Phenomenal meditations. Except when it crashes.

The only thing I would change about this great app, would be to make it stop crashing so much. There’s nothing worse than being mid-meditation, and then poof! App needs to restart. Honestly, though. Fantastic app otherwise. Please fix soon.

Not what I was looking for

I wasn’t looking for guided meditations, but I liked the idea of seeing progress, and the review that said this one is for people who like to understand the why of things.The app explains some ideas behind each guided meditation, but definitely not most (I wonder if even half do). Without that, these aren’t really doing much for me. And the progress is just a few simple questions that don’t feel like they truly assess my progress. I paid for the year, so I do them every once in a while, but, it’s really meh for me. Also, about the voice; it isn’t distracting, but it seems like a very staged voice, which isn’t the most ideal. I like where this app is going with the voice, but they missed the mark.

Day one (FitMind and Calm user as well)

I already love this! Please do the 7-day free trial and remember, you can always cancel via Apple ID in the settings -> subscription.This app so far on the first day is amazing! This app covers the weaknesses of both Calm and the FitMind (which I’m a premium annual user for both of those btw).The weaknesses being that Calm has a Netflix style of meditations, soundscapes, sleep stories and masterclasses that go deeper into meditation.The problem however is relative to the FitMind app, it for the most part (with the exception of the Masterclass and breathing exercises) does not have guided classes focusing solely on meditation/focus.That is where the FitMind comes in, where it has a 30-day program, along with additional classes with the intention of improving your focus, mindfulness, awareness, emotional control, etc.Where Flow Lab (so far, I’ve only done two sessions right now) is better than FitMind is first it has gamification built into it that tracks your performance and it has follow-up questions so the classes are more personalized for you the individual.This personalization is what I have been looking for since under these topics:FocusEaseMindfulnessEmotional stabilityEtc.I was not sure what I should focus on, until Flow Lab came into the picture here and put quantification into this.

Most accessible gamified meditation app

I ran into FlowLabs while researching meditation apps to help calm my frantic brain. I evaluated both this and FitMind, and I find FlowLabs to be more accessible. The gamification is excellent and helps reinforce healthy habits. The narrator really shines in your sessions — I found FitMind’s to be more “mechanical” if that makes any sense, whereas Flow feels more like an actual guide.For the actual results, I’ve been using Flow for at least 5x a week for 4 months and can say that every mental aspect of my life has improved. I can absolutely focus better, I find myself managing tough situations more easily, and I generally feel happier than I have in the past.Like with anything, you get what you put in, so YMMV, but I found that committing to a regular regiment with Flow has been a force multiplier in my life. Highly recommend it.

Take time to chill

This app helps out a lot with my worried mind and stuff that really makes me feel uneasy. I do think it will help if any one has stress in the day. Take and use this and it also has types of areas that can help you with your stress. Smart meditation is what this app should be called.

Mental optimization

I’m the kind of person that likes to know WHY I should do something; I don’t like to just be told what to do. This app does a great job EXPLAINING the theory behind the training sessions and gives a great primer on the Flow. Whoever designed it was certainly passionate about building a solid mental foundation and this app helps you to do just that. Highly recommend

Best app I’ve had for self improvement

I love this app. It helps me get centered to start my day or start work. Only thing I would say that I need to do is use it everyday. I tend to forget and have a stressful or horrible day when sometimes just taking the time out to meditate can change that or help.

Great for self-improvement and mindfulness

Discovered this app a few weeks ago and was able to build a strong daily habit right away. Especially because of the very intuitive weekly schedule and the personalized content. I would say definitely give it a try if you’re looking to improve your mental fitness!

wow, absolutely worth it — be consistent and you’ll see the benefits

The exercises and visualizations in this app have been absolutely life changing. I can’t say enough good things about how this has helped my mental health and overall well being. It’s so tailored to my needs that it’s almost spooky. Prime example, in my morning journal entry today I started to unpack that somewhere along the line my self talk became quite negative, and the recommended exercise today was one called “Best Friend”… it was exactly what I needed. I find the exercises far more useful than mindfulness exercises in apps like Headspace or Hello Mind, coupled breath work this app is 100% worth it.

Still having trouble focusing - day 1

I just started using the app today and I was very excited to get started. The assessment stated that my area of most needed improvement is focus. Upon opening the first “lesson” I was immediately distracted by the sound of a man’s voice. I’ve listened to a lot of romance novels and this man sounds like he is one of the main characters. So now I’m the opposite of focused. I don’t know how I’m going to listen to this man without thinking about inappropriate topics. First thing he says we are going to “dive deeper”…. can I switch to a women’s voice or something?!
