! You can turn any plug on or off even when miles away with just one touch using the app. Highly recommend to everyone!!!
Needs more features
It’s a great app that works perfectly for simply turning on and off my lights. But I feel like a few more extra features would make the app and lights so much better. One thing that could be added is being able to control the lights within the shortcuts app so NFC tags could be used. Also maybe a bit more customization in the automation and scenes. Other than that the app is great.
Issues with ability to see programmed schedule
The product is great. The programming is not very intuitive. It’s weird to “create a schedule” for an on and off time separately.We also lost our schedules this weekend, even though our programmed lites continued to go on and off as we programmed them, we could not see or change the schedule as it could not be seen. We had to recreate all of them. It was very odd
Easy to setup -Great plugs!
I bought a set of 4 plugs for Halloween and Christmas deco. They are amazing! I can turn on/off the lights within my mobile, or set a timer to accomplish the same automatically. Best part is that I can switch the lights even if I’m out of my home (work or vacation). I didn’t have any issues setting them up. I’ll buy another set for some lamps. I only wish there were ‘exterior plugs’ available so I can set my garden lights as well.
iOS 15.0.2
I’ve been having issues with scheduled on/off timers since updating from iOS 14 to 15.0.2 on my iPhone XR. My schedule settings were changed (one out of five scheduled on/offs was changed to a time 30 minutes different than it originally was) and the device will randomly turn a light on for me outside any time I scheduled it to be turned on or off. When going in and setting manual “once” on/off timers, sometimes they work, other times they don’t. I’ve unplugged the devices and plugged them back in to see if that would help with something but it hasn’t fixed the issue. I haven’t completely remade my regular timer schedules but if the issues persist, that will be the next thing I’ll try.
Overall easy to setup and use
Overall easy to setup and use. It’s perfect when it’s working. Only problem I have is every now and then and for no apparent reason, the schedules I had set up seen to disappear. They are still there and still turn on an off the appliance, but I can’t actually see or view the schedule to modify or delete them. I have to completely remove the plug itself and then re-add it back in. Very frustrating.
Changing On/off settings problematic
Generally easy to setup, changing times for on/off settings is frustrating. Initial setup worked fine. Then daylight savings time changed and I reset “on” time to an earlier time. That worked fine, but then I found out that the original “on” time did not get deleted, even though I have deleted it many times. Seems like the old “on/off” settings don’t get properly wiped out even though they don’t appear in the “event schedule” listing. Completely resetting the device doesn’t appear to work.
One common problem
HOW do you get it to go back online once it goes offline while everything else is still connected and functioning??? There’s no way to reset the device. All you learn is that the device is offline which you already knew because it wasn’t working. For example. I say, “Alexa, turn on the corner lamp.” Alexa responds by saying, “The corner lamp is not responding. Try going to your settings and make sure you’re connected to your network.”Okay. I am connected to the network; everything else is working and upon going to the setting for the corner lamp you see the same thing. That being an icon for a light bulb and the written notice, “The device is offline.”There’s no way to reset a it. Very frustrating. Besides that it’s a pretty great app.
