Broken⁉️

Idk what in the world just happened but all of a sudden I’m getting an error message about an instance of an object and the game won’t launch whatever th that is, but worse I try to download it again after uninstalling it to see if that helps and it forces me to put my Apple ID typed even though I have FACE ID and it used Face ID every single other app I use if applicable, then when I log in (idk why I’m kicked out of Apple ID when I try to get the game) it pulls up my PAYMENT METHOD! Are you telling me this game isn’t free anymore and I’m just supposed to pay or something? Not that I know because it won’t even load even when I click on my payment method! I put a year into this game and watched the show on Netflix I would had to loose all of my work after this long especially since I watched the show. Please help!

Great game, just a bug with Gacha.

This game is so cute! And the quality of it is amazing, especially for an anime many don’t know about. The levels are challenging yet fun to complete, in addition to being able to expand the office building by using the stars you earn from the puzzles. It’s surprising how the developers could create a game with context from Aggretsuko. Instead of just continuous levels, the game provides special events, cool characters, and much more. One bug I’ve noticed was the Gacha/Summon for characters. When I try to use a Gacha ticket or the right amount of coins, it says “insufficient funds” or something like that, but when I use diamonds for the Gacha it works? I can’t really unlock more characters because of this, because i barely have any diamonds but a lot of coins and tickets. I don’t know if this is just me, but it would be nice if it was fixed. I logged out and even deleted the app at some point, but nothing worked out.Otherwise, the game is great and I recommend downloading it!

Fun and cute match three

This is a match three with some of the most polish I’ve seen. The graphics are upbeat, bright, colorful, and cute, and the power ups and boosts are intuitive and easy to use. Even if you don’t know the source material, you get the gist and humor behind what Aggretsuko is all about with the intro video. There is also an office building mechanic that utilizes the stars you earn from completing levels. It isn’t very in-depth but it’s still satisfying to watch everything be unlocked. I’d say this is a great capitalization on the franchise. It doesn’t feel like a cash-grab (despite the presence of micro transactions for gems and such) nor does it feel like a cynical attempt to make the most of the series’ popularity.

A fun take on a familiar game genre

There is no shortage of Match-3 games, so a new one will have to be pretty memorable to stand out. Happily, Hive has managed to do so here in The Short-Timer Strikes Back. The joy and frustration found in the Netflix/Sanrio series “Aggretsuko” is perfectly captured within this game. Nearly every character in the series is represented here as a power-up to help you clear each level.As a bonus, the further you pass levels, you unlock plenty of short animated videos depicting Retsuko’s daily grind and aggrieved workplace incidents, which are well worth watching. As far as expenses go, I was able to get past level 300 without shelling out for more coins or upgrades, so this game offers a lot of fun without needing a monetary boost so early on. I should also note that while the game offers lots of Sanrio-brand joy in its kawaii graphics and catchy ragtime music, Retsuko will burst into death metal rage at the completion of each level, which it can be a little jarring. It’s all in good fun, though!

Just OK

This puzzle game is decent distraction for when you are looking to waste a bit of time. It’s especially good for fans of the show as their are a number of short clips that you can earn and watch. You can ‘collect’ characters and use them (along with their special ability) in the puzzles.That starts us off on some of the down sides. Although the characters are nice to have, there are so many that it would take hundreds of hours to level even some of them up to point that they’re actually useful. Worse, the puzzles are not innovative and rely much more on luck than any planning or skill, be prepared for plenty of attempts that you just can’t win due to the puzzle having to be reshuffled over and over or a target drop that got stuck somewhere in the puzzle and refuses to fall.It seems like the developers wanted to create a story-telling game with puzzle elements, but instead wound up with a game of mediocre components thrown together under the theme of Aggretsuko. It could be a more interesting and enjoyable game.

