Unfair rating system
Extremely unfair book rating system, some books receive all 5-star comments but the final score turned out to be 7.8, never seems to figure that out..Some books receive only one negative comment, the final score turned out to be 7.0, how is that justice?!
Nice reading experience. BUT inconvenient
I have used this app for reading six books. I was very pleased at the beginning regarding to everything about this software. But recently whenever I opened it, it has to just to the douban original works section, instead of the book page I recently read. It was not like this before. I don’t oppose for original book written by douban user, instead I sometimes read couple of pages. However, it was really not my expectation for this app. Douban can go with it, and I believe it will help for improving the community, but I hope in the later version, I can have a choice.
The best reading tool
I have been using this app for a few years. I always could find a wonderful book to read or the books that inspired me by many ways. Unlike other reading tools filled with trashy books and useless information. This app will give you a mini library that you could carry with you and give you a little peace from your work and your school. The only thing I was kind of upset that I couldn’t print anything from the books that I already paid for it. But it’s not a big issue for me. I still love this app so much. Thank you. Hope you guys the best.
A good app for reading. Hope it can be better.
Generally speaking, this app is good. There are abundant Chinese book resources (especially published ones) on it. And I enjoy reading comments on a certain paragraph from other people, which helps me learn how others think about it, and deepen my own understanding. It would be better if multiple pages an be shown at the same time, as on Kindle. This can provide some “sense of safety” for readers, especially for those who have gotten used to paper books, have the habit of going through several pages and estimating how much is left in the chapter visually.
Best reading app ever
A huge collection of books in Chinese (including Douban’s self-publishing books that are only available in this platform), good design, the ability to keep notes and read other people’s notes, well-synced with the website for writing book reviews etc. I can’t do without it.
Mostly good user experience
Occasionally it crashes, works fine after reboot. The notes function seems a bit fuzzy. The same notes icon appear over and over on the same page.
When will the reader function be off-line available?
The reading-out mode always function weirdly even when the internet connection is on. Is it possible that the package of different readers be offline available——so that when the internet is off, there is unnecessary error ; or when in-flight, listening to the book can still be a choice.
Crashes so often...
Very clean and user-friendly. However, it started to crash so often when I started using it on my new iPad a few days ago (all other apps were fine on my iPad). Also noticed that using this app drains the battery so quickly. Would be wonderful if it can allow the screen to auto lock after a few minutes when not using, just like other reading apps.
Best reading app for Chinese books
I’ve read so many more books since I discovered this app last year! Loving everything about it! It would be nice if it can be linked to the book reviews in Douban!
