Excellent—sorta

Am I the only user for whom the app frequently freezes?The app also frequently cuts off my streaming audio. Am I the only user who has a podcast or ballgame on when I’m unjumbling?Having said that, the premise of the game is fun and engaging, even if the app thinks the main city of a state is its “capital.”.I have every intention of spending $2 to remove the ads—once the freezing ceases—but I gotta confess I’ll reallllly miss the ad for the spot remover with the lady who thought the spots were “freakles.”So please lemme know if you’re having issues with the app freezing and/or cutting off your streaming audio!

If You Like Word Games, You'll Love This Game

Jumble Crossword is just as fun as Just Jumble, but it's different enough that you can play both games back-to-back without feeling like you're playing the same game. Also, the app experience is much smoother than the original Jumble Crossword from years ago. There are a ton of pop-ups (usually for coins and challenges), but no long, obtrusive ads. Download this app if you like word games; you won't be disappointed.

Never knew I could have fun thinking!

Each day you have to unscramble a simple word and you get points for it. You can use these points to buy hints. Each game gives you points. Different levels and lots of fun. This is my all-time favorite game. I get to choose the difficulty and I get to relax and get lost in the game. If you like to be challenged and you want to use your brain on a different type of game, then this is the game for you!

I love all their games!

I've been playing their games for years now. I love them and I grew up doing the jumbles with my mom in the newspaper. So much nostalgia! My mom and I are both word puzzle fanatics. I highly recommend this game and to try all the others they have made. They keep my mind sharp and I love a good word challenge. Keep updating and adding more puzzles. You guys are the best! Thank you for all you do!

Enjoy the game

I do enjoy the came, and most always find it challenging.However, it is also frustrating. I paid the fee for no ads, but still get ads! My account was charged for the $1.99. To add insult to injury, I still get the ‘AdFree’ notices. And, the dadgum puzzle ads freeze very often and I can’t get out of them to get back to my Jumble puzzle. Most of the time I have to turn off the pad to get out out of the ad.

“M” needs fixed

I paid twice now for the correct final answer to category M, which is Liverpool. The puzzle identified Liverpool as the answer both times and filled it in automatically, but won’t accept it as the answer. Won’t accept it either if I type it in. The rest of the letter categories work ok. I’ve been waiting for months for this to fix so I guess the developer doesn’t read his reviews. I really like the puzzles but don’t care much for the final question, but that’s personal preference.

Fun Game, Needs Work

For starters, there is no cloud sync. So, playing on one device does not sync it with other devices. Results on one device are not tallied on another. If you play the game on multiple devices expect to play the same puzzles again and again. A lot of the word clues are repetitive. Nor are the clues interesting, like the NYT cRosswords. In fact, most clues are merely synonyms for the answer. The hardest levels are not that difficult, and there are an insufficient number of puzzles. However, for a couple of bucks, it’s a good way to waste some time.

Challenging!

The Giant Jumble Crossword game is challenging and fun for all knowledge levels "J-E" . It's not too hard but not too easy, it's just enough! I especially like the variety of layers of puzzles within each puzzle/game. I have finished all levels and have started over again at "J" and have accumulated almost 500,000 coins. If you like challenges, and if you like puzzles, you must try these.

A Challenge

My previous review (below) is amended. The programmers got rid of the glitch and added more puzzles. I really get caught when they use clues with two meanings (makes me think!) like wound which could be an injury or a coil. Good job! I also have not seen the ad I disliked recently. Thanks!I have several of David Hoyt’s games and really like them. The Jumble Crossword game has a few problems. The first one is that you do not always get the clues for the word to put into the grid. At least half the time I have to go back and re-pick the puzzle in order to get the clue word. It is a bother but easily done. Today I got the initial “bonus” word at the beginning but the app did not accept it. I reversed the two letter i’s and the app still didn’t accept it. I skipped the bonus word and it gave me the exact word I had put in several times. The last problem is a personal choice and just an exception. There is one game ad that features a war game with destroying tanks etc. I think the violence is in poor taste for this day and age. I thank Mr Hoyt for his other games. They are great! The programmers do a great job on them. Jumble Crossword does not meet the bar they set.

I’m addicted to Jumble Crosswords! I don’t know how it happened but it has! And now I’m running out of puzzles! I only play two a day hoping I can put off a time when l’ve run out!
