What a piece of crap

No translation, doesn’t allow to sign up, needs picture of your passport then crashes… multiple reinstalls might get you one step further, then if complains about passport number being wrong format, other fields are perceivedly wrong that we’re never asked - it’s completely useless. If you want to get around BA by bike - forget this service as it will only frustrate you and plainly not work. Latest update states bug fixes…. Seriously???

Impossible to register

The app has the option to register using a passport if you do not have an Argentinian ID (DNI). However, the registration page never actually confirms your account (I tried on several phones) and I was unable to get an answer from a live human on their WhatsApp help chat.

Seems to be an app designed to steal your money and nothing else

Two times I bought unlocks and both times it “lost” them, once as I was in the process of unlocking a bike. Seems like a complete scam to me, which is a shame because I was looking forward to trying BA on bicycle.

TOURIST READ ME:

Hi! I was surprised to see so many comments in English from tourists... so I wanted to clarify that this app (for the ‘orange’ bicycles you see roaming around) is only for the people living in Argentina, because you require an Argentinian ID to register. There are other bikes you can rent if you sill want to cycle through the city!! Hope this is helpful to everyone! 🙂

Muy problemática - Tourists, may not be for you!

Si sos residente en el extranjero, es imposible registrarte correctamente. El problema de uso más serio es que, cuando hay un error en los datos ingresados, la app sólo informa que “hay un error” sin especificar cuál es y cómo solucionarlo. Tourists: the registration process is cumbersome and riddled with pitfalls for non-BA addresses. Server keeps returning mysterious, unspecified “errors” when attempting to use your credit card to finish registration.

Absolutely terrible

As a tourist, here’s what I did to make it work:Go through sign up process.Take picture of passport (not sure if they validate)Fill in info (make sure bday is day first and you have two names in your name field first last)Address info can be anythingThen if it crashes because server error, go back and login in using your newly made credentials. Validate your account with a phone number ( you get a text) Then buy the Turístico plan ( only one that takes foreign cards) You should be good to go. Still very unclear app and can be improved but got it to work.

No bike availability

Horrible app. As a tourist I was able to register myself but it always says there’s no bikes available at each station and then we’d walk by and there are 4 or 5 bikes there. Completely inaccurate availability of their bikes. Impossible to use which is a shame because it would have been very helpful.I assume locals use the physical card swipe option to unlock but those are quite a process to get unless you’re a local. Please fix this for future people trying to explore your city.

Updated… US tourist, got it to work. Please read

Old review below. But I persisted and figured it out. After going through the painful registration process, I kept getting errors on the payment upload. I realized that despite the fact it offers an ‘other’ category for ID, just leave it set to DNI and omit any letters from your passport number. This worked for me and my payment method was approved. I’m now able to use the bikes. I think the fact that there are so many bikes available (here in Buenos Aires anyway) is because the app is so horrible to use. Even for locals, the process is unintelligible. It’s taken me well over an hour to figure this out. Insane. —————-Original review:Why have an app that asks for your passport, offers a specific tourist plan and then not allow tourists to make a payment? I see the comments from the developer that this is only for Argentine residents. In which case, why ask for a passport upload? This is one of the worst app experiences I have even come across. After asking for your passsport image, it then asks you for you passport number, and later on, asks you to re-enter it again for payment. After which you get a helpful message in Portuguese that it doesn’t work and to try again later. Terrible. Visitors, please, take it from me, don’t waste your time

Absolutely horrendous

We had a terrible experience using this app. I cannot believe that tourists (literally anyone not from argentina) can’t rent these city bikes. I am absolutely appalled that every step of this process was met with extreme difficulty. My address, credentials, (you name it!) were consistently rejected. All we wanted was a fast and convenient way to get home. No. We were denied this opportunity. Hideous app. Improve, Buenos Aires.

Horrible

Doesn't seem to work unless you are a citizen of Argentina. To be clear, there is a way to create an account using your passport. It's a horrible process. And after all that work, they won't accept your credit card. Even when it's a Mastercard.
