Annoying
Ever since the update I am using the phone the check my balance so much there’s no point in having the app. I put in the same information everytime I use the app and it tells me it can’t figure out the information provided. Idk why you changed the sign in settling a either. To make security better? We use an email and password now. It was safer when we had to use our ss# no logic. This app is not helpful anymore it is a headache.
Make the app better and easier to login
Ever since the new update this year now requiring you to put in your email and password it’s annoying and is not like any other apps that are out in 2023. We should be able to use our face to open up the app or fingerprint and not have to type an email and password every single time. Or at the very least give us an option to save our email and password so it will remember it when we go to log in. Saves a lot of time especially when your in line trying to buy groceries and you have to check quick what your balance is - it’s just not as easy as it should be especially that we’re living in 2023 - it’s almost how all major apps operate. One other thing that would be a huge improvement would be allowing us to see what money is going out and where it’s being spent at. Should be able to see all your transactions just as you would on a debit or credit card. That would help people and family’s manage there money better if they saw were it was actually going. Please take these things into consideration. They are very small and reasonable changes that should be easy enough to make happen on DTA’s end. Thanks
Login concerns
I have used this app with no issues for a few months, but today, the day i write this review I literally logged in to the wrong persons account at complete random, and it shows me their balance and information. I do not know if this was a glitch, or I accidentally entered the wrong social and they just happened to have the same date of birth, regardless perhapse a 4 digit pin or something could help prevent issues like this from occurring.
CHANGES TO APP ARE TERRIBLE!!!
I have been using this app for years & have never had a problem. Now the app is changed & supposedly better for us but for me it’s been totally worse. I cannot sign in at all. I put my social security # in then my date of birth & absolutely nothing happens. I’ve tried at least 50 times. Sometimes things are better left alone. If it’s not broke-don’t fix it. I have no idea what to do. It’s definitely gonna be a pain in the neck to have to call the toll free # on the back of the card to get my balance. I feel like we’re back in 1950. Plz fix the problem.
Logged me into someone else’s account?!?!
A while back I opened the app to check my status for SNAP benefits and when I opened it the app logged me into someone else’s account. My main concern is privacy , I was logged into someone else’s account without doing anything , lots of important documents are uploaded to this app including social security numbers ,addresses, bills and other things . This is insanely unsafe considering that the app just LOGGED me in to someone else’s account , it makes me question how safe my information is on here .
“We are experiencing technical difficulties”
Sounds like state needs to invest in more tech help. I have used this app for years. Never a problem. For the past few months I have not been able to login at all. Zero. My app is up to date as is my OS, no issues with any other apps. At first I thought the site was down so I would try occasionally but it never allows me to login. Always says “ We are experiencing technical difficulties. Please try again later”
Unreliable app
When it first was introduced it worked great…but since this new update, and the new login username/password implant, it’s impossible to even login! the only thing that makes it useful now is being able to upload documents they need so you don’t have to spend all day waiting at the office! It’s so unreliable the past month, it’s insane…i even somehow was logged into some 67 yr old man’s account out of nowhere using my info, I was able to see all his information and I was appalled!!! Contacted them and no response about it 🤷🏼♀️ I haven’t been able to even log in for over 3 weeks because Error “we are experiencing technical difficulties, try again later” smh…when I’m waiting in line at checkout, I do not find it convenient to call the number on the back of the card, type in long numbers ect etc, I have major anxiety to begin with after going grocery shopping lol
Works but privacy concerns...
Update: Recent update not only didnt add anything new or security for log in, but it downgraded the app. It use to work in landscape mode on ipad and now it doesnt, and the layout is bigger and bulkier, it looks like one of those old apps now. I dont understand why anyone would downgrade app features like this. Please fix it and please add security pin for log in as mentioned below.Prev review: I really do love this app, it works great and makes things so much easier, my only concern and its becoming a big one is how unsecure the log in is, it only needs your social and birth year wich in my case my ex husband knows both and he and his girlfriend log on and see all my personal info, letters sent, ect....I really cant believe they dont let you set up a pin or password for this app. There is no way to safegaurd your privacy because the only 2 things you need to log in are things that can not be changed. They need to add a password or pin to make this secure. That is the only thing keeping this from a 5 star review to me. I have not had any of the other issues others have mentioned. Thankyou and please please consider adding a password to the log in! It is very important. Michelle
It worked for me
Not sure why this app has been giving other folks problems. I downloaded it, took pictures for the upcoming certification and 2 days later everything was processed and done. I like that it’s super easy and gives me the current status of my case so I’m not waiting around wondering if they have received my stuff or not. Definitely my go-to method for submitting forms in the future.

I jus got so much trouble since the update of this app, it’s crazy stupid login in errors and it must be vertically viewed now what is worse called on phone was on hold 45mins a live person picks up says hold on please as she disconnects my call and now office is closed! Mailed my resort to Chelsea DTA 2weeks latter p.o. stamped not accepted! Re mailed to Taunton DTA 2 was latter still got nothing! Uploaded as it states not too do! Jus how messed up is the state of MA ? People count on the workings of our state this is very upsetting for needy folks and I feel so sorry that many are worse off than we know of!
