A big issue I’m facing

I love the game and everything but this 1 issue I keep facing is the reason why I’m only giving it 2stars. The other day I got a boss raid in the world map exploration and for whatever reason, I can’t participate in it or any other raid at all. Whenever I try to play it, it loads for awhile then my whole game crashes. Even when I shut down my phone or completely log out of my account and log back in, the game still proceeds to crash and I have to end up waiting for however long just to be able to log back in. Idk if this is happening to anyone else or not but if there’s a way to fix this, please let me know.

BE CAREFUL WITH UPDATES

Unfortunately, I had a huge problem that made me quit the game while I was enjoying the game itself. Several events were taking place recently until June the 17th, which it clearly stated. I was nearly finished with all activities just lacked some time objectives that would’ve take an hour or 2 at most, and the game updated a day early. Now, I figured this was a Time difference issue, however being a global release, I would assume like nearly every global release the time zones reference usually indicates a 6hr difference from my own time US central. (E7 for reference). In any case, I was unable to complete the 2 events because I assumed that June 17th meant June 17th with moderate hour differential. Not June 16th in the am hours. Severally unfortunate, considering I put in a lot of time and effort. I suppose if you can just keep in mind for US time zone, it updates the day before, you will be fine moving forward, but having lost progress on 2 events ruined the experience for me.

Typical Gacha

I could balance this out with a three star but no. Raids crash and don’t work on iPad with no fix in sight and it has progressively gotten worse. Greed as usual has shown itself as free daily pull was removed from the Awakened banner purely because F2P peeps could stack pity roles over. There is no free daily pulls in operators even though in douche fashion you need Chloe starseeker to even do the new raids, yet they came out with Mina because she’s one of the best ops and they know most people would have to spend their planet mall to get here meaning their belly up for Chloe. All this so they can throw a ‘Free’ 50 pulls at you when this ultimately won’t mean anything if you’re not lucky anyway. Luck, luck, luck. Luck on gear rolls, luck in characters, luck on getting raids or dives, etc…etc. gacha is the absolute scurge of gaming, it’s the Indian scammer calling the vulnerable to steal money. This just puts an anime face and boobs on it. Thus As usual, this ISNT a game.

Great game but some flaws

Counterside is a great game to enjoy and have functions that enable players to make quick progression from skipping stages for players who don’t have a lot of time; however, from my time playing since the release, the update are making the gameplay worse than it was. I was experience frequent crashing from playing PvP gauntlet, so I have to rely on auto battle in either ranked or strategy. Ranks gauntlet should implement should have some rework losing less points with many losing streaks.PvE content from event and story is really nice and have interesting story/plot happening. Rewards or event shops are really helpful in progression but I would like to see more fusion cores added Overall, I think this game is really nice, but I think that PVP need some teaks to crashing or opponents that have the same or less CP

Genuinely great game with high quality art.

Truly one of the most underrated gacha games out. Never understood why this game never got the attention it deserves. It’s pretty f2p friendly and even if you can’t accumulate enough currency to get an awakened unit, chances are it’ll just be rerun with countless others very soon after. You never feel like you miss out if you can’t get a unit right as they release. Gameplay is actually decent and uses accurate sprite models rather than chibi like most other games. Something that is desperately needed imo. The art is super high quality and the live2d is incredible. Really deserves to be up there with the giants in terms of popularity and hopefully it’ll reach those heights one day.

Too many CRASHES!

I’ve been playing this game since the beta and I must say it has quickly became one of my favorite F2P/GATCHA game by far. I love much of what the game has to offer. However, lately I’ve been experiencing consistent crashes which is completely ruining my experience. This mostly occurs as I navigate through menus. The game would just freeze then take me back a few seconds before. You can’t even imagine how annoying this is when managing your inventory. Even when I do summons the game would freeze then take me to the menu screen. The summon still is counted for, but I wouldn’t know what I got. Also during PvP, when picking your load out it would freeze in the middle of your selection and place you at your previous load out. It’s becoming unbearable at this point. Not sure if the Counterside community ever addressed this but I hope the developers can fix this issue.

Very generous developers

Dear CounterSide team, This is my first time writing a review for a game and I just want to say that I have been really enjoying this game. The content, the artworks and the story are all so fascinating. I just have two suggestions: first of all, is it possible for you guys to add more languages (Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, etc.) I think that will really bring more players to this fantastic game. Secondly, since the global server is going to have very fast pacing, is it possible for us to get more rewards and events so there won’t be an huge gap between f2p and whales? Thank you! Repeated crashing after initiating raid

*I’m writing this review both as a notice to the developers and a warning to players using older iPhone models*I was enjoying the game greatly, until I initiated a raid. The game now crashes very quickly after startup, and as exiting the app doesn’t automatically eject you from the raid lobby, whenever it does manage to load into the game it is back into the raid which initially started the crashing. Every time I load into the raid a couple seconds pass, so maybe if I restart to app ~100 or so times I’ll be able to get out of the raid lobby. I suspect this is an issue because I’m using an older iPhone 6. This is a pretty game breaking bug for me and potentially any new players using an older phone.

Fun but one annoying bug

How far I’ve gone through, it’s a pretty fun game. But if you leave the game open, like for example me falling asleep while having this game open. The game will reset (which makes sense) and that’s not the issue. The problem is that when you tap to play the game tells me that there’s “A newer version of the game and that the game needs to restart” I click okay, the game restarts and what not, but then the same thing pops up over and over and over. The problem has happened to me twice, not the pop up, THE PROBLEM. The only way I’ve fixed it is by deleting the game and downloading the game all over again. But even downloading back the game has its own problems.

New update downgraded the game

I saw the recent reviews about the game wanted to see for myself. It’s true the game got worse. The UI is Atrocious I’m not a new player I’ve played for a about a year and I had trouble navigating through it. If an experienced player can’t navigate through it new players won’t even be able to play. The hololive collab is a joke trying to get the free skin will take ages you might as well buy the skin instead. That’s how everything is now. It will take ages to get anything. Now loot is harder than ever to get. Now that Japan is merged with us pvp is a mess with pay to win players from Japan. They are ahead of us with units, updates. Skill is out the window now in pvp just spend some money. Overall the game was downgraded from being somewhat free to play to now only being able to get everything within the next year or of course spend money to speed it up or get what you want. The story is sub par with predictable plot twists. It felt like every chapter had plot twists and it became very predictable in my opinion. Game got worse and very unrewarding
