It really works. I’m glad I bought it. Random people in my photos are now quickly zapped. I was disappointed at when I first got the app because it didn’t work. I guess there was a bug. With an update, it works.
Maybe I missed this in the rush of happiness at finding this app. It only works when you take a picture, in real time. In fact, it takes over as your camera, so if you like being able to set controls, it’s a dead end. Haven't used it yet, and likely won’t as I can’t apply its skills to any images already on my Camera Roll, you know, like you might want to. Kinda pointless for vacation photos if you need a live connection and will get charged for roaming by your carrier. Needs to have more thought put into it based on how people use their cameras today. Great idea, flawed execution and I lost 3 bucks to truly discover this. 😩
I hate looking at my wife. She hates looking at me. Now with the Bye Bye Camera App, we can finally take photos of each other. I framed one yesterday. My wife looks great and completely invisible. Thanks, Bye Bye Camera App!
When trying to use, it says update available, please update... then goes to App Store when you click update. THERE IS NO UPDATE LINK! When you choose “open”, the App will actually work, but won’t update without constantly telling you to update and bringing you to the App Store. Tried deleting and reinstalling, but that didn’t work. HOW DO YOU UPDATE THIS APP? 😡
I’ve tried this on about 20 photos from my photo library. Most of them fail with the message that there was a network error and couldn’t get mask (my network connectivity is not a problem here) and many of the others leave a big splotch as if I erased that section. The couple that did work were impressive but for me this app didn’t work enough to declare success or useful. There is no scenario where I would take photos from the app, everything would be from my photo library.I’ll keep trying especially as any updates come in (I have the latest version) but seems not quite ready for use.
I buy apps from TechCrunch recommendations. Whoever wrote the article must have been paid to promote because the app DOES NOT WORK. First, it only offers a live camera. This means you CANNOT USE PHOTOS FROM YOUR PHONE as source photos. Who the heck would develop an app to remove people that cannot load photos from your phone? Second, the camera app was developed with the skill of an over-ambitious kindergartener: there are no controls. It’s the worst $3 that I have ever spent causing me to write my first scathing review ever!
Don’t waste your money
I’m honestly not gonna lie this app actually works it will need some improvements but it works and totally recommend it for taking pictures without people being in them!
LOLIt's great fun. For someone looking for a serious tool, this is probably going to be super frustrating, but anyone who can appreciate a quick to the punch art project that executes on a concept subverting typical photo apps will love it. I do! Stoked on the update for processing other images in my camera roll.
The app is fun. It does a variable job depending on the background. I have had cases where human removed well and some where it was done poorly. Nonetheless it is fun to experiment. It would be better if you could save the resulting image some way other than having to quickly take a screenshot. It would also be neat if this could be applied to previously saved photos
The Bye Bye Camera app is the camera for the post-human era. Every picture you take automatically removes any person. Finally you can take a selfie without yourself. **IMPORTANT NOTE: This not the next photo editing start up it's a piece of software art :) ** **this app always needs a good internet connection** **we don't save any pictures on any server - we highly value privacy**
