Life changing at work

Overall, I’m thrilled to have this app!!!!!! Nothing else is like it exists (linking note taking to calendar events) and it’s an indispensable for keeping my work organized. I am more than happy to pay for this application and I love not being forced into subscription pricing!! That said, I hope the iOS version eventually gets to the same level of polish as the Mac version.... The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because text entry on iOS is frustratingly inferior to the Mac version of Agenda. For example, I am constantly recorrecting style assignments that render incorrectly or seem to change on their own, and simple things like setting my text insertion point at the end of a line (using touch) is crazy hard. I fear these iOS shortcoming are so fundamental that they threaten Agenda’s long-term survival. If I hadn’t tried the Mac version first and experienced what the developers were capable of, I would have given up on the iOS version by now over text manipulation and rendering problems. Because I mainly live on an iPad, I hope I don’t have to suffer this silliness much longer.

HELP... RECEIVED!!

Revised... upgraded to 5* simply because of their superb customer support. Additionally, after emerging myself in their product description screens and checking out the feature set, this should quickly become my go-to tool for all the massive note taking that I do. Great concepts and I’m hoping to soon report how much it improves the existing tools I use today. Evernote and Dropbox users pay through subscriptions to get basic vanilla ice cream without the toppings. I personally have been a less-than-satisfied paid user for both Evernote and Dropbox apps for about a decade. Time will tell, but I can imagine using Agenda with ICloud storage to replace both Wherevernote and Dropbox because of Agenda’s generalized organizational, time-stamping and tagging capabilities. And to those looking for organizational ideas like I always am, if you haven’t checked out the online following on their support page, you’re in for a real treat! Thanks again, Alex, appreciate the help!___Cannot login to post my issue on the blog. It says it cannot verify my loginPaid for app premium features, but app features will not load. Keeps asking me to login. After logging in, asks me to pay for premium features (which I’ve already done), so I click restore purchase. Then it asks me to login. And repeat. And repeat. And repeat.

Great App, but be Careful - UPDATE

UPDATEThis company is very impressive and I’m very satisfied with the measures they’ve taken for my concerns. They added extra measures to ensure you don’t lose the notes you’ve written when you are working across two devices. Very exceptional customer service. I’m hoping this will help myself and others whenever using this awesome app. ——I’ve been really enjoying this app for a couple months already. This has an amazing interface and great features. Dark mode looks clean and you’re able to organize your notes differently and much better than what comes with your phone. Unfortunately, their syncing is terrible. Think about it, you poor your heart and soul into the thoughts and ideas you’re typing. You finish it up and look at a pretty solid idea. Close the app, you go about your day then you come back to right before you started to flow. BS. No way to retrieve your previous thoughts. Might as well speak it. I was super excited to even pay the premium because they’re kind enough to let you own it than subscribe when I first downloaded this, but another round of lost ideas just killed it for me. I’m hoping they can fix how these notes can be backed up. Perhaps an offline mode and then it syncs back when you’re online. Idk, something so you don’t lose these great ideas. I personally wouldn’t want to use Dropbox Paper, but they’re syncing is immaculate. I want to love this app. Please fix this.

A remarkable beginning

This app impressed me more out of the box than anything I have tried in a while. The changes from what loosely similar apps do seem at first incremental but are powerful in a way that opens up very plausible workflows. The key thing is turning a static collection of notes into something that can flow with your calendar - it took me a little while to grasp the intent, but when it clicked and I realized it is not just a notes app replacement I could imagine lots of immediate uses. It is well worth taking the time to find and learn all the features - there is quite a bit hiding under the slick surface (maybe I am slow, but it was the second day before I found the settings button on the right hand slide-in panel) and I already see several reviews complaining about the absence of things that are actually there in the program. You can’t insert images yet but I see from their blog it is likely in the pipeline along with other things, and I happily paid for premium. Thanks to the developers!

Amazing

This will be a “I have never written a review before until now” type of review, which is true as I have never taken the time to review an app I’ve purchase/downloaded in the past. After using Agenda for the past week, I decided to make an exception. Agenda is a solid performing useful piece of software. I use it for my work and personal life. For work, I created a work log so I can start my day out with knowing what I have done and what I need to do. I connect my notes to a calendar event so I can track what items came out of the meeting and tasks which need completing. At the end of the day I review what was completed and note what still needs to be done. Rinse and repeat. I do the same for my personal life. I can do this with other apps too. Agenda is different because of the ease of use and all the great features included. Excellent job guys. Keep it up.

