Useless and frustrating

I purchased the lightning digital AV adapter to be able to view my iPad content onto my Sony TV. Once I followed the directions and connected everything I get a message to download this app to make the dongle work so I do. Unfortunately, after trying repeatedly to get the system functioning I finally resort to reading all of the fine print with the app and it requires that the iPad and TV be on the same network. My TV is hardwired to my router while my iPad is on a wireless signal, this is why I needed the adapter in the first place and didn’t just go with a screen casting app in the first place. That I was forced to download a useless app after purchasing a product that was supposed to bypass that very issue is beyond frustrating

Doesn’t work

Bought an HDMI adapter to watch Netflix on a hotel TVs while traveling. I tried it on 10 different TVs in 10 hotels. It did not work on a single one. Not user friendly at all. No directions. Found out it wanted me to download an app through trial and error - just to find out the app doesn’t work either. It puts a picture of what is on your phone on the TV and that’s it - and that picture never goes away, even though video is playing on the phone or iPad. Unplugged everything to start over - same picture is stuck and won’t go away.

It’s not working

I just bought the device I had one before but had to get a new one and it’s not working for my phone at all and I don’t know how to upgrade it or fix it I have iOS 11 I think it has something to do with that but I didn’t buy this just not to use it for its purpose I need some serious help or I want my money backThe problem is when I connect it said trust computer I hit it and nothing happens I tried turning my phone off and back on and nothing still the trust computer part didn’t even pop up any more and it won’t let me upgrade to the newer firmware version for the device my phone won’t pick it up

EZCast Miraline

Have had miraline for a few months now, was able to mirror the screen of my phone to the five a few times then all of a sudden the screen would not connect but the sound would. I researched and found that my dongle needed updated through the app so I did. Now my phone will not even connect at all. I have researched and tried many different things to try to get it to work and nothing has come of this effort. I’m very disappointed. Many hours have been wasted trying to get this to work. This has been an extremely frustrating experience!

Give it time

When I first opened the app, it showed a picture of my screen that didn’t move, then asked me to connect to a hotspot. The hotspot never showed up, so I unplugged my phone but left the dongle plugged in to sit while I did other things. When I came back, I reopened the app, where I got an update notice. This update is what allows the dongle to work, and after it updated everything worked perfectly. It lost a star for requiring the time, but other than that there’s no problems and it works fast.

It’s not working for iPhone 6s Plus

The app EZCast is still at 85% of my process request. The connect option isn’t doin anything on the EZCast; it’s not connecting the device to the tv. I bought the Miraplug and download the app EZCast and it is not working for my iPhone 6s Plus. The “trust the computer” sign does not pop up. When I connect the MiraPlug to my phone, it’s just charging my phone. The app is no help. The MiraPlug device is not working at all, I’m just really disappointed that I bought the MiraPlug and downloaded the app EZCast and did nothing/ not working for my phone. I really wish it did work because I would love to use the product and the app too.

Why go through all this trouble for a mirroring device

I don’t understand why i have to buy an app from a third party company to use what looks to be an apple product in appearance. And the “best part” is i bought this product and app used all the methods they provided for assistance and it still doesn't work. All i got was the same thing and that was the trust this device pop up option and then nothing happened after that. And i also trying to stream a video and its not working it just buffers and then pops up a notification saying “unable to load this content.” I am going to stop wasting my time with this adapter and this app and just buy Apple tv and avoid the hassle.

BEST Casting App Available

I’ve tried VIRTUALLY EVERY ios casting app that exists (independent of vendor’s hardware dongles).... EZ Cast is by far the best AND easiest to use I’ve used.... period. I’m currently using it with Chromecast. Works beautifully, & offers LOTS more features than Google’s own Chromecast app. I had no luck trying to update the firmware on the wired HDMI dongle that came with my projector (I suspect not EZ Cast’s problem), so as a long shot, I thought I’d try it with Chromecast and WOW!!

SCAM!

It all started with a piece of hardware named MiraScreen Wire. You connect it up and it does nothing. There’s a hidden button to press that does nothing (blank TV screen). The sloppy instruction “booklet” then refers to EZCast. Ok, downloaded that from the Apple store. Still nothing. And then updated the firmware, which provided yet ANOTHER product name: MiraPlug. Then, the app talks about a whole range of products, none of which look like or are named MiraScreen! And it directs you to many videos and “forum” posts— again, none of them are useable AT ALL!All I got from this crap was a blank TV screen and frustration. Can we sue this guy, Henry Chou, whose name appears as moderator of the forums? Or maybe we should sue the developer, Chih Yang Chen? Because, this is a......SCAM!

***Update- It’s working!

The iPhone connection end was loose and would intermittently charge, the adapter would bring up the picture but no audio. Sending this back. Guess I’ll have to pay the extra dollars to buy the real Apple device. ***Got an email, I followed directions and now it works. 4 stars because it shouldn’t need an update right out of the package. Thanks for the quick response.
