So much fun!

Woody 99 is absolutely sooo much fun! It really requires you to think and strategize. My husband and I both have the game on our phones; therefore we have “friendly” competition trying to beat the high score. I’m glad that you can play and lose as much as you want, without having to spend a bunch of money to play; therefore, I personally don’t mind the ads. I can’t say enough how much I love this game. This is my favorite game to play on my phone...and the only game I’ve been playing. I’ve started deleting other games off of my phone. Why waste space on my phone with other games when i’ve found the ultimate game experience in Woody 99?!?

Really like it but......

I like this game a lot. It’s definitely challenging and keeps you thinking. The only problem I have with it is that I can strategize with the pieces I have on the board. Then I leave the perfect shape for a piece. The next set of pieces come in and THERE IT IS!!! Oh wait, it’s always in the opposite direction as what I need. I can’t rotate it and I ruin it with a piece. Then, my piece comes in and in the right direction. I feel like it always is too late and it gets frustrating. If we could rotate the pieces or at least give us the pieces a little more timely, it would be better. I guess that might make it too easy though. So, I just don’t want the AI to always give the wrong pieces. Other than that, great game!

Ok Ok Ok

I have never EVER left a review for a game, but this game... I CANT STOP PLAYING IT. I seriously played this for 7 HOURS a couple days ago. Partly because of quarantine, but mostly bc it’s so addicting! Not to mention, I have quiet a few different games on my phone! I don’t really understand how someone could diss this game in anyway! I literally play the game in my head when I’m not playing it on my phone. I usually don’t spend that much time on my phone, but this game is an exception! PLAY IT! PLAY IT! PLAY IT!Wait! One thing! Okay, I know I said that I don’t see how anyone could diss this game, but just remembered one MINOR detail that really isn’t that big of a deal! I love hearing the sound of the wood clicking into place, so I turn the volume up (it just makes it feel more satisfying), but when I lose, well, the “Game Over” sound is somewhat... obnoxious. Idk, it may just be my brain! I just wouldn’t complain if there were some changes in the sound design! Still love the game!

Disappointed

I don’t understand how this game can change as it has from first playing because it would give you a variety of different formed blocks to place so that you were able to place in spots to make a line or a fill a whole block to delete from board so that you could fill it again on and on this is how you get your points but lately it sends the same 6 and 7 set of blocks only sometimes more in the first and second and third time it sends you blocks to place on the board then it sends maybe 4 or 5 set of the same blocks during the time your trying to score high points to no avail there is no way you can it’s impossible it happens every time I try to play why do you not care why can’t you fix this why do you not want me to play this game why make a game if its rigged just to be disappointed I’ve gotten high scores before so don’t tell me I don’t know what I’m talking about this game needs to send different shapes of blocks on each game not the same three or four set of blocks over and over it only takes a few minutes before game is lost because what it sends won’t let you win I love this game others are so immature so please care enough to make people have a little enjoyment in life if not I will delete and never play your games again and I will also let others know how messed up this game is I don’t want to try other block games I like this one

Has potential

Hi! Your game has a very attractive look to it. I like the “wood” look that makes it look old fashioned. I l like the feature that you can place the pieces wherever they fit and not necessarily within one 3x3 square. I really like the feature of making combinations or consecutive moves for more points. A couple of details that seem frustrating while playing is that you cannot rotate the pieces. I feel that we should be able to do that and also there should be a delay between placing the piece and it becoming a part of the board where you can’t move it. Sometimes we need a chance to change our mind before the final answer. One more thing we should be able to get a new piece once you use a piece and not having to wait until you place all three before given a new set. Because the pice that you need now might be in the next set. Thank you so much! Keep up the good work 👍🏼

Not fun anymore!