No Other App Like This One

There are still rough edges here and there. I like the tagging system but auto completion of tags would have been nice. There are some typing errors with tags sometimes where you have to go back and rewrite the tag as mouse moves unexpectedly. URL links are little too sensitive sometimes so that it makes it difficult to edit the notes. Apart from all these negatives, there is no other app like this one in the App Store. Agenda is a note app that can completely replace your note and todo app. It has become my go to organization tool. Agenda is where all my information goes by default including todos. It integrates with Apple reminders and calendar app nicely. It’s still a 5 star app for me and totally worth the premium it charges. Any updates and bug fixes would be icing on cake as it’s already pretty good app..

Simple, but so many options!

This app really has great features, I love being able to organize notes and projects this way. The text formatting is so great, and organizing notes, adding due dates, and being able to put specific notes and to do lists from multiple projects on the agenda is so convenient. I get scheduling, note taking, and to do listing all in one place. I would love to see just a couple more features: support for handwriting notes (eg with apple pencil or other stylus) and linking relevant documents/attachments to a project. If I could do those two things I would probably never use another note taking/to do list/scheduling app again. Adding new themes/color schemes would be nice too, maybe different color themes or a dark mode. I’d love to see what new features come out as development continues :)Great app! Keep it up!!!

The Solution to My Day Planner Problem

I’ve never been able to use traditional paper planners well. While I’ve always seen how they could, in theory, be useful, I’ve tried many times to incorporate them into how I do things, and they always end up abandoned. This app offers some adjustments in just the right areas for me - it has enough structure to help keep me organized, but enough flexibility to rearrange things more easily than trying to constantly rewrite a paper planner. The ability to toggle things “on” and “off” the main list, as well as the ability to link notes to the Apple calendar app are a huge pluses as well for me in keeping the most important things handy at any given time. I also like that other things can be kept a little more tucked away, but still accessible as needed. Long story short, I’m a HUGE fan of this app, and have used it pretty much daily now for about three years. It’s perfect for my needs.

Lots of promise but keeps crashing in multitasking/side-by-side view

I’ve downloaded and used a ton of note-taking apps, I just heard about Agenda last night. I love the premise of this app - linking notes to calendar events and then being able to quickly see associated notes, a timeline of information and even upcoming agenda items that need to be discussed. There’s huge potential with this app. I like that it’s free to try and that instead of a subscription option, there’s a one-time fee to upgrade premium features. After using it in one meeting I was ready to purchase the premium version but then I opened my e-mail in split view on my 2018 iPad Pro 12.9 (3rd gen) and the Agenda app started crashing. It doesn’t seem to matter what is open next to it, when in split-screen view Agenda keeps closing. I’ve gotten unexpected crash warnings and I have submitted crash logs to the developer. I work predominantly in a split screen view - it’s the reason I bought the larger iPad. Until this bug is resolved there’s no way I’m purchasing anything. Sadly I may have to go back to a more stable alternative - even though I love the premise of this app.

Seriously lacking a key functionality

This app needs templates for projects. It has templates for notes which for me is useless but templates for projects would be priceless. The first request for this functionality on the devs website for Agenda was in 2018 and several others followed. All such requests have been commented on by several users stating how much they desire this functionality. Based on how nice this app looks & functions (this one critical issue aside), I doubt that it can’t be done and I don’t understand why it hasn’t with so many requests. This app is not cheap. I use it for several tasks but one is for planning woodworking projects. I have a project I would like to use as a template as I have notes within it that apply to all of my woodworking projects (Materials, cut list, joinery by part, machining by part, assembly instructions/order). For each project, each note is different (thus a template for notes to me is useless) but I need the same notes in each project (thus the need for templates for projects). I understand not all requests for update can be done or are feasible (I think this can be done and is feasible) but what is frustrating is the number of customers requesting the functionality and it not being implemented in the 4+ years since it was first requested.
