Behind the Times?

Seems to me that this app doesn't do much to encourage people to go get vaccinated for COVID-19. I've been following the Data Tracker for this new disease almost since the first phases, when the big news was still in China and on cruise ships. It makes no sense to me that the CDC is still listing, among its "easy-access" [my expression] data points, the percentage of Americans who have received "at least one" of the three separate injections required for optimum immunity. If the CDC continues to publish that lackadaisical statistic, it should also present the results of a study showing the percentages of people who still contracted COVID-19 within, say, one year after receiving (1) only the first inoculation, not the second one and not the booster; (2) the first two shots but not the booster; (3) all three shots. Either do the study--or save that money, because you would otherwise be spending it (again) to re-rationalize the current protocol. Instead, post the following message loud and clear on the CDC website: "Folks, if you want optimal immunity ASAP, you gotta get two full shots plus a booster--spaced properly apart. And this virus isn't going to go away. We're already trying to figure out the subsequent inoculations that we'll all need in order to maintain immunity over the next two, three, four years." How else is the CDC going to motivate full and ongoing compliance with its recommendations, now and in future years?KSSHRINK

Informational App

The CDC app provides great factual information that can be used by anyone. It provides relevant information for what is currently happening through out the world. One thing that I wish was more up to date would be their statistics. There has been great changes in health the last few years so more recent statistics could better inform our society.

I have found this app to be very unhelpful. The information can be found on any TV station or radio station with more accuracy. When you list the accounts of diseases, numbers and locations of spread the coral coronavirus 19 is not even listed.I find this ridiculous and I suspect Politics is playing a role. If you don’t report accurately the amount of infection rate it makes the federal government look better in their failed response to this crisis.

CDC

The app is a good information source for knowledge and prevention diseases and conditions which may concern society, especially in these times. The app is easy to navigate by way of the side pane which takes the user to any section they want. Users can filter their information feed by way if what they want to see. The app can be a bit sluggish when going back and forth but the issues are few and far between.

Works great!

I had no problem with any of the links. It pulled up the most current information available the same as on the CDC website.

The CDC has failed humanity.

The CDC has become a highly politicized agency that has disregarded hundreds and hundreds of superb quality studies pertaining to early outpatient treatment for Covid-19.The CDC, as well as other prominent agencies, have actively suppressed a treasure trove of Covid-19 early treatment preprints that are waiting to be peer reviewed. This is an extraordinary, and unprecedented, situation. They have allocated limitless effort to make sure these studies never see the light of day. We need to start asking ourselves the following question:“Why are these extremely high quality studies, which were conducted by many of the world’s leading scientists and medical doctors, being suppressed rather than put through the peer review process?”

Very informative

I think this app is very informative and has lots of critical information needed that you can’t find anywhere else. It is a reliable source that can be used safely and will not contain false information.

Amazing

You can find anything you want here from Ebola to Covid19. The only down side is that I am young and find it somewhat hard to use. But it’s easy to learn after a while. Thank you CDC!!!!

Great App

I think that this app is truly informative, especially for public health, or any related health major. It can be used after school, and can help retrieve reliable statistics!
