Best of all cast apps available
Tried several apps including Chromcast, All Cast, and Photo cast; those all have bugs and give inconsistent performance. None would display your iPhone videos upright. Cast Player basic is smooth and intuitive and does not flip your videos which can be very annoying.
Good for videos but not for photos
Works well with videos up to 1080P. Photos are cast at resolutions up to 1920 X 1080. The photos appear truncated and zoomed on the TV screen. They cannot be resized and moved to fit and fill the screen. Also, the application does not access all the photo albums; only the Camera Roll, Panoramas, videos, and Screenshots.
No links available to access photo library
I don’t know how I was able to load the few videos and photos that I did. There was no link to access photo library. The first time I used it took too many steps to access and load pictures and too long to load them with no visible means to view load progress. Not very useful. I have one now that is very good, very easy and quick to o use showing percentage of load progress. This app here needs a lot of work to make it useful.
Exactly what casting should be
Cast my pictures and videos so well especially video shot from iPhone 7 plus out put to 4K TV looking so clear. I didn't shoot in 4K but awesome video and pix out. So simple to use. No in app purchase, no bloated stuff. I compared with other 4 casters and end up deleted all. Highly recommended.
Can’t exit!
It would be really nice to be able to exit the app and have it continue to run the slide show while I do other things on my phone, but other than that it is a good app for casting my pics and videos!

Finally an iOS app to cast photos and videos to your Chromecast connected TV that isn't total trash. No extra bloat, pop ups, upgrades, or ads. It just works and it's fast! It would be ideal for Apple to have built in cast support in the photos app but this is the next best thing. I've been wanting something like this since the Chromecast launched. There is also a similar app I like too called SnapCaster if you are looking for more features.

I got a chromecast, and the picture and video looks great. A nice feature is that you can watch videos in 1080p when other apps make you pay for hd.

Work flawlessly for pics, had a video issue on playback not sure if it's my upload speed or not. Reduced resolution and it played better. Overall great app!