Review update-Loved It, Can’t Use Rewards

There was a glitch where we could receive rewards. I have received draw tickets as rewards and not achievements and I can’t even use them. It’s not right to blame the players who had draw tickets from rewards by not allowing them to use them. So sad that the developers do that. I’ve been playing it since it first came out and don’t want to keep up because of that. I wanted to share that I genuinely LOVE this game, it is fun and addictive, including the new department mode. It is just discouraging to see the unfairness of the notice recently released that other reviewers are referring to. Help was resolved- I’ve had this game since July 2020. I love this game and have put in many hours (I’m almost at the level threshold). However, I have no way to contact the developers about this, but *my game has been offline for almost 10 hours*. I have absolutely no idea why (my wifi is great and my data is good too!). I’ve also tried the usual troubleshooting, but that means I can’t play the department challenges that my department relies on me. Is anyone else having this issue? I can’t report this issue because I have no way of contacting anyone about this since the app is offline.

Ehhhhhh

First of all I love the aggretsuko characters from the show and I love the clips. The game is pretty similar to a lot of the popular puzzle games nowadays, with the added “feature” of building up the office. This feature was fun at first, but in the later game it is impossible to furnish the office at any feasible rate. Later in the game each one piece of furniture cost 9+ stars when you can only get a max of three stars per level! And there can be over 20+ furniture per area in order for it to be complete. Not to mention after level 200 the levels start to get impossibly hard! I used to really like this game but it seems like its just like all the other “popular” mobile games; unnecessary difficult and drawn out just to encourage people to make micro transactions. Wouldn’t really recommend

Used to be fun

I’m a long time Sanrio fan and I love Retsuko so this became my go to match-3 game, it was fun and the characters are adorable. However, since I began clearing all stages as soon as they came out it’s become quite frustrating. You buy floor themes and then need stars to complete tasks and build said themes, but most of them require over 10 stars so I can barely manage to complete one or two every time they add new levels and it takes months to complete a theme. Sure, you can replay old levels and try to gain 3 stars, but it’s no fun having to play the same stage over and over again, especially when higher levels are hard enough to pass. And now the last straw that will make me quit this game soon are the extremely annoying FORCED ADS implemented today, I’m sure people already watched enough ads for rewards, now the app is barely usable and resembles more a sketchy website instead of a fun game. That’s enough.

Cute/Co-Op Missions fun/TOO many ads

The game is a fun match-3 type of gameplay. Very cute animations. There are short videos of Retsuko and her coworkers that I enjoyed, and wish there were more! There are teams you can join of 30 players, where you play Co-op Missions to defeat the Boss, and compete against other teams and move up in the ranks. At the end of the Mission, your team can be rewarded with diamonds if you are ranked high enough. I enjoy this part of the game the most. Chat is available in the teams, which makes it fun. BUT— it is not user friendly: so many innocent words are censored out, showing up in the text like this:****. I mean, innocuous words like ‘night’, for example! Also, so few letter characters are allowed per text bubble, so to say simple sentences you have to break it up into many entries. Really inadequate. Lastly, ADS! WAYYYY too many. I mean, WAYYYYY too many. If it wasn’t for being on a nice team, I would have quit the game—really! You can pay $6 to remove the “forced ads” permanently, but I have an agreement with myself to never pay real money in any games I play.

Genuinely Surprised

I am not a fan of these connect three games at all but this game adds a lot to the formula, especially if you are a fan of the show. Honestly I think anyone could get enjoyment out of it just because of the amount of charm this game has, but fans are definitely going to get the most bang for buck here. The gameplay is pretty standard connect 3 but has a bunch of stuff that keeps it interesting, and the power-ups seem more fair and useful than similar games. The character abilities are a really cool feature that keeps the game interesting, with a whole bunch to unlock and use. TheOffice building portion seems a bit gimmicky, but it looks really nice and it’s a good way to keep players motivated to keep playing. This way, a player can actively see how much they have progressed with a fun visual! Plentiful amounts of daily stuff, like challenges and mission, to keep yourself busy everyday! The unlocks for the mini-episodes are a SUPER amazing addition and are very enjoyable. Keep in mind that all the voice acting is in JapaneseI highly recommend this app to anyone who enjoys these games, or if you don’t like in my case. I also hope this brings many new fans to the show! If you haven’t watched it, it’s available on Netflix with season 3 coming out August 28th! Give it a watch it’s really great!
