Another truly solid app required by subscriptions

Make no mistake … this is a really good app. I applaud the effort. However, like so many other apps, greed will drive it into the ground sooner than later … which is sad. Subscriptions for these kinds of apps are an App Store cancer. Look no further than the version history … people are expected to pay $5/mo or $45/year (before tax) for tweaks and fixes that should be included in the price of the app. Subscriptions should pay for NEW content and features *every* month — not to fix or tweak aspects of the app that should be fixed to make it work as expected.Again - this is a truly great app. However, I will not use it because people shouldn’t have (or be expected) to pay for the SAME features over and over and over again.**Note: Some months have included awesome news content/features. But for a subscription based app, brand new content/features should be added every single month. Otherwise, subscriptions take advantage of people who don’t (or forget to) cancel and end up paying for the same features repeatedly. When I subscribe to a monthly magazine, I get NEW content every month … not the same articles with spelling and grammar corrections along with a few new articles every 2-3 months.

Good app, one suggestion though

Hey there! You did a very good job at making this app. I bought the subscription within two weeks, and no regrets so far. I have a suggestion though. You should make an option where all notes are open for play, not just the notes of one scale, so that I am able to play chords like the devils interval. I have had lots of fun using this app and making digital music that closely resembles the Stranger Things theme song. Keep up the good work! -meHi! Thank you for the response, and all the help. The advise you gave was really useful, and I hope to use the chromatic feature as soon as I possibly can.I have one suggestion, I don’t know if it is possible or even necessary, but here it is anyway: maybe you can add an option to reverse notes and play the instruments backwards. Sometimes I have trouble transitioning between scenes, and maybe if you could play the scene backwards then use an impact for the next scene it would have a good effect. And maybe you can have a loop in the background that is playing backwards. Keep up the good work, you have made an amazing app.-me

Was a decent app now it’s a rip off

So I’ve had this app for a few years so I can casually make beats. Bought a few of the packs at the time before they updated everything over a year ago. As the app has stopped doing these wild updates I noticed that all the packs I bought have now been switched over to subscription based models. It’s pretty upsetting that I’ve spent over $30 in packs and now I have to re-subscribe for things that were not detailed to be subscription based. This app literally did what adobe did but worse with the subscription mode because the app really didn’t actually improve any functionality in fact I would argue that they’ve scaled back really giving more tools to users. There’s still no import vocals and now only 1/6 of all the songs I’ve been making over the year work now because the packs for sounds are locked because of this subscription model they’ve implemented. I don’t recommend anyone to make any real investments into this app. It’s fun to play around with but this app is missing that professional quality in a finished song and just sprinkled with audio sound packs you have to resubscribe for every year and they’re not cheap. Good luck with this app. I will never ever ever use this app again because it’s now a rip off.

I love your app so much

I have autism and I make music in this app and whenever I reverse it I stim everywhere because it sounds so good I love this app so much I’ve been using it for like 2 years and it is so good here’s some suggestions: 1: When I make a song that has over 100 scenes it kinda says “Scene 1…” so make it the scene viewer button a little longer so it’s less confusing 2: Add more colors I love the colors so much please add more 3: Add those little adjustment things like the lowpass thingy gets less intense as the scene goes on Idk how to explain it but it’s like the little points that connect to each other and it shows lines between the points to show how much that part of the instrument there is. You know what I mean so about that add like the Attack, Release, Glide, Tune, all that if you’re able to 4: Add a search for songs thingy I have so many songs and sometimes I cant find them 5: Add a amen break drum thingy the Frozen Lake drum isn’t enough WE NEED MORE 6: Make like that reverse loop thing where all of the notes get shuffled to the front or back. Like if there was a note in the beginning when you press Reverse the note is in the back vice versa. I love you auxy PLEASE NOTICE ME

Like it…but

Now I don’t really have anything against the app or the people who made it, actually I really enjoy it. Being able to kinda experiment with music is pretty cool especially since it’s something that I’ve been thinking about doing for a decent amount of time…that being said I really wished that we didn’t have to pay to essentially use the full app, and it feels kinda scummy and sad that we have to pay truly use a app that’s kinda for people to experiment around with. I understand that it’s a paid app and no one said it was going to be free, but surely you could make profit off of this really cool app without having it feel scummy in a way like ads or something I don’t exactly know but surely something else could work. But overall I still really do like this app and even if you can’t change it then that’s understandable but I really wish you could do something else so doesn’t really feel scummy to a lot of people