This game was always my favorite game to play when I had time to sit down and relax. But lately, the game is so riddled with interruptions, that it has made the game almost impossible to play. With the new changes, the game has gone from fun and relaxing to extremely frustrating! In the past, you could play a number of games before you were subjected to ads. Now, there are ads after each game, and now they are actually interrupting the game itself. The new “time to rest” feature pops up on my screen with yet another ad every few minutes during the game I am currently playing! I saw the developer response on a prior review that stated it is to enable the player to take a rest during a lengthy game. I don’t consider 5 minutes of gameplay to be lengthy. As an adult, I am able to know when I need to “take a rest” and can put the game down on my own without being prompted! I know you can pay to remove these intrusive ads, but $5 a month or $32 a year —- just a tad expensive! I will offload the app and check back occasionally to see if the game has improved its playability, but for now I’ll hunt another game.

Used to be such a great game.

I used to absolutely love this game. I got back into it a while ago, and there were ads here and there, but nothing too terrible. I came back with the understanding that with time, these types of games are changing. More ads; it’s necessary to keep the game free. However, an ad after every. Single. Game. Failed or passed, becomes a little annoying! Still nothing I couldn’t live with. The little pop up after the ads telling me I can “subscribe” to remove them is kind of obnoxious but I really like doing the daily challenges, so I win some and lose some. I have paid money to remove ads in plenty of games. One-time payments of $.99, once even $10. But I’m not “subscribing” to a game that there’s a hundred other games nearly identical to.! I really liked the journey. I only got to participate in two, but the ad strips at the bottom hadn’t been noticeable before; if they were even there, but now makes it nearly impossible to hit “next level” on the journey levels. I already have to watch an ad every 2 minutes, is the strip at the bottom that blocks part of the screen necessary? At least move the button. I have been playing this game every night for several months but I think it may be time to take a break.

As good as Woody, but annoyed by ads

This dev group knows how to produce amazingly addictive games. I spent WAY too much of my pre high school years playing Tetris on the 1st gen Nintendo Gameboy. So, when I saw how similar the original Woody was, I tried playing it. Over two years later, I still play it addictively as one of my go to mindless games. It is incredibly challenging and hard to get Hogg scores for me. Having got addicted to Woody so quickly, when I saw this version available, I just had to try it. It took me a little more convincing, probably because the strategies are completely different than woody. But the more I played it, the more addicted I became. When I find myself wanting to throw my phone against the wall because I got caught with a stupid piece after a good run, I will go back to Woody and vise versa.I subscribed to their annual pass to remove the ads because I play it so often and hate waiting to watch the stupid ads. I love Woody Sudoku, so much, I would easily be willing to pay for another subscription, but they do not offer the option. So, every time an ad pops up, I just close the app and reopen it to avoid having to wait. I would easily give this game a 5 star review if I had to the option to not be bothered, every so often, with ads.

Idiocracy

I’m Not Sure, but playing this game just feels like it is not only not random but is programmed to beat you. It never, bar none, gives you last minute random saves. In fact, it will give you instead, almost like gloating, the exact opposite piece that you need just to survive more often than not. Well, what do you expect, you’re playing a computer, and an algorithm designed by someone who just needs to beat you every time. Unlike Tetris, you can’t turn a piece. And, in your ad you equate it to Sudoku and it is absolutely nothing like Sudoku except the playing board has nine by nine squares. What are you, nine? Also in the ad you show every piece offered fitting conveniently when the opposite is true. Obviously not random, programmed against the player. Difficult is one thing, impossible is no fun. What a waste of time.

Love it!

Love relaxing with this and doing daily puzzles and killing time with regular play. I have had the app about 2 years and it’s still a favorite. I like the journey feature, but I do not like how it hangs up at times between levels, both on my iPad and iPhone. I’ve tried restarting devices, updating the app, even reinstalling app, but I could not complete the last several journeys due to the app “hanging up.” It does not do this with regular play or daily puzzles, so I just go as far as I can and then give up on the rest of the journey. Frustrating but not a deal breaker for a free game that has limited ads and is fun to play. I wish the regular play had some of the pretty jewels in play like are in the journey levels (maybe like as a bonus round for another daily puzzle once a week). That would add another dimension of fun to a great game!