Easily my favorite and most-used app

I've been using this app for about 5 years since I found it by accident on the App Store. Before that, I created music... in my head. But this has given me the opportunity to actually put songs together, and they actually sound good (to me anyway!) thanks to all the high-quality sounds included and ways you can manipulate them. There's absolutely no reason I wouldn't give this app 5 stars or recommend it to anyone interested in creating music. That said, there are certainly things about the app that could make it easier to use, not the least of which would be simple Undo/Redo functionality – I can't tell you how many times I've spent too many hours working on a project, only to nod off and make some very weird changes with my hand still on the touchscreen! But all of the flexibility this app offers far eclipses the list of updates I'd like to see in future releases. And its outright simplicity makes it so easy to get started without any learning curve whatsoever... at least not until you feel ready to delve into the more advanced stuff. Have fun!

Decent app for making a beat idea

This is a good app to write down the idea on the go while your out of the studio and transfer the idea and perfect it in your own daw. I wouldn’t go as far as saying this is a music production app as you don’t have as much ability as you would in FL studio, Ableton, or Reason. You can pay $6/month for more sounds but there is no need to if you have a studio or daw at home. This app is set up a lot like FL studio and Ableton and give you some setting to mess with such as wav shape and basic compressor and distortion. All around a good app to write down a chord progression on the go so you don’t forget it, or even to pass the time. This is more of a beat maker app not a production and perfecting app. This app is still very useful for being free and having a variety of stock sounds to mess with. You can pick your scale, notes, bpm, instruments, and octaves as you would with a professional daw. I will be using this app more and recommend this to anyone starting an interest in music, or need a place to write down musical ideas.

This is the one... A serious app for serious producers.

Auxy is a really fantastic music app and I’ve loved it since the early days, but I’d been on the fence about finally paying the subscription. I think it’s a decent value though, so I finally warmed up to the idea and decided to dive in and see what I’m missing. There’s a lot of great stuff here and, as an Ableton Live devotee, I find Auxy is a beautiful companion that lets me quickly sketch new ideas whenever they strike. I’ve all the apps, and I can confidently say Auxy is THE BEST music / MIDI sketch pad in existence. It’s SUPER easy to export the project as a Live set and then finish it off using the pro-grade tools on my computer. There’s one drawback however that I would love to see addressed in a future update: You’re locked into the typical 4/4, 16-step sequence. I know this is common for step-sequencer apps, but Auxy is a cut above those in every other way. Unfortunately not with time signature though. They do provide enough options to create a workaround, but when I’m on the go, I really have no patience for that. I just wanna jot that idea down *quickly* ... But if it’s a 5/4 or a 6/8 idea (which mine often are), Auxy is limited.

Great app , couple suggestions

I love Auxy, the work flow is like a dream work flow I had years ago but lacked knowledge to applicationize it.... anyway, I am a music theory/ Edm knowledgeable person and I found this app on par with any desktop daw with the added bonus of a killer workflow. Bouncing to ableton the instruments don’t transfer so it’s better to do it as stems (or midi and then go recreate all those dope sounds) the audio can be a bit misleading in the app if you bounce straight to mp3 i.e. won’t sound the same on all stereos. To fix, turn your instruments down and rebalance at a lower volume or just re-eq stems in your daw. A cool feature to add would be the ability to do dj effects on the stems or if we could bounce scenes to say something like the notation launchpad app vs going to ableton then to pads for those of us who would like to be able to use the scenes as clips in ableton or similar apps. Love this program, I have made some of my favorite songs right there in the app.

Still my staple MusicProduction app

New upgrade they just did was with proper but it be nice to have some more affects just something to help make the sounds that I have do a little more little more uumphfff… and I mean as far as drums go I think we can go to the drums on this app to to last is probably a long long while I’m thinking more bass like stand up bass or maybe even up some more Chyna dubstep bass music type of bass in or something with a little more uumphfff… I hit you guys up before saying that you know more organic sounds would be great more organic sounds and you guys told me that you guys could but pretty much every other music app even though they fail in comparison as far as the actual production and goes a lot of the other music apps aren’t as user-friendly but they have a lot of better sounds a lot more organic sounds I mean I guess I can transfer there sounds onto your app but I just don’t see why unless it’s a financial issue which I get why you can’t get more organic sounds but other than that I mean like I said I’m not gonna even sayThe names of the other apps that I have but you guys are way more user-friendly it’s not just because I’ve been using you guys for years it’s just because you guys just are easier to maneuver around throughout the app I don’t know man just wanted to keep on rocking in the free world
